Greetings to Éire from Bavaria/Germany! This car was manufactured in the BMW plant Dingolfing (80km away from me). Many neighbours, friends and relatives worked on this! We're happy you enjoy it!
ElektronikIdee that's fantastic to hear, thank you!
If you ever experince any problems with the radio or sat nav, let me know, maybe I can help.
ElektronikIdee that's really nice what a lovely comment
I have a e38 2001 740iL
388 000 km
Russia, Siberia
Best beautiful car
Totally agree the bmw and merc from 80s and 90s are what you call cars...
You have made me proud of my E38, 5.4, V12 '98 with only 85,387 miles, American Specs, is quite a bit more luxurious with double glazed windows, curtains and the rest. Yes, it is a great car to own and drive. I use it only for European Travels. The engine really opens up and roars on German Autobahn. Like you I have 235/50/R18 front and 255/45/R18 ContiSports 3. Pixels on the Dash are almost unreadable. I suppose I need to spend some money to make it look like yours. Congratulations!
Best looking 7 series to date!
Yeah, G10 is probably the best 7 series but not the best looking. E38 is the one
G11/12*
Cem Yükseloglu Yes, you're right
E38 is the best looking 7 series made to date, period, no contest, end of story. Thank Chris Bangle for ruining the line starting in 2002, and new models still haven't returned to the understated elegance of the old ones. Future classic.
... And still 🔥
Absolutely stunning car. Far better than any brand new cars coming out now
Exactly! I mean is it cause we are just getting old but maybe not its just the newer generation of designers have lost their way. There is no fucking doubt about that. Each line on this car is there for a reason cause the 7 after this is just terrible needles silly fucking miss guided trying too hard fuck I could go on all night. Who the fuck gave the go ahead for the latter? bloody madness and wtf is with the grill on the 2020 version? Am i alone in thinking its just shite?
Got myself a e38 and I'm about to restore it so that it looks brand new like yours. Got the same color and I love it :) you did a great job
Well? Did you do it? There is no video on your channel about it...
Thank you for taking care of this car. Not many people want to restore 90s car.
Man,that is BMW for life. One of most beautiful ever.
One of the sexiest sedans ever built. I love these!
This is the most beautiful BMW ever made !
Nice to see one that hasnt got stupid M badges, slammed on coilovers with stupid stickers
Gorgeous car!
This is how i want my E38 if i had one. Those ''Tomorrow never dies'' rims are HOT!
Wow man, amazing work!! Love the car :) I have an e39 540i
Michael Ronin I also have an e39 540i. They're great.
i have e24 635csi 84'
Gabriele gabri mines an 87
Just got rid of my non vanos e39 540i 6 speed and got an e92 335i... missing the e39.
I also had an e39 540. But it was written off 2 years ago. I miss it so badly 😭
That's an elegant cruiser -- no need to hard accelerate through the gears in a motor like this, relaxed driving, roll the window down and listen to that straight-6 (with a hidden switch to bypass the silencers/mufflers, of course)
I had 2000 728 I and 1996 728 I, and I never felt that the engine is not powerful enough for the weight of the car, great engine and transmission, love it.
Engine is fine. But the tranny is not...why the hell torque converter clutch disengages on 5th gear and above 90 kmh only? If the clutch was involved on all gears (like my same age renault does) it would completely diffferent experience. By the way, how do u find the difference between m52tu an m52 non vanos ?
The E38. The best looking 7 series imo. Keep up the good work.
The last nice BMW! Thanks for saving this one!
Beautiful Car! Great Job! Owned an E39 540i 6 speed and it never looked this good! Moved to an E60 535xi recently (after a few year gap in BMW ownership). Glad to be back in a BMW!
Very nice. Keeping an old classic looking good.
Congratulations. Yours is probably the most beautiful e38 7 that i have ever seen. And the little spoiler in the back?...fantastic. Again, congratulations.
Damn, that's a fine piece of metal right there! The golden age of BMW and arguably of the industry as a whole. This car is probably better than the new 7 series. Pure class!
Beautiful car.
Stunning actually.
Personally I love 3 series with the exception of these 7 series an some 5's of that era. The body is so sleek and the paint is gorgeous. You're attention to detail is phenomenal. This is high on my list of dream cars.
