Wow I’ve used Bagnon and/or Adibags for years, but I think Sorted my just change my life forever! Thanks SoulSoBreezy for sharing and putting this list together. Lots of great stuff in here.
Sorted is such an amazing addon, it took me probably a week to get used to it because it's such a vastly different way of interacting with your items, but I stuck with it because I could see the potential benefits. I'm so incredibly glad I did, inventory management is a breeze now.
I still prefer AdiBags, to be honest. I wouldn't mind something *like* Sorted as a default UI upgrade, especially for controllers, but I prefer just visually sorting where items are more than having to use lots of clicky filtering options whenever I open my bags. I know where new items are. I know where my armor is. I know where my consumables are. It's the functionality of default UI with more dynamic category numbers and sizes.

Thanks for the content, as always :)
Thanks for the list, I will add some. Do you know why Details is more memory efficient since Recount uses less than 2 MB of memory, and Details uses about 10 MB of memory?
@@michaelvittori8525 If I recall correclty the impact was on the actual data processing midfight - you can configure Details to do it less often, for example as in every 0.5, 0.8 second instead of real time, and as easily as changing a slider, the impact on the actual processing is noticeable - specially add-intensive fights (Hivemind comes to... erm... Thank you for your recommandations ! I've discovered a few here, I will try them :) Some ideas too : Hekili is by far the best addon for rotation helper out there. Just, give it a try, it's awesome. To clear up the bar, my personnal favorite is Opie : every shortcut you can imagine at the range of a mouseclic without anything in the view. Ideal for mounts, portals, heartsthone, toys, food, flasks, markers, etc, etc.
A few of my favorite lesser known addons: - Molinari - Let's you perform the processing action on items/lockboxes by holding ALT and clicking the item. It's a godsend for disenchanting, milling, lockpicking and so on. :) - Cosplay - Adds a very useful "Undress" button to your Dressing Room, letting you easily undress your mage to see that new pair of pants. - Select - Adds a /select command to macros that let's you do dropdown lists like a Mage's portal menu. Super helpful to "stack" items and reduce clutter on your action bars. I use it for Hearthstones, mounts, food, etc... Smaller alternative to addons like oPie! Loved the video! There's a couple of addons I'll try like Aardvark and Sorted!
For those of you who don't want to hassle with configuring macros for debuffing/dispelling, use Decursive. With a very simple UI and a click of the mouse, it automatically uses the appropriate spell to remove whatever debuff you can remove from yourself or a party member. A few of these other addons I will be taking a look at tho, so ty Soul :)
Great video! I forgot about some of these and will be re downloading them. One I would also suggest is Addon Control Panel (ACP) it allows you to enable/disable addons on the fly.
Elvui can provide almost all of the addons which SoulSoBreezy mentioned in this video. Actually personally, I prefer 7-8 addons + Elvui rather than 40+ addons.
Litemount (mount management) ...Postal(mailbox)...Auctionator(simple auction management)...Better wardrobe(xmog management)...Decursive(quickly shows who to decurse)...Myslot(copying action bar layouts and macros across characters)...Prettyreps(shows reps across entire account)...Savedinstances(shows currencies, instance lockouts, m+ keys and more across all charcaters/servers)...Talent set manager(manages talents)...Loot spec manager(manages spec/loot per boss in advance)...
As someone who has only played a bit of WoW and is looking to get more into it, I'm surprised how many of these haven't officially been coded into the game as quality of life changes given how huge this game is. The inventory especially seems like it'd get *so* messy without addons. Wow.
Button Forge. City of Heroes has the best button layout IMO. Button Forge lets me make my own. Alt+attack or CTRL+attack triples the number of quick commands i can use.
ALL THE THINGS will also show you if yo9u've collected a. the appearance of that specific item (I *think* you might need to have a toon of each class for specific set items to register as collected, but I'm not 100% sure) or b. that appearance from any possible source, so you shouldn't need a separate mog tracker addon *unless* ALL THE THINGS really slows your machine down. One more suggestion for the collector nerds: Rarity. It tracks how many attempts you've made that qualify to drop pets, toys, mounts, etc. along with the projected overall percent chance you now have of receiving that item (you can filter out stuff you don't care about, too). Rarity also takes a screenshot when you loot a rare item for the first time so you can spam it on your social media! Another one I like is Mount Journal Enhanced. It even tracks when you earned that rare mount! (It will scour your achievements for the older mounts even if you install it after you've obtained that particular mount)
Do note that for Dynamic Cam you need to check the box for Advanced Settings which it not checked by default. I had forgotten about it but I do find it helpful so thanks for the reminder. I'm also trying Sorted and already liking it better than Adibags.
