I'd definitely be speaking to the tyre place, that obviously broke your wheel arch liner. I had a similar thing happen to my R32. I took it to a so called reputable VW specialist in Greater Manchester. When I was inspecting it, as I always do after being with a garage. I found that one of the mechanics had taped my engine cover back together from underneath, as he'd snapped it clean in half. I received a genuine replacement from the owner after returning the next day, and with my Yorkshire attitude, demanded that the damage what accured whilst in his care, was rectified. Don't take any sh#@t. Great vid.

I had to replace both my sending and slave unit for my clutch. Also replaced the clutch.
The issue I had was that the pressure needed to push the pedal was increasing.
It got to the point where it was four times as hard as on my 2014 Infiniti Q60S.
The slave cylinder had basically failed. But, instead of the clutch not working,
it worked very hard. I could still drive the car and shift with no issues, though.
This happened at around 115K miles. Bleeding these systems can take some time.
I don't know why but mine was a bear to bleed. But, again I replaced both
the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder. These cars have their little issues
like any car, but they are generally pretty durable little cars. The Infiniti variants
(G35, G37 and Q60) are also pretty tough little cars and based on the same
    platform.

Have a 2004 track edition 350z myself. 200.000km on it. Had a bad ignition coil.(buy and easy replace) For the rest, had no problems ever. Just plain regular maintenance. High quality cars, very good value for your money.

OOO could You link that Amazon box of clips ?? Was looking for something like that for ages !!!
Also if it goes for clutch do the adjuicer trick and change the clutch pedal spring much better.
BTW. Whan are You dumping those horrible leather seats ?? Was first thing to go in my Zee was all over the car in them :S

    • @RoadandRacetv
      @RoadandRacetv  6 років тому +2

Will try to post that link today. It’s a good selection of clips!
Not aware of the clutch spring change. Where do you get it? Does it make the clutch less heavy?
Going to look at seats next week

Softer spring more pressure plate feedback. You can try take the spring out alltogether for and see how that is.

I traded my leather with fabric ones on 350z fb club. Lighter and better side support and look better also :D
BTW. So far remap made this car actually almost as fun as my DC2.

You should grab some spray sealant if you haven't protected the paint after claying. If you want to keep it simple something like Sonax Brilliant shine and a few microfibers would do the trick nicely. Just sorting out a load of niggles on my E92 M3 too like you are with the 350.

Fender liners are always missing in New York including my daily. We have very harsh winters. Anyways replacing it is smart as your car would hydroplane like crazy without. Ask me how I know

I personally like to use regular car soap with water in a 5 gallon bucket as lubricant for clay. I simply just rinse the whole car after I’m done claying and dry the car.

Neil - you've put all that work into cleaning the paint and you've left it completely naked?! Please tell me that you've put some form of paint protection on there post-clay? Looks like the car is coming together nicely - curious to see how performance continues to improve. It never ceases to amaze me how people neglect to take basic care of these expensive clumps of metal. SMH

After owning a 350z I really want to like this video but I can’t. I easily spent around £4000 on mine over 3 years repairing major mechanical issues and a ton of minor issues. That type of money plus the cost of the car and the insanely poor mpg could easily purchase an maybe a decent S5 or cayman-s.?
