There is nothing weird about Freyermuth's vice chairman position. If you look at 3:56 you can see he's been "Co-Founder & Vice Chairman" from "Oct 2011 - Present" and if you look right below that, it says "Austin, Texas, United States". Then if you look at 4:20 it says he was "Co-Founder & Vice Chairman" from "Dec 2013 - Jun 2024" and if you look at the lines below, it says "CLOUD IMPERIUM GAMES UK LIMITED Manchester Area, United Kingdom". It's pretty obvious what happened - Freyermuth was the VC for CIG UK and CIG USA, and he left the UK job. He's still the VC for the "main" CIG.
I'm aware. I was "stirring the pot." It wasn't too hard. I was hoping more people would look this up and engage more.
A little bit about Ortwin Freyermuth. According to Companies House (the source of the document you showed) Freyermuth resigned from the boards of 3 CIG related companies when he stepped down as General Consul in May 2023. The UK also listed Freyermuth as having resigned from the board of Cloud Imperium UK on June 26th. Something you missed is that before stepping down from the board Freyermuth sold off his 973,990 shares (8% ownership) in CIG. In fairness, the selling of the shares only came to light on September 10th. I'm guessing that after working with Chris Roberts since 2005 he finally decided to retire. He is 75 years old, after all.
About Freyermuth's connection to the new trademark application. CIG uses a DC trademark lawyer named John Paul Oleksiuk to handle trademark issues. And Oleksiuk is the legal contact on the application for Soulsinger. Not really sure how Freyermuth fits in there except the coincidence of the date of the application and CIG making Freyermuth's resignation in the UK official. But that's a huge stretch.

@@ScarredCitizen I've been covering CIG's financials for years. The only thing that was new to me was the trademark application. If you're still digging, I wouldn't be surprised if the trademark is for a Turbulent non-gaming application. Just because CIG bought Turbulent doesn't mean the Canadians stopped working on non-Star Citizen projects.
Also, look at 3:56 and 4:20. Freyermuth left the UK subsidiary, he's still working for CIG in Austin so he hasn't really left what we'd call "CIG".
I like the idea of this being Ai tools for NPCs. The name would kinda fit.

😂 I can't tell you the truth because it would cast doubt on the magic behind the new universe we are building. Remember the tech nology in this world can be duplicated the higher worlds and cascaded down to sub worlds or in this case galaxies. With official termination paperwork like that it could be a separation formality and he is now going over to Soulsinger. I think people seem to forget that these kinds of executives don't get "fired" they get terminated into a promotion.
I like the simplest answer:
There was a disagreement with Chris and this guy here cashes in his chips rather than continue.
The real tell will be whether he retains his CIG stock or it is sold.
Even simpler answer: the company he left was CIG UK and he's still working for CIG USA. Look closely at 3:56 and 4:20.

Scarred, the basis of any good "Conspiracy Theory" is SPECULATION, SPECULATION, SPECULATION!! I agree that a trade mark for a piece of software entitled Soulsinger is both eyebrow raising AND somewhat intriguing. Could be anything from a new back end software suite governing NPC behaviors and reactions, a single player Won and Done adventure set in the Star Citizen Verse, or even a full on Won and Done Multiplayer RPG Dungeon Crawler set in the Star Citizen Verse or perhaps a Digital Rock/PoP Band set in the Star Citizen Verse or a CGI Digital Mini Series for Web TV or some other Media distribution. The ONLY thing that really matters is IS IT Star Citizen related, or SOMETHING ELSE?? Because if "something else" and it's being made off the back of monies provided for the development of Squadron 42/Star Citizen by Backers through their Ship Pledges, Gear Sales etc (whatever it is people pay money for in the Store at RSI Website.......then it's an ethical/moral question, possibly even a criminality question????? There, Scarred is my Tuppence Worth view of the matter.

But now, this is a bait and switch. Master modes has made the game an actual scam. Especially if you look at “flight model and input controls” still on the RSI website.
I appreciate transparency. If they dont want speculation then they can choose to disclose the reasons. Or accept that people will come to their own conclusions to their detriment or not. o7
Its not uncommon to file for trademarks for future use, protection or even as placeholders. Good research, very curious to see where this goes.
