This was such a good cozy video. I think I love unhauls more than hauls 😅
Hahaha - I agree, unhauls are very fun!😂
@@ciarascorner indeed also Unhauls are more authentic I guess 😂
Ciara I would honestly listen to a podcast of you and your boyfriend talking about books because you two are the CUTEST together!!!!
Aww thanks Lexi - I think we’d have a great time just chatting about books in a podcast ahah!
I would 100% listen to that
She looks a lot like Rory Gilmore! you’re so beautiful!!!❤️
That shelf is so sturdy carrying SO MANY TOMES 😭 I love it
Hahaha you’re so right! That shelf is our trusty & noble steed, never lets us down😂
There's something about this video that I find really soothing. I have no idea what it is, but I must've watched this whole video at least 5 times now.
Aww thank you so much for watching!!
And here I am with 7 copies of Pride and Prejudice of my own. Feel a little attacked 😂
Hahaha I honestly didn’t realise how many copies I had😂
You are such an adorable couple. I know everyone has some bad days too but the way you talk to each other when discussing the books is wonderful. Enjoy your move :)
Aww thanks so much - we had a fun time sorting through all of the books!
I never know whether to keep books that I loved but know I’ll never read again. It’s so tricky because it’s like “why would I get rid of a book I really enjoyed” but then “why would I keep a book I’ll never pick up again”. The struggle😩😂
It’s such a major struggle😂
It's so hard to let go of a book I loved! What helps me to do it when I know I won't read it again (mainly mystery or thriller, or it was a great light hearted story but no real meaning) is the thought that by sending it to a second hand bookshop, someone else will discover it and love it like I did.
Wow, that was a HUGE unhaul! You both are strong! :)
I couldn't hide a little smile every time you two talked about the books. I think it's so cute and nice for a couple to have a hobby together and share their opinions- and when this hobby is reading and books, oh my God, magic!!
Send you the best wishes for the packing!! Be strong and if you can, have fun with the process :)
Hahaha we had to be strong to get rid of all the books we don’t need! And aww thank you so much!
I was shocked , when I saw the German copy of Harry Potter lmao. As a German who mostly watches English UA-cam videos, it always excites me to see German copy‘s in videos hahaha🤗🥰
This is so satisfying, thank you for not speeding it up - I love it in real time!
Jay has great taste for a new reader
He really does!
Your little bits of german while talking about getting rid of the german version of Harry Potter is just so cute.
I'm sure your german is very good, but reading HP in another language is pretty much a test.
Aww thank you ahah! My German used to be better when I was going to classes and practicing regularly, definitely a bit out of practice now so the Harry Potter was a bit out of my league ahahah!
I wish I could be there, to rescue those books. Please don't get rid of the HP. Collecting those books in different languages is a big thing now. I want the Slovakian set, when I can afford them.
I remember reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone in English as my first ever non-German book 🤣 Harry Potter seems prone to getting people into other languages
Your back and forth commentary was so cute! ☺️
Hahah aw thanks!
Currently reading A Little Life and this video is the perfect thing to take my mind off of it for a bit. Thank you for your incredible videos! I love absolutely everything you upload!
Aw thank you for this lovely comment - I hope you enjoy your reading break!
I absolutely loved this 🥰 so cute and cosy and entertaining as always! You’re such a comfort Booktuber to me ✨
I really need to do something like this with my ridiculous TBR
Hahahah it’s a lot of work but worth it!
Yesss! I've been binge watching unhauls all week and you are one of my favourite 'booktubers' so this is perfect!!
Aww yay! What perfect timing - thanks for watching!!💕
Jay seems to be drawn to books with red and black covers. I love it! 😄
Red and black is the superior color combo and you can’t convince me otherwise
I really hope you both get bought more bookshelves for your new home (I mean clearly Pride and Prejudice needs its own shelf! I 😂)
Would love a video of book unpacking!
you have the most beautiful editions ever!
Why they make me remember so much of rory and logan from gilmore girls ? 😂
I wish my motivation for studying was as strong as this bookshelves seems to be. 👍🏼😅 Great video for sure. :)
Omg, that German sounded so good!
I’ve been in a reading slump this week and this video is amazing motivation for me to sort through my books and reinvent my reading passion!💚
I hope your reading slump doesn’t last long! Sorting through books is a great way to get reinspired - I found so many books I’d forgotten about!
