I am a beagle owner myself and raising him was the toughest thing as there was hardly any beagle specific information on the internet. So I took it on me and decided to share all the knowledge that I learned the hard way. In my videos, I cover all kinds of topics related specifically to beagles. So make sure to subscribe to our channel as I upload 2 videos every week. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
I have basically a perfect beagle man. I got him when was a little pup & he’s now 11. He never chewed on anything! He used to be super hyper until maybe 9 years old bc he has achy bones but he’s still obsessed w adventure.
He never went though the garbage. Nothing would ever be messed up. I swear he’s actually half human.
He also would protect me & bark at strangers.
He is super particular w food and is the only dog I know that passes up on treats. He regulates his own body (that’s what my vet said).
He also has so many hobbies, hiding toys over and over again, play w laser lights, playing w friends at the park, sniffing for random things, finding stuff that I hide, he also plays by himself and throws squeaker toys in the air & catch them when they fall and it’s just so freaking cute.
He’s my soulmate and he’s 11 now, I wish he could live as long as I do, so we can be together forever. :(
However….
My beagle girl never needed to be leashed. My boy would pull the leash from my hands & id have to go under bushes to chase him & my girl would just walk home by herself or sit down and wait for me to catch him. She was such a great girl. She passed away 2/9/22, r.i.p. my sweet freckles. You were such a good girl.
I love my little snoopys and have huge soft spots for the beagles. ❤️
I remember how much of a little chew monster my family's Beagle was when he was a puppy. He's 14 now, and really healthy and active. :)
I'm a very proud beagle father, I have two beagles here with me at home my mother and father have another Beagle my wife's mother and father have a beagle and other people in my wives family have beagles we are all a bunch of beagle people.
I guess for anyone that is considering getting a beagle understand that they are incredibly emotional dogs they are super energetic and if you left them in a room full of food they would either literally explode or starve to death and that's because A: they ate too much food and then literally blew up or they ate all the food and they starved to death.
Personally my beagles are like garbage disposals they'll pretty much eat anything and I have to be extra cautious on what I leave on the countertop because I don't want them to eat something that could be harmful to them
I do love beagles. I had one as a kid who was quite protective of me. It's true they may not be guard dogs but this one always let us know when someone was coming.
Thank you. I have a part beagle and he has most of the good and bad lol. I love my Clint boy!
Love your channel!
Excellent Beagle videos.
My beagle does all these things you mentioned. Still, the most loving and loyal and fun dog ever!
TYFS - 🙏🏻 I really appreciate all of your honesty & tips! Have a great day 😃!
Picked a Beagle for my next service dog, a little worried about my choice however...But I have nothing but time and patience. We'll get through everything together ❤. Picking her up this Saturday, super excited.
Congratulations and Best of luck! Would like to hear more about how it goes.
Best of luck!
But if I may ask, why did you choose a Beagle/a hound breed? Do you like the breed/have owned it before?
I dont wanna criticize you since you probably know best, but I'd like to hear a perspective against the usual ones that I gathered.
After owning a Beagle, I couldnt imagine ever owning any of the more easily trainable breeds.
And mine is actually quite a serious one when he is working (not as a service dog), but he simply demands to be able to sniff, which would make him unsuitable. But for short periods of time and enough treats, he is really focused.
My beagles are Beeno and Snoopy. I love them very much. They died of old age more than 20years ago. I still can feel them like it was yesterday.
I have a beagle 💜❤️🦋
I love your help you send from your UA-cam channel ❤️
Your chanel about beagle facts and other stuff has helped me so much
Your video has helped me with my CHeagel. I feel like I have a full beagel. Every you said was accurate!
lmao I've been training my beagle how to walk beside me for the past 5 years and they still don't know how 🕴
Sounds about right. We are either pulling our beagle or she is pulling us. (Truthfully, it's mostly us pulling her!)
Yep
Like my vet said
A beagle is a NOSE on four legs
My Beagle could walking off leash besides me even she's only 11 months old. She also barely bark and act like a cat in the house.
Maybe she is a wierd Beagle 😶
I don't walk my beagle. She walks me !
I think the only concern that I have regarding beagles is that if some burglar was to break into my house I would probably come home to the burglar sitting on my couch helping himself to a bowl of popcorn probably cuddling with my two beagles
My old beagle was like this,LOL and also a thing they didnt put up there, they are hyper to see little kids playing outside, they go crazy for kids
this was super helpful!
I need groot's daily routine. How much you feed him what he will do . please😉🐾lots of ❤ to beagle care from India🐾
Hi! Even I m a owner of a Beagle. His name is Max. I love yr videos
I loved my beagle, lots of character his worst habits were pulling TP out of the toilet after an incomplete flush, this gives a great solution to the age-old question of seat up or down of lid down always and getting any butter that wasn't pushed at least 6" back from the edge of the counter. My favorite breed is the Golden 2rd are the Brittany, Beagles probably 3rd. Buster my Beagle earned both his nick names of Butthead and Butters. Honorable mention for breed favs are Boxers Buster's friend growing up was a boxer and they had some good times.