The last of the glorious 7 series.
This was the king of cars at one point.
Great job! Had a 2001 740iL. Had the 6 Series premium package 19" inch staggered fitment on mine. Owned an auto detail company for 6 years so was super clean and sharp like yours. You have done a fantastic job. Never sell it!
It looks even like a brand new one. Respect man
Very nice indeed, that straight 6 is a great engine, along with other fine engines from BMW.... I would love a E38 750 Li V12
Fell in love with this car when I saw it in the Transporter movie!! so badass!
Congratulations for this wonderful car... For me this is the best lookin 7er ever! Great job and always ride safe!
So nice! So classy. Very good work. Love the clean and not tuned look. You have an eye for aesthetics.
Love this model design. It's a classic.
Loved this video! Attention to detail bought a smile to my face 😁
One of the most handsome cars ever built, for sure.
That is one clean and straight E38! Nice work.
Top class job, looks superb.
I'm running an E36 325SE with 157k from 1994 and trying to get it up to spec.
Runs beautifully and sounds good, Dunkel Blue, its coming along but takes time and money but what a great drive, no tearing about but such a nice car. Thanks for sharing, great looking car and great job!
Absolutely beautiful! You should be proud.
Definitely the best color BMW ever produced.
My brother in law had one. I think this was one of the best looking 7 series BMW made.
Looks like a luxury house inside ... timeless bmw design
Great work, takes a plethora of effort and care to reach this plateau. I have a 97' a4 and I completely empathize with the side molding clips. Have been a hobby mechanic for over 10years and have never seen a personal restoration this clean, 120% bro!
looks like it just came out of the dealership, amazing job!
Stunning looking car. I had one and really regret passing it on....
That's a beautiful looking car, keep up with the good work 👍👍👍
Beautiful car, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this! Great inspiration for my E39 restoration project too. E38, E39 and E46 are some of my favourite cars ever.
Wow, love it! You detailed and restored it, no cheap tuning or other crap. Just straight bring the best out of this wonderful vehicle. All about original parts.
You are a real petrol head. Like!
Just love those E-38's and love all older version BMW's. These kids today just don't understand a no frills driving machine and neither does the new corporate BMW office these days. It's disgusting and disgraceful that they don't offer improved versions of these and E-46 and so on of these generations. It's a total shame !!! I'm more German than they are in this regard-very sad !! And for the record I bought 10 to 15 BMW'S including the newer iterations but was disappointed in their lack of agility and drivers feel that previous generations all shared.
m2 competition finally seems a promising alternative to e46
I do love a 7! This one is beautiful, amazing condition for the age and miles
Beautiful work, especially the paint. Wish the E38 US version would've been available with the six cylinder engine.
She's beautiful! Great work has been done!
Amazing, your BMW looks great.
I always wanted this Car. Most 7 series ended up With Ballers who don't care to spend the money it take for the up keep and every 7 Series is run into the ground. This would be a great Car to rent out for Movies, cause this looks like Brand new
Your car looks fantastic, it is a great credit to you
Dolby digital tape player, for the players.
That's some awsome history you have with it.
Amazing. I owned a 1995 E38. After having an oil leak repaired by a reputable mechanic the engine caught alight 2 months later. Now i own a E65 but still prefer the E38 740i
absolutely beautiful car. The back end of the E38s and the E39s are perfection.
I can't see much detail in a video... But I guess if this is what it looks like from here on.. You are a true master in many aspects! The paints looks beautiful!! Love it!
Congratulations for the work, the car is in brand new condition !
Beautiful car! Great work man!
Good work beautiful car..love the smooth quiet engine
Great work, congrats
A fine example.. You should be proud of your work.. Well worth the time and effort..
Thank you sir!
Look like a million dollars! Amazing what some love can do
A great example. Top work
gd damn that is beautiful .. awsome work
It amazes me how much tech was in a car of that age. So ahead of it's time
Rich Oldham Well that one and S-Class from the 90's, had all the tech too! 👍
Crazy cars!
Everything else just lagging.
mad respect!!! these cars are so beautifull and awesome.. its a car from, when they made cars that was better.
