  • 'Soldiers of the Queen' is a British military marching song that was written in 1893 by Leslie Stuart. It became a popular song during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly among British troops, and was often performed at military events and parades.
The lyrics of "Soldiers of the Queen" are patriotic in nature, glorifying the British military and its soldiers. The song expresses admiration and loyalty towards the Queen, celebrating the bravery and valour of the soldiers who serve in her name.
The song is typically accompanied by a lively and upbeat melody, which is well-suited for marching and instils a sense of patriotism and pride. The lyrics and melody of 'Soldiers of the Queen' combine to create a rousing and inspiring tribute to the British military and its soldiers.
'Soldiers of the Queen' has been recorded by various artists and military bands over the years, and it continues to be performed at military events and commemorations. It remains a notable piece of British military music, representing a time honoured tradition of celebrating the bravery and sacrifice of soldiers who serve their country.

This song would not change because of the King, as it was originally referring to Queen Victoria.

In the British Army, England supplies the heavy stuff. Scotland, Wales and Ireland supply the infantry. Sorry if you are a bit miffed.