Oh no 50:10 😂😂😂😂
Edit: 51:37 the dust makes this feel like a dream sequence i love it ahaha
Hahahaha ooops😂😂 and omg by the end there was so much dust ahaha - I love that description!
Your videos always give me cozy vibes! I’m always glad to gain more recommendations from you! ❤️ I can’t wait to see your new place! The banter between you and Jay in this video was wonderful! 😂
I'm so glad i found her channel, she's such nice company. Wish her the absolute best! 💘
That Catcher in the Rye copy is 70 years old 😱 Amazed by how that particular paperback lasted and still going strong 💪🏽 Definitely a keeper!
I know! It’s so cool!!
Ciaraaaa you are my new favourite booktuber!!!
Aww thank you so so much!
I really enjoy the video and I'm looking forward to watching the new bookshelf organization :)
Thank you! I’m super excited to organise new shelves!
Yaaaay a new video!! My day just got 10 times better!!
This comment made my day 10 times better!
There is no such thing as too many books! LOL!
Omg the goldfinch is my favorite book of all time I hope you love it!!!!
I’m so excited to read it!
This video just showed up randomly and I actually loved watching it till the end !! Definitely will be subscribing to your channel
Thanks so much - glad you enjoyed!
probably my favourite unhaul I've ever seen 💕
Thanks so much for watching💕
This video was adorable. Looking forward to the organisation video. Stay safe both of you.
Thanks so much!
Is it just me or does she look soooo much like Rory Gilmore?! I love it!!!!
I am always SO envious of how much prettier the UK covers are of books than the US covers. I suggest you prioritize the 2 Morganstern books - you will love them both.
The Night Circus was one I read and loved last year so I’m super excited for The Starless Sea!
The energy when you guys are together is just sooo fun and cute haha. Love these vids!
I‘ve watched this video over the past few days when I got ready for bed each day and what can I say? so cozy and now I’m sad that it’s over hahah
Yes, but The Phantom of the Opera as a musical though-THAT’S the real masterpiece. The music is simply stunning & there’s a reason why it’s almost the one that’s been played the longest out of all the shows ever in West End, trust me on this one (if you ever get to watch a musical in London and want to give it a try, I highly highly recommend it!)
this video just reminded me that I need to dust my bookshelf 🥴😂😂 also, I just started watching this but I’m already so excited for this video ah!! love these kind of videos & I love that it’s so long too 😌
Hahahaha the amount of dust I must have inhaled in this video😂😂😂
@@ciarascorner LOL maybe we should wear masks 😂😂
😂😂😂 funnily enough I do have an abundance of masks right now😅
I absolutely love this kind of video, so cosy. I rarely watch videos that are over 25 minutes the whole way through, but you manage to capture me every time! Also your boyfriend gives me Tom Holland vibes! You’re both so cute together and can’t wait for the videos in the new house ✨
Hahaha omg thanks for watching the whole video - it’s basically a feature length film😂 and aw thank you ahah! I’ll pass on that celeb lookalike to Jay☺️
This was so fun and refreshing to watch! It really motivated me to do a spring clean of my books as well 🥰 also, I adore you two!
I hope you enjoy your spring clean too!
Such a fun video! I love seeing what people have on their shelves
This video was so lovely to watch 🤍💫!
Aw thanks so much!
I had a lot of fun watching and feel very cleansed! Love your Ruthlesness and that you have kept several copies of your favourites as favourites are favourites and several copies is perfectly acceptable!
Will def keep an eye on Instagram love rehouse to rehome a book, especially V E Schwabb' s vicious as it is on my wish list!
I loooooved this! Thanks for taking us along, love your channel!
Aww thanks so much!
Best video I've watched in a long time. Congratulations on your new home💗 This has made me realise that I also need to unhaul some books x
Aww thanks so much Sharnie!💕
You inspired me to unhaul 5 books, including the Hunger Games series. 🙏🏻 Pride & Prejudice is my favorite book ever - my husband got me a beautiful book which is a collection of all of Jane Austen’s completed novels but I insist on keeping my ugly original copy of P & P since it was the copy I first read. 🤷♀️
Oooh yay for an unhaul! And I totally support keeping all of the copies of your favourite ever book!
