I read 'do they serve beer in Hell' lol. It just sounds like an alcoholic's diary and there was nothing redeeming about it. Jim Carrolls 'Basket Ball Diaries' was really well written and amazing story. But Max's voice as a writer is weak, there is no music in his writing. It just reads like any regular dude's shitty alcoholism. I read it and completely forgot about it. I'm sure he's a nice guy but the writing needs work.
50:40 I have spent years and read a LOT of books and articles on dating and if there was only one book you could read on dating, it's "What Women Want" by Tucker. It's the most self-contained book. Easily approachable and accessible to guys new to the dating field but also delves into inner game and human psychology without holding back.
Heard you mention Tucker Max on a recent podcast and RAN to find this! Tucker Max heavily inspired my teenage years with his stories, and in the worst way possible. But I had so much fun relishing in the humor of my own crazy experiences during a dark time when everyone close to me was extremely pissed off by my actions. 😂 I'm "reformed" (and only a tiny bit regretful), but damn, it was a wild ride. 😊
Loved this. Didn’t realize how much Tucker Max has grown over the years. He’s really intelligent and so self aware! Who would have thought from the guy whose story about anal sex haunts me to this very day. Also, you gotta watch Inside Out. I show it to my adult male formerly incarcerated clients, to teach them about emotions, and often they cry & love it.