My beagle Charlotte is pure beagle! Love her, love her breed. My border collie bandit was a great dog too. So smart! Two of the best breeds but yet completely opposite of each other
My dog sure isn't a very good guard, but she sure sounds the alarm when somebody comes by!
Yay
snoopy fights the red baron, grabs linus' blanket, kiss lucy giving her dog germs
Hi There
Thanks for your vedios. They are great.
We feed home cooked food for our 1 year old beagle. Can you advise on the amount we should feed to our dog please. Thanks
I 💟 beagles
My 13mo beagle is an absolute psychopath. She's 12lbs of absolute chaos, and i love her more than anything.
Haha thats sweet.
Very accurate. My wife sometimes does not like our beagle because she gets a lot of bruises from him jumping onto her. His name is Cloud. He's 16 months but still loves to play a lot. He cannot take any commands when I walk him. He will just sniff and sniff all the time even if his leash chokes him he does not mind. He will always get our dirty laundry and his favorite are dirty socks. But he is very friendly. He likes to meet new people and will ignore us if we have visitors. He will just follow around our visitors.
Honestly man if the dog was bruising my wife Id have it put down
@@whoblitzell well my wife has some kind of condition where she bruise easily. Even a simple headbump to her shin will bruise her easily.
I just got a beagle yesterday
Suggestion: Work hard at your training when they are a puppy, it will pay off big time in the long run. Beagles are VERY stubborn and you will get frustrated. I can't count how many dog beds Dori destroyed before she finally stopped. Our Beagle is still frustrating to walk because she wants to smell EVERYTHING! But she rarely barks or howls, doesn't beg while we eat our food, and stays off the furniture even when we aren't around. We were adamant about that too. If she got up on the furniture as a puppy, we said "OFF" and put her back on the floor. Also, I'd crate your beagle each night and when you go out. Our beagle is 6 and pretty well trained at this point. We can now leave her out of the crate if we leave the house and not return home to something damaged. She likes her crate at night. Beagles are also very loveable, friendly, loyal, and good with children. (Provided that they aren't trying to take their food away-bad idea!) Good luck and enjoy your new pooch!
Congrats! I have two and I am sure yours will be a bundle of joy, just like all beagles!!
train them every day. Play with them a lot and give them ample of exercise.
Congrats! You will have lots of fun
Congratulations and all the best. My Advice: Do not over feed. No Table Scraps. Train Every Day. Exercise Every Day.
My beagle chewed up a cellphone, ate my eyeglasses, destroyed my USB cord, destroyed diabetic shoes. She's rotten but I love her anyway.
Mine has a phone and my diabetic shoes to her credit so far.
❤
If you leave food on a counter and think we can't get to it, think again!
My beagle only listens to me off leash lol
On leash she does nothing but pull. Off leash she comes to attention at the first command, l think she just likes the knowledge of freedom
the only con is she loves us just too damn much and is just too damn cute and knows how to manipulate treats out of us at will
I’m a beagle fanatic. Had beagles since I was 5yrs old. I now have 3 beagles one female 2 males. They are wonderful dogs. They don’t do crazy well home alone so if your someone who is gone an has a empty house for more then 3 hrs a day don’t get a beagle. They are so smart. Mine knows let’s go outside an inside an come an stay an I can ask if he wants to hunt or drive or cuddle. They are smart dogs. Put the time into them and they will be great to you
Also my boy is off leash. When he gets far I go ahhh an he slows down. If he is on a scent an gets moving fast I say easy. If he has then sent good an starts to run it I tell him leave it an he will start heading my way. Still has the scent but will keep my extension enough to not track scents to the end
Also my boy duke will protect. He roars at new ppl. Beagles are friendly. But also they scenes threats. Some will cower an get cover behind human. But my boy even barks at the thunder and wants to go out to get it bc it scares his girlfriend. But when his girlfriend is asleep an Thunder starts he don’t care. Only if his girlfriend shows she is afraid
It does take some time to work with a Beagle. But now my Suzy Q doesnt barely bark unless someone knocks on the doors. She chewed up 1 tv remote but other than her toys its all she chewed on. Mind you i got her at 2 years old as a rescue so she was past some habits but far from trained. And now out of all the dogs i had (Corgi, Chihuahua, Maltese and Shepard mix) my Beagle is by far the most well trained. No I wouldn't let her off her leash while walking or anything. Dont know about any Beagle being able to do that.
But i was pretty nervous getting a Beagle. And now I wouldnt get any other dog.
Mines off leash, no probs!!!!
Your list is right on although our beagle is not a barker or a howler at all. She occasionally barks at a passer by, but that's rare. One thing you didn't mention is that beagles can be a bit smelly, especially if they express their anal glands. Definitely stubborn breed. Our beagle is 6 years old and we made a rule that we would NEVER feed her from the table. She generally leaves us alone while we eat or snack but if we turn our backs and walk away from food, all bets are off. She may sneak something if she thinks that she can get away with it! We discovered by accident that she fancies chip dip.
