You came a long way dude. I watched your earlier videos where you used to wrap cars outside on your front driveway and now your here wrapping expensive whips in an industrial garage. Good work my dude.
Thankyou thankyou thankyou bro. Ive been watching alot of your videos, to learn better techniques, and i love your work. Ive only did wraps as a hobby but the past few months, ive learned hell of alot more tricks. And im now getting paid for my work, and setting up my own work station. Thanks for your vids, and tutorials
I was researching on how to wrap cars to add to my tee shirt business and I came across this dude I subscribed and I’ve been hooked this guy is dope, keep up the good work 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I greatly appreciate the way you did this video. I have a telluride nightfall with faded trim. I’m handy which is good for me because on a budget for things like this. I also appreciate the links to materials on amazon.
You da man! Keep up the awesome work! Also, there may be a lot of roof wrap videos already but I think many of us would agree that a roof wrap video from you especially around an antenna/ shark fin would be awesome. Your videos are top notch
I did a chrome delete on my grill trim, and on all my window trims. Looks professionally done too! Definitely didn’t take me a longer than a hour and a half though. Could’ve been faster but it’s my first time doing it. I personally think it’s not worth paying over $100 or $200 or even way way way more! to get it done at a vinyl/Tint shop. DIY! People! Save you money and you learned something new.
@@Dreamingbigent if you still wanna do it and don't care about some seam lines, use blackout tape. Buy multiple rolls tho cuz 2 whole rolls weren't enough for the windows on my 2017 TLX. Looks pretty damn good tho
Love it! "Why do all the easy stuff and then get to the tough stuff and f--make a mistake" haha I appreciate your professional AND your day-to-day speech, man! heehee! Great video! Thanks!
I’m about to do my b7 rs4 saloon as the aluminium trims have gone milky and there’s no way of cleaning it off. The trims are a huge job to remove and replace so I figured I will wrap them. Colour wise I’m doing it in Matt silver to keep the car standard looking as mirrors, radiator grill and wheels are all Matt silver. Thanks for posting such a helpful guide. Hopefully mine will look as neat as the job you’ve done on the Mercedes. Cheers
As a beginner, I found that it's worth it to cut the film following the general curve of the trim to eliminate relief cuts and alleviate the tension from stretching a straight piece.
DellGaming TV I used chinese wrap, bought it in AliExpress. Looks good, let’s see how long it lasts. I wrapped the grill and all the chrome parts about 2 months ago and it looks awesome!
Trim seems so easy but I found out it is realllly tricky. I redid mine 3 times cuz your right any little movement with blade you have chrome showing. Even a tiny sliver of chrome stands out like BOOM! Definitely a pro knocking these out first go round and look flawless like usual.
Awesome I need to do that on my car, old one is faded and cracking off, plus I'm about to repaint and clear coat it so this would set it off nicely. Thanks so much for this vid and where I can find this stuff, I was wondering how I was going to cover my chrome trim. Nice job !
Love watching your channel and it gave me the confidence to do the trim delete myself! However, after doing the trim delete in gloss black Avery film I find that the areas that tuck under the trim or where you would stretch it at the ends to get a clean finish eventually peel back a little and I'm finding myself going over tucking it under before i go for a drive. I prep'd the surface and cleaned it with prepsol and starting to think that because I applied it when it was only 10 deg. Celsius the adhesive has not taken to the aluminium trim....or maybe it the design of the trim? For reference it's an Audi A6 avant.
Cheers bud a good informative video, 👍 I have done a car previously which looked good but knew it could be better so thanks 🙏 for the tutorial, 🤔interesting to see very little use of the heat gun, which I will definitely take note of this time round 😀👍
Have you had to wrap any Honda CRV exterior B pillars from fading? They call it sash tape. I was looking for a video on b pilllar removal and found your vid on lower door seals. The vids are great. Looks great/ I took my Subaru to a shop today in Cincy, all I have is the bottom window trim on chrome the rest is already black. I was thinking they’d say about 150-200, they said 550-700$!!😱 Prob take a pro about 30-40 mins.. needless to say I’m going to try this myself.
Any chance you can tell me which line of Avery you prefer for this ? The 500, 700 or 800 series ? I'm guessing either the 500 or 700 series since you said you prefer it thin ? Or do you use the cast series ?
Hi Chris,I have a 2018 civic hatch (white). What would you recommend if I wanted to "white out" the civic badge on the rear? I see lots of people black them out, but haven't seen any "white out".Thanks
ducebigalow hey, I'm not Chris, but I would recommend to try plasti dip on the emblems. It's an easy job and with the proper masking and spraying technique will turn out good. When applied properly will last for quite some time. But all white sounds like a cool idea! Hope this helps a little!
Hi Christian, can you give me some advice on how to wrap a front bumper of a Pontiac Fiero GT 87. Do you have wrapping videos in old cars? Like Camaro's, Firebird's, Trans Am's etc. I am a big fan from Baja California, México.
I want to be as good as you. nice & clean, well done. I did this on my Toyota Rav 4 and I realize it is so difficult to find the proper link to cut. And I end up cutting my rubber. T T
Hey Christian. Huge fan. I have a question. Does most gloss wrap have an orange peel effect? I bought black rose from 3m and in my opinion, it looks like garbage. The orange peel is so significant I could probably get better results with a rattle can. Thanks for your time. Anyone else have input on this?
I'm fixing my car up, and wanting to do this to my 2008 Honda Accord. Would you suggest doing this before or after I send it to the body shop to get repainted?
I have an Audi s5. Just took a look. I see the rubber seal on the top chrome is on top and bottom. So just gotta get blade in between rubber and trim, right. Looks like you have to wedge your blade in between the seal, because it’s pretty tight on the top seal. Also, On bottom trim, little easier. There’s no rubber seal on the bottom part of the bottom chrome trim. Bonus, the mirror is not in the way, it’s actually about 6 inches away from the corner of where most mirrors are, there actually a black plastic plate on that little corner, so I can do that part without removing mirror. Only fear is cutting the seal by mistake. But I’m might try it if I can’t find someone to do this job under $125. It it wasn’t such a nice car, I would just go for it, without being nervous lol
How well does this wrap hold up to hot weather? We live in a desert like climate and I'm worried that it will peel. And if it starts to peel can it be removed without damaging the chrome if it has been exposed to 100°+ heat?
Hey there Buddy, I little question here, my Audi has rubber window trim, hence it's a boring rubber color and I'm looking for that clean Gloss finish. I was wondering, is it possible to wrap window rubber trim? by prepping the surface properly and all that. Thanks bud!
Well done mate, I am going to order all of stuff and try with what I learned from your videos, I am very appreciate that. Just a question, why do we need the marking tape around?
Is that referred as a seal between the mirror and the window ? I had took off my whole seal just to tuck better but I can get the seal that goes in between my window and mirror to go back down the rail
I am looking to delete chrome bumpers on my truck, however it has a dent on the front side how would i tackle that area ? Love your channel man! Your awesome and great mindset and attitude! Keep it up
it "looks" easy, but im sure it is not, but im gonna try and do it. I was wondering about the tape though. The Vvivid stuff doesn't have great reviews on Amazon. Should you run the heat gun over this after it is cut and tucked to activate the glue, or is it ok just sticking and only using heat where necessary?
To add to this. If you ONLY have a butane torch with no wired heat gun, will that work as well? Provided you don't set it ablaze of course. Lol
