Yeah, 100% agree. Just sold my $800 X-Star on eBay for parts, and was almost like new. Hardly used it and one day it decided that it did not want to hover anymore. And of course Autel washed their hands of it and don't answer their phones or email or IM. Not to mention pulling all the firmware and the app off the Google Play store. Never again!
@@HalfChrome just to confirm.... You guys do not get paid by a manufacturer to review there products and or give them positive reviews? Honest unbiased reviews
Correct. Manufactures do not pay us. No one tells us what to say. We’ve built this channel by giving honest reviews. Some good, some not so good. We refuse plenty of products and point out pros and cons. This video is more of a compilation so we focus on the good. We do provide affiliate links that support the channel.
@@krislawter2459 Usually reviewers do not get paid by the companies - BUT the products reviewed ARE usually provided free to the reviewers. Obviously a company is not going to hand out free goods to anybody who trashes their product. But conversely buyers are not going to follow a reviewer who gives good reviews to rubbish products - so it is a constant balancing act. After watching a lot of reviews you will eventually get a feel for those reviewers who lean to the glass-half-full rather than glass-half-empty style. Also the RCGroups Forums will be 1 way to check real-world users' experience with the product that you are interested in. When you find a reviewer that suits your style (and answers your questions quickly and honestly) then by all means try to support them by using their buying links, liking their videos and commenting on their posts. It would be nice that when people do reviews , that they would also include information to the fact -- if the drone is Remote ID compliant. If it is not, then there is going to be an additional charge to buy the ID Module.
I own many of the drones that you show here! My DJI Mini 2 is still the beast! The MJX bugs are garbage. Mine is made of very cheap budget plastic that breaks very easily!
Dji ain’t the greatest Their battery just burnt down my phantom 3 pro The software updates a lot and when they do they remote doesn’t want to connect to the drone
No offense but you're complaining about having technical issues with an 8 year old drone that until january 2023 was still recieving software updates and hardware technical support. I don't think any other drone manufacturer is going to offer anywhere near that level of post-sale support.
Ok we all know dji is the leader no need to make a big deal that there the best , we get it there awesome ok ok lets check out these knock offs , oh be fore we start , where can i get accessories for these off brand drones ? Oh its not as easy as DJI parts ,,,got it , ok lets check this junk out ......
What sense does it make for everyone in the world to buy only from dji??? Really?? Come on... I like exo blackhawk..remember that wisdom isn't found in the majority... the masses are gullible, hard fact.
Lol, Exo hadn't fixed anything at all with their rebranded Hubsans. As a matter of fact the kid was just a con man selling a brand and he just sold off to Openstore which immediately changed the terms and conditions. Bye bye promised customer service. The kid went on a marketing blitz to get his sales up and sold his brand for a nice big chunk. It was his plan all along.
Thank you. Finally someone calling out turn exit scam that hubsan made exo to be for their presense in north American consumer drone market. It's a shame because Hubsan was actually a decent competitor in the mini drone segment- they graduated from making budget drones to something worthwhile on the zino minis..... then this happens and they go back even worse then what they were
Honestly this comment needs yo be pinned.... but this video isn't about hubsan but this strongly needs to be considered for ANYONE THINKING about buying hubsan
Yes I have a draw full of broken drones in the next draw is my 2 DJI drones in perfect order because anything other than DJI is rubbish simple as that I have personally lived it true I have 6 broken drones do not buy this rubbish only buy DJI the other thing is these cheep drones do not fly for long battery life is half as good as DJI do not waste your money on anything other than DJI Mini 3pro is worth every cent no regrets there
Lol not everyone wants sub 250g drone that will have remote ID forced on it. Yes that is right, every DJI sub 250g drone right now has full remote ID capability which will be enabled with a future firmware update. They assert you can ignore it and it still works, but who knows, that is just a theoretical right now that totally depends on the goodwill of DJI, versus buying a drone that doesnt even have that hardware capability built in. How long after Sep 2023 before their firmware updates no longer work unless you enable remote ID? The fact that one click on their end with a future update enables remote ID for every DJI drone and allows for any Karen to track down your personal location and confront you cause they have nothing better to do. Can't wait till real troublemakers decide they want to score themselves a free drone and have a nice handy remote ID app to track down those owners... No thanks and good luck with that.
@@sojourner99 What are you so paranoid about? All the cases you mentioned are extremely absurd what-ifs that are very unlikely to happen. I do not agree with the DJI fanboy by any means, but your fear-mongering is just ridiculous.
Obviously, you haven't flown any of these drones long enough to give a true review. Most of these drones have garbage batteries that won't last more than a couple of years with proper care. Before you "experts" give your opinions about the quality of a product, try using the product for more than an hour or two. Features mean nothing if you can't keep the drone in the air for more than 10 minutes, even when the batteries are rated for 30 minutes or longer. Autel is the worst when it comes to batteries rated for up to 30 minutes. I have never got more than 10 minutes from a fully charged battery. To make matters worse, batteries from all of these companies aren't cheap if you can even find them after a few years. The drone industry is a major rip-off when it comes to quality and longevity of their products. If you want a more truthful review of any product, talk to people who have used it for longer than the amount of time it takes to make a youtube video.
Perhaps you should look at the videos I’ve made with these drones. I’ve had most of them for years and I have countless flights on most of them. I’m sure some people do that but before you throw that claim at me do your research. These drones specifically I’ve had good experiences with. Everyone has their own luck both good and bad. Managing batteries is important. They are expensive you are right but if you take care of them they last longer. My Evo 2 batteries are years old and still give me 30 min+.
Anafi Thermal has been discounted on the Anafi site plus back ordered on Amazon.
Nice review with different levels of price. I enjoyed this. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the great info! I’m looking for a good camera drone (but tight budget) and wanted to know what you think about HolyStone drones? Thanks
I’ve reviewed a few. I like them but they are overly expensive
Go for a dji mini 3 / 4 then
Great video! Just got my first Dji so this was really cool to watch now that I know the ridiculous standard that drones have to follow.
Outstanding Review!
Thanks and Happy Flying
Thanks Paul!
Great video Jack. Good info for everyone
Thanks Matt
I've never forgiven Autel for making my nearly new drone worthless by discontinuing the batteries! Never buy anything from them again.
That does stink
Good to know, as I was considering one now they're available in Malaysia. That's a hard pass then!

I know where that other half of the chrome went...
Where?
Does half chrome receive any compensation for doing reviews on drones ? As in paid to promote or told what to say about the drone
Nope. No one knows the content of the video until they are released. Just wait for my upcoming worst drone I’ve flown video.

Are Flightelf drones any good?

I'm trying to debate between getting the dji mini 4 pro or the exo mini. I want the exo mini pro but it's not in best buy yet
DJI is the best. Hands down.
@@HalfChrome I thought dji was finna get banned in the US?
@DrezzyEFTP not likely. But we will see

Good but not great
Sjrc F22s 4k pro pretty great too!
Budget thermal! Sold

I look forward to reviews on them.

It’s decent but overpriced.

They buy and rebrand drones. They are fine but if you buy from original manufacturer they are less expensive

LOL. Exactly
Are there ANY drones that are build in the US?
Skydio

The Blackhawk 2 pro 3 battery is around $1100. Way to expensive for a drone that's just a notch above a toy Drone. Way over priced!
I'd rather get a skydio for that amount
