This is a very doable painting with some very simple brush techniques to create this foggy effect and overall this painting is VERY forgiving as you can ALWAYS cover up a light or dark value at any time making this into whatever you want sooooo let's jump in with bravery!

For 3 years I’ve watched tutorials to keep up with recent trends, get tips, and inspiration. Your the 1st Artist that has supplied me with all I needed to know in one tutorial. Love your work. Btw, I just watched one that was done using 75% of the work dry brushing yet never once was mentioned. Your like a breath of fresh air. I look forward to seeing more. Thank you so very much.
Thank you so much that means a lot to me. Let me know if there’s anything I can help with or anything you’d like to have painted and happy painting to you.😁
Great painting. Really captures attention with those huge creepy trees in the forground
Love this one! After painting it, now I get what I need to do to get the distant trees right and the “lay of the land.” I will paint it again.
Awesome work with the clouds. I'm going to try that right now! Thank you!
So simple, and so striking!
Ooooh so spooky

I can’t imagine it would make too much of a noticeable difference but can I use burnt umber?
@@bornetocrywolf5965 I would say yes that should be fine to use burnt Amber because at that point you’re just playing with picture filters and it should work with itself
@@TheAcrylicAsylumwithMikeFerris thank you.
Amazing !! What's the music in the background ?
It’s an un copyrighted track from a free music site😁
If I wanted to put some kinda object/figure in my spooky painting, say a haunted house or ghost, along with these dark clouds, how would I go about that?
@@Mike_Larry41 great question! I would say draw out a general house shape or log cabin and make it proportionate to how big you want the trees to be in relation to it, and then I would use similar colors in the painting to show that it’s reflecting the color of the night and then put highlights that you use on the tree on just some of the house like on the trim of the roof and maybe a little spot here and there of some light zinging off it from the Moonlight and then I would put a little bit of brush around the house to settle it down in the picture making it look like it’s in the picture instead of on the picture. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have anything else and happy painting to you.😁
@TheAcrylicAsylumwithMikeFerris perfect! Thank you!
