- Ogata Megumi was born June 6, 1965 in Tokyo, Japan. She is a voice actress (seiyuu), actress currently affiliated with Neverland Arts.
Also a singer going by the stage name em:ou.
Megumi started out as a musical actress. She attended the same classes as Kasahara Rumi and the late Niiyama Shiho. She used to be affiliated with Aoni Production, Space Craft Produce, Holy Peak and JTB Entertainment.
Because of her husky voice, she is often typecast as either young men and boys or tomboyish females (a famous example of this being Sailor Uranus, a popular character from Sailor Moon known for being a charming tomboy in her civilian form). It is also because of this that she is sometimes referred as "Aniki" ("Big brother" in Japanese, usually used in gangs) by fans.

My all time favourite seiyuu, she has such an incredible level of range. After I heard her as Kumagawa Misogi (one of her best role/performance in my opinion along with Shinji), I couldn't help but thinking of her voicing Hanako while reading the brand new discovered scans last year.
How do you think I reacted when I saw who was casted for that role when the anime was aired few months ago?
Surely you reacted in a surprised and then madly happy way when you heard it in the anime. Because when listening to Hanako you said to yourself I know that voice, where I have seen it. I'm not the only one who reacted like this, they chose very well for Hanako's voice.
