How To String Paper Beads - How To String Paper Beads Horizontally - No Flipping Or Twisting

- How to string paper beads is a video showing how you can easily string flat paper beads lengthways and have them just as neat and tidy as if you had ladder strung them.
Stringing paper beads with a larger hole can sometimes be a challenge if you want them threaded horizontally, because they can twist and spin and look generally messy on the elastic.
How to string paper beads is a tutorial showing how I strung the paper beads I made from one of last weeks free printables.
Using my popsicle stick method, I rolled the paper bead strips to make flat beads which I then wanted to string lengthways instead of ladder stringing them vertically.
It's not easy to string larger flat beads horizontally because they tend to get jumbled together and they don't sit flat on your wrist. They also get very twisted.
But I found a way to string these paper beads that is just as neat and stable as stringing them vertically and I have shared that with you here in this video.
There is also a new free printable on the blog post that goes with this video.
Hope you enjoy learning one way of how to string paper beads and thank you for watching.

Hi, great idea, Thanks 🙂
Hi Denise - thank you, glad you like it. And thanks for watching 🙏 💕
Really beautiful! When I made my round beads, I inserted a wire through the center and added small bead caps to the end, then twisted loops in wire on each side. I wonder if you could do something similar with two wires…
Thank you for that Vivian - much appreciated. Sounds entirely possible. I have done something similar with a paper bead bracelet but i didn’t use bead caps. Good idea. Thank you for watching and taking time to contribute your ideas.🙏💕
Love the bead cap idea !!
It is a great idea isn't it!😃
Great idea. I will give it a try
Thank you - glad you like it and thanks for watching.🙏
@@RainbowLaneI can’t believe I’m still on paper beads even after two years 😅
Great tip! Can you tell me how you strung them for glazing purposes if you use the dipping method. Can you use fishing line like I do with other beads or does that become problematic because of how loose they would be?
Hi, I don’t bulk glaze my beads because I enjoy glazing with a brush. I don’t sell beads so I don’t have the problem of needing to glaze lots at once. So I can’t answer your question. Sorry! Thanks for watching and reaching out though - always appreciated🙏💕
Like well done another idea use gym paper clips of that size may work
Thank you and thanks for watching 🙏💕
may i ask if you glaze before you put the cake stick in or after you glaze ty can't wait to try them
Hi Carol, apologies for the delay in replying - I didn't actually glaze those beads because I used glossy paper. That bracelet is stil going strong without being glazed. If I were to glaze beads where I'd used the cake sticks, I would probably do it after putting the sticks in. Hope you are well and thank you for watching. 🙏💕
Beautiful
Thank you RoseAnne - I’m glad you like them and thank you for watching. 🙏
@@RainbowLane you could also use wider elastic and sew over ends
Hi Shirley - yes you can use wider elastic but it doesn’t stop the beads from turning over like it does with the two channels. That may not matter if the beads look good on both sides though. Thanks so much for watching and taking time to comment. 🙏
Gilly i know this video is awhile back but can i ask you what that tool is that you use to cut the cake stick is and were i can get one ty i sure could use one like that
Hi Carol, it is a very useful tool but I'm not sure what it is called - I will ask my husband, I'm sure he will know - it was actually one of his that I comandeered for my crafts! Will come back to you on that. Thansk for watching.🙏💕
