I owned a 1995 xg xr6 Ute, 5 spd manual for nearly 20 years , After a year of working for walker exhaust warehouse , I put on a basic Lukey header , kept exhaust 2.5 inch .took off the old system with a square front resy, large main muffler and rear resy, replaced with ACMS 2.5 pipes , offset centre lukey muffler and a lukey 6inch diametre (2.5 internal) rear resy and it sound mint , a nice rumble at idle , smooth deep note , no drone or pop , nice on down shifts , k+n filter , with modified air box made it even better .. Did nothing for power tho .. But sounded way better than the boys in the club , with their full stainless exhaust drone n tiny sound .. Glass pack as straight as ya can get it mufflers , all steel .. I miss that car ...😮
Great content there Max. In November this year I could end up driving my 1984 Nissan Urvan diesel camper into Melbourne area. Look after yourself. Keep up the good work. Please take care. From, William. Mount Gambier South Australia.
Hey Max, cool video. I like what you've done with the falcon. I've got an AU model 5.0 Fairlane Ghia that I want to open up like yours just to get better breathing and hear the V8. Don't wanna spend much either... just connect off the factory extractors and cats.
Try the full redback exhaust bolt up system, nothing bolts up properly. I f you have a grinder and welder you can make it work and is rather loud. Good luck mate.
@@maxgal I've got the same Redback exhaust on mine, sounds good! Mine has the stock cat still in it, thinking of a 100cell hi flow metal cat, should make it a bit louder and might get a few pops and crackles on decel like yours with the gutted cat! 👌
what happens when cops pull a p plater driving a modified commodore? only mild mods like an exhaust and a cold air intake? Any demerit points or just straight defect for the mods? I am in Victoria and im wanting to put those upgrades on my ed falcon
Depend. So it depends on state. Generally as long as it’s rwc mods it’s fine for example if the exhaust isn’t over a certain decibel or the cold air intake is secure they won’t bat an eye. In Victoria it’s never points no matter the mods even if you put a lsa in your ed your all sweet

Go with red back. There cheap as
Get some exhaust heat wrap and wrap it around the tail pipe and put a clamp back on for temporary should seal it for now
New video which fixes all of this coming soon. Thanks tho for the idea

I’ve got extractors already and a bashed cat.
I think I’m gonna do a diff dump for now.
But yeah it is a bit on the quieter side
love it!
Glad bro
