If Tobias never records another note, he's on his way to Valhalla. Just a damn genius for all time. In 10, 15, whatever years, Ghost will pass everbody except the Beatles in terms of greatness. There's no filler with this band. Every song is a hit and every song is banger. No artist this century and no artist since the late 80s, early 90s has affected me this deeply. My love for Ghost/Tobias is endless and boundless. There's nothing else left to say ❤
I feel the same way. This band is pure genius, and so much better than today’s mass-produced, soulless “music” that is so popular.

Depth of Satans Eyes is about not having a purpose, Body and Blood is about the irony of digesting the blood and body of Crist, Year zero is about the anti-crist.
Most of their songs are about religion, they did a cover of bible, and it's blatant either Tobias or some else knows a lot about Christianity, so it wouldn't be far of that one of their more calmer songs would be just that.
Plus the song on the other hand is basically saying eat shit to the previous band members who sued him, there are multiple meanings.

Recently found Ghost. This song really stands out for me. While growing up (and I'm sure still...) my mother was abusive, both physically and mentally. I can never truly describe what it feels like to be in elementary school, and because it was so bad sitting in your room planning out what I was going to do every year of my childhood life that would enable me to get to college so I could escape the pain she caused me every day. Much like the song describes, I may not always be the best person. I have my faults, though I always strive to do good. But she takes the medal as the worst human being on the face of this earth. When she threatened my then girlfriend (who is now my wife of 10 years), that was my last straw and I left despite not being quite financially ready at the time. I had almost become ok with her abusing me, but when I saw her lash out to her I completely lost it.
I found out years later that she hid my father's side of my family from me since birth (he died in the military when I was an infant). I got to only see my grandfather and grandmother once before my grandfather died. They had spent their whole lives looking for me (she changed my name, which made that impossible). I feel robbed, and I will always be scarred because of her. I've since learned to 'forgive' (move on), though that doesn't mean speaking with her or ever reaching out, but she deserves the hottest place in hell. This song honestly has allowed me to reflect in the last couple days, get some stuff out, and to feel better about my situation as I have overcome it all and am now finally doing well. Really appreciate Ghost sharing their passion through their songs, and I hope this is shared with them back one day as a thank you.
Cobra Strike Down you’ve survived this abuse over the years and didn’t let it change who you are, you can survive anything, I can relate to this in so many ways with my father, he’s passed now but every painful experience is a learning curve, what ever happens in the future always stay true to who you are, stay blessed mate 🤘🏻

My cars CD player doesn't work and it hasn't for a couple of years, so I listen to GHOST here on my computer, BUT, I had played it in my best friends car CD player and she is a TOTAL christian, and had made sense of the whole CD and the subject manner to mean that the devil is always in play of peoples minds and thoughts, I really couldn't tell her that she was wrong about it. I had listened to the whole CD of Prequel with her, AND, she had totally understood all of the lyrics, that we aren't all pure and perfect, and yes, the whole cd has songs all about several situations, BUT, I am so happy that my friend has made sense of this metal band that I love's songs, and she really had made me realize the songs meanings more than I had myself.

Peoples interpretations are good but Tobias said the album is a positive message about death they are now less about praising satan.

I think the lyrics are pretty awesome and totally fit Ghost. It’s obviously implying the sacrament of holy communion but with an edge and knowing that this album also has some very personal real-world connotations as Tobias himself has said I can understand that interpretation as well.

I've heard that Tobias was raised Catholic, and a teacher had bullied him and really affected him negatively, saying he was EVIL. I can totally see why he may be affected by all that. I was raised Catholic and went to a Catholic school up to the 2nd week of grade 5. I had then gone to public school, a big improvement in the type of kids I was in school with. Private (catholic) school was full of rich kids, snobby kids. I had gone there myself with my parents paying my tuition, we weren't poor, BUT, we weren't rich either.
In my Catholic school experience, I was fine as far as teachers and NUNS, BUT, the NUNS would single out a student, usually a male that may not have GOTTEN things right away to pick on. Tobias was likely smart and hadn't NOT GOTTEN things right away, BUT, who knows, MAYBE he was a late bloomer. Tobias is a grown ass man,so, he likely has gotten over the injustice in a way, BUT, he seems to have harnessed some of it in a creative and profitable way.

The whole Prequel CD is great, I would totally recommend it to any metal lover who doesn't mind some mention of the devil being a great guy, and/or the subject of a song or 2 saying he's a being to love, and/or respect. I personally LOVE GHOST, BUT, I don't love the devil, I am fine with hearing GHOST's Songs, I really love every GHOST song I've ever heard, BUT, I am not a devil worshiper.
