Great video. Thanks for sharing. We often do a loop from the coast via Wylam, but never venture further on. Bit of inspiration for this year 😁

Cracking video mate your video just popped up so seeing the title I had to watch as I'm from Newcastle myself I've cycled and walked most of that route over the years will check out your other video's atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍

"... We'll have that", regarding the old road to connect cycle paths. Here in the U.S. most towns and homeowners fight against bicycle paths. Nice to see those trails, paths, and cycle ways, thanks for video!

Thanks for uploading the route via STRAVA. Hoping to draw on your hardworking route planning. I’m fairly local myself, you were a mile a way from my house when you went through Wylam.

Now worries - I go through Wylam quite a lot and Hagg Bank Bridge features on more than one video!

@@GriffKane yeah I’ve been watching your other videos and STRAVA stalking you this morning 🤣 I’m in Clara Vale, so I generally run up, rather than cycle up Hagg Bank. You’re also right about the bridge as well of course.

@@mrjonnylowes BTW. I missed a turn on day 3 - meant to take the bridleway off the A686 opposite Langley Castle.

@@GriffKane okay thanks, I’ll bear that in mind. I’ve had a look and can see the bridleway.

Liked It very much Gareth. England/UK is beautiful. Would like to go cycling over there after seeing this. All though the gravel roads and bridle ways look tough, certainly for a flat land Dutch guy like me. Thanks Gareth!👍💪🏻

      Hi Eric.
There are many miles of old railway lines around the Northeast of England that are mostly flat and can be cycled on a touring bike with sturdy tyres.

Thanks for sharing your adventure. If you ever come to the States for a bikepacking ride you can follow the Potomac River from Washington DC headed west for 185 miles following the old canal towpath. I'll meet you there!

Very interesting video. You could have easily made this a 3 video series of 20mins each. Im from wallsend myself and didnt recognise alot of these tracks. Ive just bought my first road bike so need to get out and explore my local region. Keep up the good work