Thank you for doing this long video!! It was so nice and relaxing to just sit and watch you two sort through your book collection. I love your accent BTW
in defense of Jay picking out Stolen for you for your birthday, I think you actually would like it!! from what I remember it was very different from what I expected from the synopsis, and incredibly beautifully written. I read it years and years ago but I still remember the stunning descriptions of the Australian outback, and how deeply affected I was by the complicated exploration of Stockholm Syndrome. I would love to hear your thoughts if you ever do read it! ☺️💜
Ooh that does sound interesting - I’ve actually passed it on to Jay’s younger sister as I think she’ll like it, but I may still read it in future!
I enjoyed this video way too much
Hahah I’m so glad!
LOVED this video!! 😍
This was so fun to watch! I love watching people organise or unhauling books, so next I’m going to watch the bookshelf organisation vid. And your videos are always very nice and comfy
As a Spaniard, I can assure you that the Pyrenees are the mountains between Spain and France and I’m looking forward for when Jay will read Don Quijote, in Spain unfortunately lots of young people hate it but it’s really funny and is considered the greatest spanish novel
This was such an entertaining video! I love a cheeky speedrun 😁
Hahah so glad you enjoyed!
Looking forward to hearing your review of On The Road, a formative book of my possibly misspent youth. Again, congrats on the new place - many happy times together.
Thank you! Definitely looking forward to reading it!
The Count of Montecristo is truly a MASTERPIECE! Do read it, it is AMAZING. I've read it twice already and I love it so much! ♡
It is a lot of work to organize books. My mom and I recently re-organized our shelves and we used 3 full days of work to do it because we have almost 3000 books! It was fun but I ended up exhausted and my hands still hurt from picking piles of books up, LOL.
Good luck with the move! I'll be looking forward to more videos and vlogs about your new adventure, guys! :)
I think Jay will really enjoy it! And oh my god, that is a LOT of books!! And thank you!!
33:48 omg y'all are so cute i might cry *reports*
Hahaha thank you!
Loved the unhaul video. I am looking forward to your new bookshelf in your new home😊
I’m so excited for my new bookshelves!
Good to see you are a Slytherin too
💚
The House on the Strand is phenomenal. I highly recommend it.
Very excited to read it!
ahhh I love this! also I'm incredibly happy for you 💚💚
Aww thanks so much Mary!!☺️💕
i really enjoy your long book videos!
Thank you for watching! I’m so glad you enjoy them!💕
Absolutely loved this video!! Was so much fun watching you and jay do this! Congrats on the new place, happy moving! Would love to see more moving content 🥰♥️
You know I have actually never gotten rid of a book cause for some reason I have always imagined that one day I will have kids that will enjoy reading those teen fictions that i have outgrown.. hope it happens otherwise i’m keeping these for no reason :)
Oh wow, I’d definitely keep more books if I had more space but unfortunately just not possible!
@@ciarascorner and it’s totally understandable, to be honest I don’t have as many books as you either so i’m not running out of space yet. Maybe one when when I do catch up my mindset will be different as well haha
This was an amazing unhaul! :)
I would say that Crescent City by Sarah J Mass is my favorite by her! I really enjoyed it and she talked about mental health amid a tragedy in the story which I really enjoyed seeing. It is probably out of your usual realm of genres but I hope you enjoy it!
Oooh interesting - I hope I enjoy it!
I really enjoyed the book as well like I’m not a huge mystery person but it was so good
I loved normal people !!!! Great show too 🥰
Love this! It was a two cup of coffee type of video lol
You remind me of Rory soooooo muchh
This was such a fun video! Good luck moving x
Thanks so much!
Awwww i thought I was just going to clean up while I listened to the video, but it's so exciting that I got caught up in it. The video is very nice and I was interested to hear your thoughts about dystopia and utopia
Thank you for video ❤️
Aww thanks so much for watching!💕
Happy moving! Enjoy your new house and kitchen. I am Vegan and have found so many great recipes on line, but I am a cookbook junky, and therefore have quite a few of them as well!
Sense and Sensibility is my favorite Austen. So sad it doesn't get as much love as Pride and Prejudice.
Mine is Persuasion ♥️
I feel like I need to pick up and read some classics after reading this. I've read so very few.
Loved watching this!!
Hope you and jay have a good move!
Aww thanks so much!