The car looks fantastic, great job! Even being that old it`s still good looking and worth keeping.
mate this is hands down the best e38 i have seen in my life, i wouldve thought you'd charge more lol. Well done m8 n keep up the great restorations.
Beautiful. Favorite car right there 👌🏼
That's a great looking 7 series and it also has the best plate in all of Ireland Louth
I have always loved that long and sleek design. It's just so classy and even though it's a bit long in the tooth, that model still looks stunning.
That 7 series is the car that made me fall in love with BMW. To this day I still wish I had one. That style never gets old to me.
One thing I would do is try to change that cell phone/arm rest. I would try to find a plain looking arm rest.
You have a great car.
Great job man, it looks amazing! E38 is my favorite Bimmer, it's such a beauty.
Thats a lovely e38 you got there. Love that you kept it original. I got myself an 750i -95, orientblau (one of the best clours BMW ever made, as you said yourself) schnitzer type II wheels. Same interior as you. I love my car and I'am in the begining of the process of restoring it to its fromer glory since it's a little bit worn unfortunately. Gr8 work!
Best of luck with your own, great to hear!
Lovely car and a credit to your attention to detail and keeping with the original design. Very tasteful mods in keeping with the era.
wow, you did a great job restoring that car.
Stunning machine! big up man! :)
Beautiful restoration of a modern classic. Mine is like yours.
Sweet looking ride. Good restoration job.
that interior alone is stunning. so clean and nice
Congrats, is one of the coolest car ever made. I have one at job 16 years ago (725D) and I'm thinking to buy one as a second car in a future.
beautiful car man! I think this looks so much better than the newer 7 serieses.
Such a gorgeous car, good job m8!
Looks great, well done!! Just like when it came out of the factory!!
Thanks so much.
It looks like a brand new car, good job mate!
Very good work sir. I restored my 2002 Audi S8 and had to sell it for cheap as I was moving abroad. Still regret it.
Moto ciklista, I too sold my D2 S8 and regretted it so much I bought it back two years later when it reappeared on Ebay. It had a full Milltek exhaust system when I sold it and thankfully the new owner hadn't removed it but the rest of the car had deteriorated and it took me quite a while to bring it back up. I have vowed never to sell it again. I just love it so much. It's called Edward, for no particular reason. It still surprises a lot of sports car drivers who don't know what it is and the V8 rumble is gorgeous.
Very interesting story David! I'm really glad you found yours and brought it back! They are amazing cars and that sound is unbeatable. Mine had the rear silencer removed because I wanted to keep the stock tips and the it was amazing. The moment you start the car, that sound, you know it means business. 15 years later it is still quick and the interior is still beautiful. Leave your email and I'll send you a couple of pictures of the one I had!
All the best!
Beautiful!
The best looking bmw by a country mile !! Its getting hard to find nice clean original examples like yours!!! Was looking for one a while ago up the north but nothing about and some if the E38s in England where awful!!
Very clean. I had a 2000 750iL for many years.
The last good looking 7 series
Beautiful car
Thanks for keeping it OEM
Great job.
My E38 2,8i parking in garage last 8 years, driving only season 04 / 10 months, not in winters.
😎👍👍👍
what a beautyfull E38 728. the 6 cilinder indeed might not be the fastest, but i know, becouse a friend of mine has the same car, if you want to cruise arround, the 6 cilinder is the better engine, its super smooth, it pulls till redline. its an awsome car for its age :)... a feeling tells me that it will be an aprecciated classic in the future
This is an amazing car. Fair play on putting so much work into it. Unfortunately my insurers won't even quote me on it. Bad times. I'll have to hold out a few more years.
Lovely car. Bet its beautiful to drive :)
Top tip : put some heat shield around a ABS module because it tends to fail especially on petrol bmws, if it's 001 with ASC it will fail eventually and it costs a lot.
Absolutely stunning! That car is very lucky that you care for it so well. I have a 2002 E39 M5 that I lavish the same sort of attention on, and I'm glad to know there are other that do the same for BMWs of this era. The E39 and E38, I don't feel, have been matched by BMW; they represent a real peak in my opinion. Thanks for sharing this!
It is a beautiful restoration! Great work!
that is an amazing car! great stuff, man!
Love this car. Clean.
