- After running into some subscribers that were camped only a couple spots over we decided to get together and go for a ride in the mountains. From the streets to the trails this is the beauty of having a street legal dual sport.

You just made SailboaterMike's year. Thanks for running with a couple not-so-technical old guys.
To others: Tanner is an animal. We parked at the bottom and he just rode up into the logs, no hesitation. Also, thanks to Tanner and Alexis for being so approachable and genuine. (Edit: Mike says : Wing Mountain next year)
Hey man! Thanks for having me along and showing me around - was a blast. Looking forward to next year for sure!
Just got mine street legal! Have 13 days off work to ride upper michigan and then the black hills in south dakota
Being sick and bedridden not being able to ride my bike is sucking ass, glad I get to watch you rip around tho man. Good stuff
Good stuff! Just love the low maintenance aspect of the 250F. Such a simple, reliable and capable bike. Making a slow bike go fast is a blast!
When you say low maintenance, don't these bikes still require some engine work based on certain intervals?
Excited to see what you will be doing with Honda.
Hey man i live in az, getting a 250f on wednsday thanks for the inspiration🙏
Killer footage bro. . . .Your video's are always cool man.
Best bike I’ve ever had
Bought thanks to your channel I will add
Awesome to hear! It will last a lifetime.
After years of watching you, I finally pulled the trigger on a klx 230r. I am from Arizona and I hope to one day ride the same trails you do. Thank you!
Congratulations! That's a good bike, I'm always down for ride - next time we're out there!
Well done. I'm waiting on mine (abs as we have to have fitted). It's the only dual sport here in my budget. Australia non of these are road legal including the xr150l, crf250f, klx300 are all non registerable. Leaving the klx230 crf300l and another Kawasaki 250 and maybe a KLX150 as the only dual sport bikes available here
Great vid, I for one appreciate the captions, it’s a nice touch. Haha
So cool that you get together with viewers! If you ever get around to southwest Washington I'd be first in line to show you some trails!
Thanks for sharing ... having fun on the CRF250F ... re technical trail riding on CRF250F, switched to 5w/20 oil in both forks re my conversation with Bruce Tripplett. Works a lot better ... I can keep a line with far less deflection off rocks. Never going to be as good as the best cartridge forks, but works pretty well ...
Overlook was awesome id def say that was worth it!
Great video!
Sweet, almost play button time!
XR250R fork swap. Bruce's Terrain Tamer mod (not to be confused with the simple rods and springs upgrade) with the Race Tech Gold valves. Direct swap, easy peasy. Best upgrade I've done on mine by far (and I have ALOT of upgrades).
I'm loving your videos; your journeys are inspiring. 🏍 How about discussing your strategies for combating fatigue during those long rides and maintaining fitness? Eagerly awaiting your insights
I probably won't do much off roading(at least right away cuz im a noob to motorcycles lmao) but im still for sure going to get a Crf300 rally. Dual sports seem like a bike thats perfect for me atm. Glad I came across the content 🙏🏽
You'll enjoy the crf300l but if you are actually planning on going off road I'd get the standard L version and get a good set of off road biased tyres (if you are keeping road legal or get proper full off road tyres).
The CRF450L is still on my list for a dual sport now that I got a chance to test ride one a few weeks ago, the main down side for me though are the seat height and the engine feeling way hot.
And the price tag.
It's nice to see my home trails on the channel. I play on this single track airport loop and go out to the Harding Point overlook all the time. Great places to explore.
That’s awesome! What a nice playground you have.
I like the way you think 😎🤙🏻
Small world.
Another non dual sport here. I must admit I do get a little jelly and even the 150l can't be road legal in Australia
One video a week! Need more content.
Working on it, been super busy stacking content for y'all!
I just bought a 2023 cfr250F, and first time riding northern Michigan trails the front tire sliding all over. Mainly sandy trails with Stock tires on it. Any suggestions maybe on different tires
👍
Absolutely loved the video. Just bought a 2020 crf250l rally and this bike is just way to street-oriented, notice any major difference with your crf250f from your crf250l?

When are you going to be in Utah?
So close to 100k Subs, Lets go!!!!!!
🎉 road to 100K!!
Sell it, get a 99 dr350 dirt model, street legal it and throw in a set of race tech gold valves in the open chamber cartridges. A little more grunt, a little less weight, and much better base suspension to work with. Still air cooled and has all tge old school tractor type traits. Street model is a little heavier but not far from the 250f
Buy a 1987 Husaberg 430, throw on a turbo, front end off a Camaro, send it.
Honda needs to give us an air cooled bike with suspension that's on the x models, and if they want to bump up that bore to 299cc I wouldn't complain either. I would pay the extra money for better suspension.
If they gave us the option of better suspension even with a price increase, sales would improve instead of people being disappointed and going for the better bikes eg Husqvarna & KTM. I'm going for the KTM 350 or 500 for next dual sport. Honda really dropped the ball & proved how much they care about the customer (I purchased the first batch of 300l in mar 21 & was disappointed as I thought was off road capable but was borderline dangerous at speed off road literally) they are $1100 more now for same bike so I'll wait for the crf 300 LS if I'm going to get ripped off lol (shorter seat height & not as soft)
@@jamesgeorgevellavella1961 Thanks for the insight. Good to know. The KTM 350 does look like a winner.
Thinking about a crf250f for some time now. Starting to outgrow my kx100, and not totally sure what bike next. Was thinking about a 125 2t of some sort, or a xr. Going from a 100 two stroke, to a trail 250, would I be disappointed with the power? That’s the real thing I’m concerned about, thanks though haha
You won’t be disappointed at all! Just don’t expect a powerhouse. If you want a full size reliable trail bike the 250F is money.
I went from a 450r to the 250f, obvious power dif, but I’m not disappointed and the 250f has been a ton of fun to ride on trail, single track, and dual sport.
Where in Arizona? Flagstaff? I’m living in Phoenix and I will love to know some trails! 👍🏼
Their up over towards payson looks like
Are you in Arizona in this vid? Are you from around Delaware, Ohio?
Do a video on how clutch up wheelie drives me nuts how easy you make it look . lol
I did one awhile back on the 300L!
@@AdventureDaily yes I seen it . The 300l is the first bike I have a hard time pulling a wheelie on. Crap lol
I second this. Teach us on the 250f
@@kevin-ll9nxconfidence helps and also having an in seam over 29" helps (I think as I'm the 29" dropping my bike when I stop on any hill lol (dealership gave & fitted bar ends when they saw it lol)
Tanner, big question ! How far or how many hours can you get outta the stock tank on the 250F? Wondering if your planning on putting a Larger tank on !
No one makes a larger tank yet exceptbefore 1 Brazillian company, and it's only like a quarter more than stock. Stock tank, mileage is about 80 miles or so. That's what I get with it uncorked, full exhaust, and EJK
Are you running a larger fuel tank?
What helmet is that?
Tanner, so how would it compare if you just bought a 300 L
Oh suspension is a deal breaker for me.