I love watching you two together, you have such a positive fun vibe :))
💡What do you think about doing a read-along for "on the road"? I think it's stuck on a lot of people's tbr shelf but it's kind of an intimidating book in my opinion...
Aww thank you! And ooh that’s actually a really great idea!
I would love to have that vintage collection!!!
Dein Deutsch klingt doch super! ;) Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland. I'm in awe of how easily you can get rid of books - I'm always so hesitant to throw out books, unfortunately.
A few years ago, I went through a phase of unhauling and donating books. I regret it now, when I think of all the money I spent on new books, and now they're gone. I still have many many books, and I won't make that mistake again.
You have so many beautiful classics books! Your copy of Little Women and Emma - major book envy!
So sorry guys I have to disagree on books sizes I love that they come in different sizes! Generally yes a series I love it to match, but a collection of the author I love the array of sizes and styles, but I am inwardly concerned about how precariously hidden half your book collection was 😂😂😂
That's what I love about book tube, seeing how different people's boats float.
Hahah, I feel like my limited space has made me like uniform sized books more😂 to clarify, those shelves didn’t float my boat, they were a horrifying product of convenience and I’m very excited to have more space hahah😂😂😂
@@ciarascorner I really hope your new place gives you the shelves you need to "spark joy"
That was a great video! Really enjoyed it! Liebe Grüße aus Wien
Aw thank you - I’m so glad you enjoyed!!
Oh my gosh, so happy you decided to keep City of God, phew! Was stressing there for a sec aha! Great video as always, Ciara!
That's an insane amount of unhaul books!! Jay was really struggling in the middle lol. It seems like Jay really likes American Westerns. Has he read the Lonesome Dove series by Larry McMurtry?
Hahaha I know! It was a lot😂 I definitely don’t think Jay has read that series - would you recommend it?
@@ciarascorner I would 100% recommend it. There was a mini series that aired back in the 1990s by Hallmark. It starred Robert Duvall among many other stars of the decade. I highly recommend that show as well. Let me know if you can't find it over there.
I think you will enjoy With the Fire on High (and it's a quick read.) Enjoyed the tour of your collection (I am a Bibliographer, hahahaha always sounds so Victorian.)
I’m very excited to read it! And hahaha bibliographer is such a fun word to say!
Born to Run is really good! Also loved this video.
Loved this video! It's so nice to see someone else purge books! I was surprised to see that you didn't have either The Stand, or Tommyknockers by Stephen King on your bookcases.
Yay a new video!
Ps: I just finished The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler it was sweet, funny and informative!
Glad you enjoyed!
33:39 you guys I can't
Hi Ciara. I'm very late to the party but this video just popped into my feed. If you haven't already read it, please check the content warnings for Flowers in the Attic prior to reading. 🥀
I will likely move by the end of the year myself and was just thinking today how much stuff I own (especially books) and decided to unhaul some, so this couldn't have come at a better time really :D
You two are such a lovely couple! I think you should keep The Way of Kings instead of The Name of the Wind if you choose to read just one big fantasy series... but that's just my opinion
Ooh interesting - honestly they both scare me a lot😂
I am not a fantasy reader, but I loved The Name of the Wind!
If you are not into fantasy but want to try Sanderson, I recommend The Final Empire or Warbreaker as Stormlight series is very epic. I love Way of Kings, but it is a slow burn detailed introduction to this series, the pay off is incredible, but if fantasy scares you I would not start with it.
Oh my gosh I’m looking for a copy of the bhagava Gita in English. You give me hope that I’ll find one 😄
This is me, hitting you up about those books
😂 which ones?
@@ciarascorner the cruel prince series and a couple others, is there a specific time you are going to post the pictures on Instagram?
I did already do Instagram stories to advertise them - but the cruel prince is still available - you can message me about the specific ones you were interested in!
@@ciarascorner ok, thank you!
@@ciarascorner i wasn't sure where to message you so I sent you a message on ig
Oh man I'd definitely like some of these books .. are any still available for me to get?
Animal farm is a classic
I felt so excited seeing I had some books that you have read!! Even if you did get rid of V E Schwab books 😭😭 definitely be keeping an eye out on the Instagram story for a few of the ones you don't want to keep.
uno dos tres cinco? cuatro? hahaha it was so funny to watch that as a spanish
Hahahha we really struggled😂