Hard disagree with #4 when it is said "they aren't courageous". The beagles I have known (while they wouldn't make good guard dogs overall for sure) never shy'd away from anything besides weird electronics and vacuum cleaners. They're courageous af
but yes i agree with basically everything else
So I um...noticed Groot still has his, uh, "root" there. Yall planning on studding him out?
My beagle doesn’t bark except when i leave her alone in the house and she doesn’t even want my attention she’s independent on her own
i have a beagle she is so cute
Hiiii its a request can u make beagle puppie and adult food diet
My favourite dog breed are Labrador and beagle
I am thi king of getting a beagel but watching this video I am rethinking if its correct decision as I am first time owner and have a small rented appartment .. I am looking for a dog which doesnt barks much please suggest n guide
Hi my name is Rohith I love your channel can you please make video on beagle price 🙏🏻🙏🏻
my beagle loves plastic bags, what do I do about it?
❤️❤️❤️I'm going to buy a beagle ❤️❤️❤️
If you don't have a lot of time or a family, please don't, they are the second hardest breed to train next to a foxhound
LOL. Biggest problem is the little scamps are smart.
Beagles are the absolute best, never had any other breed, never will, don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE dogs, but Beagles are special!
Even my beagle is of 2 yrs
We had a dachshund who died after fifteen years. We bought a beagle. He is seven months old and giving us tough time. Of so many breeds we have kept dachshund was the best.
We’ve been trying to train my dog (a beagle) for 3 months so far and little to no progress on potty training any tips?
Yep, do not use pads, period!!! Mine was crate trained, they won't soil their own space, got up during the night every time he cried and put him out, when he went he got a treat. Got my boy at 8 weeks, house trained by 10. Also watch behaviour, when they start sniffing and circling, out, after playtime, out, after bedtime out, after car journey, out, get the picture???
Same here.. Mine managed to pee outside during walks. Is her food scheduled? I was told to watch her pooping time and take her out before those times. U need to be "very" patient cause they will test your patience..
Beagles!
Mine put me in the hospital . Tripped in a hole when we were walking at night. Hole was hidden by over grown grass
Think that's bad? Mine ate a bag of heroin he found in a car park, now he eats, butt ends, petrol lighters, hats, gloves, poop bags etc. Bit my hubby to death till he was four, had two behaviourists, four puppy trainers and a mountain rescue guy to sort him, well, almost sort him!! Has cost a fortune, allergic to most foods, has stress related collitis, bleeds from back end if I leave him, has lipoma lumps and has had both his back legs pinned when he snapped his cruciate ligament s!!!! No, they r not easy, trust me, would I have another, if I was younger, Defo!!!!
@@nolavout9094 woah thats worse than not being able to walk for 3 weeks
That's totally untrue. Some Beagles do SOME of that but some don't. Usually the smart field lines are the more vocal ones that will not listen and run off with lots of energy. Show Beagles are much more accommodating. Selecting the right puppy is the key.
My beagle is a good guard dog actually. Would attack stranger coming near me.
Hi. I'm a beagle owner. 1,5 years. She does not bark at all. :D
All the beagles i've met never saw them bark. Unless they are running and playing with some other dogs.
So no. Beagles dont bark a lot. They have although a distinct bark, which is fun.
Well my Beagle and infact most of the beagles I know bark a lot. Not outside, but a lot indoors.
wish i had a mute one
I miss my beagle dog scout 😭🥺 scout if your reading this I miss u 😔
I have a 18 week old beagle mix. Mom was a beagle and the animal shelter had no idea what the dad was. Her ears are starting to rise and no droop Like a normal hound. Her tail is long and skinny with a white tip with a bend in it near her rear ended. She had long legs and a long trim body. Her colors are predominantly black, white and a little brown to make her tricolored like a beagle. Her energy level is off the chart but at 18 weeks she is 95% house broke. She is loving starting to pay attention to commands and get along pretty good with her brother who is a chihuahua and she has taken the submissive pose with him. She has long legs and a long body, anyone have any idea what her dad might have been. I have heard pit bull, Doberman but it’s all just guesses. I don’t really care as we love her and won’t waste money for genetic testing. From what I have heard Cloe has a very high intelligent level, learns easily and loves everyone she comes in contact with. What is she?
She is not eating proper.. we try to give her food trice in a day.. but feedback only one time.. after force tasting food.. also not drinking water .. regularly.. pls help
#9 beagles will become your fav breed
😉

You number 4 is incredibly true! Beagle is the worst guard dog ever. My Beagle is so quiet, even the most quiet than all my nearby neighborhood's dogs. She never barked towards strangers and will greet all guests happily with a propeller wagging tail 🤦♀️

This video is a form of stereotype. Sad that it is taken to dogs . Perhaps apply to the humans who create this mess in the first place.
Can’t stand beagles
Whaaaat! WHY?
