    Would you do this workout on the day before a long and hard workout which is part of marathon training?

      Hi Millen. Sorry to take so long to reply. Certainly, the Sprint session needs a few days' recovery before a long run!

    So annoying ... I've had the sprint session come up on my suggested workouts leading up to my half marathons several times this year and then it disappears ... My next race is July 20 yet it's put me into an early taper phase on the 11th ... It's still had me do 2 anaerobic 50 min sessions and has a tempo lined up but I was looking forward to the sprint drill.

    Hi John, what was your heart rate in % during the recovery run after sprint? Should I keep my heart rate above 75% during the 3 min recovery run??

      To be honest, I think it is very hard to get the heart rate down sufficiently between intervals but isn’t a bad ball park figure to aim for
