I travelled the West Coast for three months, visiting family, camping, and doing/seeing as much car stuff as I can (I live in The Netherlands), and the Pomona Swapmeet was thè sickest and most awesome car-related thing I went to. Like, we got there at 07:00 a.m. and left at 03:00 p.m. and we still had only seen maybe half of everything. It's IMMENSE, and so much fun! A must-see for every car guy and girl.

Best excuse? Non car people get it when I say I have a deep need to preserve and continue the car tradition to the next generations to enjoy. Some cars were only made for a short time, so it's up to the collectors to bring these cars into the future.

Few years ago my dad and I took the Radio Flyer from my childhood and made it a stretched and slammed Rat Flyer, rusted/patina paint, chain handle, half an inch off the ground, axles moved out past the box and a tiny metal "fuel tank" to match a rat rod. Still have yet to built the rat rod to go with it. Some day it will happen.

Pomona Swap meet pro tip. Best deals and coolest items are swapped on Saturday. Go early on Saturday. The other venders will pick your stuff, you can pick theirs.

I want a 90s impala. Those were the last beautiful full sized American sedan in my opinion until Tesla. Also the last generation of american sedans being RWD until the Charger came back as a 4 door. I would still love to build one like I did in Midnight Club 3 on 20 inch BBS LMs.