I use ElvUI, it pretty much has every one of these addons all in one. Also I use Adibags due to the fact you can sort to the groups you set in TSM4, its very helpful if you use TSM. That bag addon Sorter looks very cool though I might try it just for fun.
Too each their own, I hate world Quest Tracker because it muddies up the map way to much to my liking. As far as other addons go, I suggest Opie, for things that you don't want to put on bars, but you use often enough. WIM for whisper as it puts it into it's own chat Window. Basic Mini Map to change the scale size and scale of your mini map.
If you don't know how to customise addons then yeah ELV is good, but you are totally limited by their interface and customisation. With individual addons you can make a totally unique and bespoke UI for yourself, which you can't with ELV
@@SnoozeyP30 have u even seen ELVui?its the most custimizable one out there:D just check wago for strings, there is like 200 profiles and each looks totally different and unique:D

I use Healbot as my healer addon, is there a better one out there? I am not complaining about Healbot, but I kinda just picked the first one I heard about and didn't shop around.
mouseover macros with either default raidframes or a raidframe addon is more effective than healbot simply due to the fact it doesn't lock up your mouse to use so you can reposition on the fly
I use Healbot also. I've tried others "recently Clique+Grid2" but all the work I had to do to get Grid to show my spells while healbot had it built in wasn't worth it. heal bot is a mouse over (just uses mouse left/right + other keys) while traditional mouse overs use Letter keys. I'll choose this comment. That's exactly why I don't bring up addon platforms like ElvUI, I prefer this format as an "a la carte" solution where players can pick and choose. If someone is only looking for a single feature that ElvUI happens to offer, would it be worth it to do a total conversion to make that happen? And is it worth turning everything else off except what they're looking for, when they could have downloaded a simple standalone addon instead?
@@SoulSoBreezy That doesn't make much sense, you can just choose to disable something you might not like on Elv Ui, its much more streamlined and it really doesn't come with any annoying bloat.
ElvUI is kind of a bit overboard though, in terms that it literally changes almost everything.. For many people they just want to customize their own setup bit by bit, not install ElvUI and spend time removing bits and pieces they don't like. Also, personally I have never really liked the feel and look that ElvUI gives. But that is just personal preference, ofc, for others they might like that look.
@@VeloxNOR seen dozens of people go to it. Not one has complained. If you're afraid of change so be it, just don't give excuses for elv ui being bad as that's just plainly false. It modernizes the game.

OmniCC still has some advantages such as changing font and color based on time left. Also OmniCC shows the duration left on debuffs, which the default UI does not have, and also shows the recharge time left on DK runes
For dps tracking I use 'Recount.' it's definitely an older add-on (and I personally like wayy better than the ones) but it keeps track of YOUR DPS and anyone else's in your Dungeon/Raid/party. Also tracks several other stats like 'interrupts' and several others 😉🤓

@@SoulSoBreezy ember, (TeleportCloak, Opie, along with cloak of coordination, wrap of unity, shroud of cooperation), SatchelScanner, and EasyDeleteConfirm are some of the ones that come to mind.
@@SoulSoBreezy try Glass addon, superb chat addon
thank you ! i was able to add a few useful ones for my preference.
I ran across an addon by volunteering to test it for an author on Beta. It's called Poliquest, have you tried it?
does anyone know the addon you see watching streams that give a live scrolling feed of the icon for the moves that they're using in real time? it looks a little bit like a scrolling tell me when bar. I currently have details streamer plugin and I don't think that's the one, unless I'm not configuring it properly
the details streamer plugin is what came to mind for me
Great video Soul. Quick question: Have you ever used Rarity? It tracks mounts, pets, toys etc. so you can figure out what you have and don't have.
It currently doesn't seem to be working though =/
I have, it somehow didn't make the list
Currently can't be uploaded to Curse so the author has a direct download link on Curseforge.
www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/rarity
EDIT: Need to use 7Zip to extract the folders as Windows built-in file extractor encounters an error.
FarmHUD and Routes, are the holy triad along with Gathermate for gatherers!
why would u use questplates if blizzard already implemented a sort like feature ?
tmog roulette also not working
Isn’t twitch done?
Not exactly. Twitch the company isn't going anywhere, but they sold off their addon repositories and management to Overwolf. The Twitch app will continue to handle Curseforge-hosted addons until the middle of November. Supposedly the Overwolf addon manager is coming in a week or so, which means you can switch as early as it becomes public.
