nice bag of bream MEL I Always look forward to your videos you are always informative on bait and fishing gear you use ..... and your style of fishing plus inspirational keep it going .....cheers.
Great job Mel! Your UA-cam video was so entertaining and enjoyable to watch. You bagged some good fish. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, keep up the amazing work!
so im not the only one who got some scratches on the boat from those jetskis banging the boat up against the wharf at kyeemagh i was furious when it happened lucky he rode off !
Yeah it’s tragic hey especially in Summer. My boat sides are thrashed and it’s out of my control when I’m waiting in the car to put the trailer in, my poor boats alone getting pumped on the ramp. Very sad 😞
Your vids are so real and not full of filtered cut BS, love them, bakers delight? its Red sky at night Fishermans delight, Red sky of a morning fishermans warning
@@theaussienut6346 thanks hey just try to show the adventure exactly how it plays out without any crap. Really appreciate your comment. Yeah I know ah haha but in my head I always say bakers delight 🤣 thanks for watching ♥️
Thanks Mel you're a joy to watch. I really enjoyed your trip to Cronulla. I haven't fished there for nearly 50 years. Some of it doesn't appear to have changed at all. Used to catch good whiting and bream landbased.
😍thanks Steve means a lot hearing positive feedback. I’m glad you enjoy. Cool to hear it hasn’t changed much in 50 years, you must have some epic memories. I really need to invest more time in the Hacking it’s a beautiful system and I’d love to find those bream ♥️
Red sky at night sailors delight red sky in the morning sailors take warning is one that I have heard before .. just started watching your vids goodwork keep it up
Hey Spikes, great video. Glad you got your upgrade. I was in the other boat that Maritime was speaking to when you made your getaway. Glad to run diversion for you to get back for the weigh in.
Not much good. I was trying to get yakas to go after Kin’s, but couldn’t get any. They we’re being chased by rat kings and salmon and i could not get them to bite. Some nice kingies outside the heads close in. See you out on the water.
Hey Ivan, if I get a lot of small snapper and nothing else I generally move somewhere else. If I’m getting good fish mixed with snapper I will persevere them in hopes I get the big fish interested in the baby snapper commotion.
ANOTHER great video Mel, keep them coming, one question your amped 2 rod you use on most of your videos, which model number is it and where did you pick it up from, many thanks stay safe.
Hey Graham! Glad you are enjoying my adventures 😊 I am not sure of the model number but if its: NS Black Hole Amped II flathead rod 3-6kg 7ft 702M 1 piece Extreme Fishing in Guildford had them a while ago but if you search online you can find it. Also BCF stock them. Hope this helps
Another enjoyable video but why do you only use one bait? When I used to fish botany "my favorite fishing grounds" I always used a least 3 baits plus plastics. I use to know a bloke that was right into the club I waswondering if he is still about his name is Garry he would be in his middle to late 60's now if you bump into him say Chris says hello. cheers 😄😄
Hey Chris I use a lot of different methods but Pilly is by far my fave. I like to stick to one thing when I’m out. Garry Kearnes is in the club, is that him 😂
I usually get them from Sydney fish markets or local fish market in Marrickville: Faros Bros Next choice is IQF Pilly from Last Cast Bait and Tackle in Kingsgrove 👍🏽
Hey Dave last year I objected to catch and kill and for 2023 we have introduced catch and release for most of our comps which is a major win for the comp structure. We can submit images and use the DPI length to weight conversion. I only kept these bream because one of our members wanted to gift them to their parents. I totally agree with you, it’s very important to promote change to these old school rules and our club is up there promoting the release of comp fish which is amazing.

@@spikesfishing Used to catch the bream on my trout gear (spinning) using blood worms on the flats. We used to dig the worms on the flats out Kurnell.
Can we still get blood worms? I don’t remember them
I know you can buy them in Brisbane. It's pretty unlikely that you'd still be able to dig them at Kurnell.

Just as well you had that lizard rag too, you couldn't go to the weigh in covered in bream "fun juice". How'd you go in the comp?
😂 yes very happy I had it and it lives in the boat now for future accidents! I didn’t win the comp but I might have come 3rd. I tried
If you don’t have spot lock for that first location what type of anchor would you use
Reef anchor would be the best choice in that terrain. I’ve seen a few people lose sand anchors there.
