Hi! I always watch your vids since I got my half beagle-half poodle puppy. Although he is mix, he always does what beagles do. Now, he is 1 year old. But it is still hard to train him, he always follow his nose, and always want to play. We always go for a walk every morning, but after 30 minutes, I can still see my house because of his constant sniffing. 😂😂 . But I still love him! Thanks for the tips and videos. More power!

A couple other bits of info I'd add:
1) because they're one of the loudest breeds, they are not ideal for apartment living
2) and because of their stubborn nature, they might not be ideal for first-time dog owners that aren't familiar with training techniques
3) though their coats are low-maintenence, like other hounds, they do get that "doggy odor," so if you don't like that, youll have to deodorize their coats every couple weeks.
4) they are pretty dependent on their owners, emotionally speaking, so they don't do well if you have to leave them alone for large stretches of time. My beagle never gets destructive or displays problematic behavior, but he does get super sad, and could even be described as depressed. So if you don't work from home, it would be best to put them in a doggy daycare where they can play with other dogs. They really thrive on social interaction.
I say all this due to choosing a beagle as my first dog. For the first couple years, it was a challenging experience to say the least. However, he ended up becoming a well-trained dog, and is incredibly sweet, cute, funny, and loving. (Hes my profile picture.)
what's it mean to "deodorize their coats"? does that mean to bathe them or is there another product/process to do that?

Where are you from. From where I am from, we can adopt one through animal shelters. But it is very rare that shelters here have beagles for adoption. I adopted mine from a friend who has a beagle and a poodle, I am lucky to have one of their babies.

Ugh 😣😫 I love dogs but learning beagles probably aren't my favorite..a friend keeps his beagle in his room when he's not home and omg they will cry for a month straight til you return..for someone who works overnight and comes home to sleep in the morning just to hear annoying howls and the stubbornness does not help.. probably for me the most stubborn breed I've met so far..time to move 😑