Thanks. i have all 40 turned on.
elvui is currently down, not sure when the site will be back up
So I just noticed Soul you are also on my server (idk if you try to keep it hidden so I won't say it to be safe) but Your prot paly looks just like mine that I have had since WOTLK.
The only addon I use is a dps meter and I only use that because I got tired of asking for people to link meters.
wow Sorted looks much more my style, I used Bagnon for longest time, then Adibags more recent years but Sorted looks far more comfortable
also, great tip about hiding unit frames until you mouseover
I just like how elvUI replaces most of those.
I've always wanted to like elvUI but I've never been able to get it setup to my liking.. idk what it is exactly, i just dont like it.
Same bro. Love it
Great list! Maybe try in the future
*Carbonite*
*Raven*
Natch_DFBang
Natch_BGBang
Leatrix_Plus
xMerchant
So do you just keep hitting ignore when all these add ons errors pop up that you have listed?
Try the addons BugSack and BugGrabber =D
TipTac doesnt work since ages for me
Elvui turns this list of 40 into about 5
Agreed, Elvui and TSM will cover almost everything ever needed.
nope
Does anyone else hate AFK arena but never actually played it?
Khes'yc Mount for managing flying, ground, group mounts.
Badboy addon! Cleans up trade chat so nicely! You can add any keyword to the list and it will hide any trade chat comments that include that word. In my list I've included keywords like WTS, anal, trump, gold, carry, ect....
Plater is the king of addons. There is simly nothing like it around.
remember the good ole days when you played the game and it was not the addons playing you ?
I don't use any addons. Every one I have used I just didn't care for.
I wish gave the Twitch links as well as the curseforge!
they're the same
@@SoulSoBreezy yes when I get the addons from curseforge I have to copy the filename of the addon and then goto twitch and get the addon using the twitch app which is a pita to do with the 40 addons I used to be able to get twitch to open the twitch addon window but its not working atm we are still waiting for overwolf to be handing addons instead of twitch
ok I just got the alpha for curseforge
Ah I see. Just tested it and sure enough the Twitch app no longer responds to CurseForge =(
Thank you Soul, very cool.
HeroRotation will be useful for me, I've been playing classes i normally don't .. so yay
Hekiili is way better tho
If i wasnt using ElvUI and set up my minimap button box the way i like it i would probly jump all over that button bag
So many addons, so little time. Transmog roulette looks fun though.
Better wardrobe and transmogs, Aspect of the hunter.
ooo tiptac looks good will be trying that
I try to stay under 10 addons, but it's hard I usually use almost 20
Titan Panel its on of my favorites
I never like videos. I liked this video.
that redesigned char ui is the only interesting one for me
same, with ElvUi and Weakauras I have everything else covered ^^
i used to use pitbull with dominos, now i'm on elvui :D gg for all the rest :D
So you will probably use 40+ addons in SL ??? Hot Dam 0.o I'll stick with 3 of them thanks ^^
Combuctor= best bag addon.
TipTac is awesome, but to me it feels incomplete without *"SimpleMouseoverTarget"*
Just got into wow and this video was a fucking life saver
Its 2020 use Elv Ui, it has more than half of these already inside of it.
That's a no for me dog, elv ui is absolutely horrid to look at
@@SoulSoBreezy That doesn't make much sense, you can just choose to disable something you might not like on Elv Ui, its much more streamlined and it really doesn't come with any annoying bloat.
Bring back the Bejeweled Addon.
wrong Video Titel.. it should be named "how to crash your Interface in a Breezy way"
omniCC is not longer needed blizzard standart UI have a Cooldown tracker there no reason to download this addon
OmniCC still has some advantages such as changing font and color based on time left. Also OmniCC shows the duration left on debuffs, which the default UI does not have, and also shows the recharge time left on DK runes
Im searching for an addon like DrDamage or My Damage, if someone knows something like that, tell me :D
Just use details
oh my god why wouldn't you time stamp them X_X
Because direct links
What the hell my World Quest Tracker didn't act like that when I installed it :/
I am surprised Elvui wasn't on this list, it did what some of these addons do :>
And it makes WoW look better, in my opinion.
Thank you!
Bagnon is not good i use adibags it displays everything in categories i dont use dominoes either i use bartender way better than dominoes when u click dominoes u get windows all over and settings are impossbile to get into
40?! thats a lot!
