    Yo CK just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your tutorials and helping the newbies out with getting into wrapping for a profession or just a few little DIY jobs on their vehicle.
    You're a mad man, Thanks.

    Christopher.... I just wanted to thank you for your videos!! Brother, you have definitely inspired me! I doubt I will ever wrap professionally, but I am starting a UA-cam Channel to show people that they can make their car into something to be proud of, regardless of the cost of the vehicle. I own a 2017 1/2 Dodge Hellcat and am so tired of hearing people say, "I wish I could afford a car that looks as good as that. Kids these days think that they cant do anything if they weren't born with the skill. Skill is NOT something you are born with; it is something you learn along life's path. Motivation, determination, and drive are things you are born with. Granted, there are child prodigies, etc. However, mist people are not like that. I bought a $600 2003 Toyota Celica GT (with the 1.8L 1ZZ-FE power plant pushing 140HP at the Flywheel). I am filming videos on building the car by myself. I am planning on adding a Lamborghini Body Kit, Lamborghini tilt doors, a great audio system, tinting the windows, adding an insanely large rear wing, painting the front calipers (going gloss black to match the interior....I know I will take flack from people because I didn't go with Red), new digital dash cluster, painting the rims (also going to wrap the spokes to match the body....there is a reason I am painting the rims), wrapping the body in a satin or flat Vvivid Nardo Grey with Vvivid Gloss Carbon Fiber trim and accents, and wrapping the center console in the same Carbon Fiber (unless you have a better suggestion then Vvivid for the interior). The car is currently Canary Yellow, so I know I have my work cut out; as far as total coverage (I pay close attention to every video you make). I want kids and adults to see that any skill can be learned, if you have the desire and motivation. I have set a $300 per month spending allowance, as I figure most kids can afford to save that each month to put into their car! I have learned so much from you! I know you are in Canada, but I would love to come up and interview you for my Channel and Vlog. I was thinking of wrapping the car in Rose Gold Chrome, but with the cost, and issues using Chrome I decided that the Grey would look good and help me stay in my budget. I am also going to do all the work in small enough stages that the car can be used as a daily driver (I actually gave my Hellcat to a fellow Marine I served with in Afghanistan and Iraq....that way, I have no choice but to drive this Celica GT....it even has 214,378 miles on the Odometer, but runs like a champ and doesn't leak a drop. I have a few questions for you, but don't want to put them here, so I will send you an Email soon. It will be from Randygriner@gmail.com and have 2003 Celica GT in the subject field. Keep up the great instructional videos! I'll send that Email soon! Sorry this is so long! I also hope your Father is doing as good as possible. I lost my father to brain Cancer in 1996, so I know what you are going through...My regret is that I didn't spend as much time as possible with him before he passed. I was deployed and it wasn't possible. I was granted Hardship leave and got to spend the last 2 weeks of his life with him and my Mother. I was his sole caregiver during that time, and was able to present him with a 1969 VW Beetle I completely customized. He loved that car!! To me it was just a project, so I gave it to him, and he rode in it 5 times before the end. My advice is to NOT have the regret of not spending enough time with him, like me. I still feel guilty! Anyways, I will get that Email to you as soon as I can! Thanks brother!

    Definitely prefer these tints over wet application. However, headlights have been giving me issues with bubbling all over the place. Even on the flattest part of the lights. After chatting with Vivid, their tech apparently said they don't recommend tinting headlights with projectors (even though it has happened with halogen bulbs) because the bulb sitting so close to the housing. Not sure if you've run into this problem before.

    • @CKWraps

      Mine are projectors and I've done all kinds and haven't had issues yet. Not sure why yours is having issues

    • @manocoulin1845
      @manocoulin1845 6 років тому

      Ya I'm not sure why either. Tail lights are no issue. Just the headlights giving me problems. Have had 5 difference customers with the same issue.

      Well, it depends on many factors. Outgassing from the plastic lenses being heated does happen. Certain manufacturers use a certain type of lense that will gas when heated to certain temperatures. Another common issue is micro fractures in the lense. When the headlight is heated, it does pressurize and force air through these micro fractures in the plastic. Last but not least, the most common issue is usually poor installation with air still left behind the film. Especially on headlights, it is crucial to get as much air out as possible since headlights do heat up quite a bit and will expand remaining air.

      @manocoulin1845 6 років тому

      I'll try installing them on headlights again but I post heat everything and make sure there is no air behind. I'll double check my efforts though.

    I already sent you pictures of the VF, but I'm considering going for something different yet again soon. Will probably tint the lights this time too so I'll definitely give this a go.

    i noticed the vvivid head light tint especially the lighter one looks very purple i didn't like it thats why i stopped using it also the finish was bit dull i wish they can improve it, i prefer the hexis luxtac the colour much better and the finish is better BUT its water application its the only draw back thats why i tried vvivid after watching your videos can you speak to them about this im based in uk hard to communicate from here, no im back to using hexis over vvivid,

    nice car!. I am not sure about doing my taillights because I don't want the hassle of being pulled over. I just had my taillight deck (top) blacked out to match the spoiler (2018 civic hatch). Had the chrome blacked out, but the quality of the job isn't there, and not completely happy with it.

    Great film as far as finish and apply-ability, but when I removed my vivid tint after almost 2 years... its left a layer of glue behind. Although it came off with alcohol and some elbow grease.

    Hey CK.... have you had any problems with this film bubbling from the heat of a projector headlight? I’ve done the headlights on my Escalade twice and needs to be redone because it keeps getting a big air bubble in the area of the projector.

    Hi Christian,
    Have a question for you. When using a heat gun on a roof wrap have you ever had any issues with the roof warping almost like it was hit with a hammer? If so any suggestions on how to fix it?

    • @CKWraps

    I wanna try this, however I get pulled over all the time just cuz my 300 is camo on 22's and in Texas where anyone who drives a nice car is automatically suspected of a drug dealer lol I may try it anyways it looks sick on your car! We shall see.... love the car black btw
