As a cancer survivor I hope he's one of us lucky ones that survived. It's a battle that no one should have to endure & it's not just a battle for that person but for every person that loves them. I've lost to many to cancer. For those still fighting - fight the good battle.
I never knew Trooper was a Canadian band? Far out, Canadian's gave us a lot of great bands like The Guess Who, Lighthouse, Rush, Gordon Lightfoot, The Cooper Brothers, James Leroy just to name a few, I'd be proud to be Canadian too man, your country isn't as corrupt as America!
This was great, thanks, I have been researching "best dating apps for relationships" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Senadison Foremost Scheme - (do a search on google ) ? It is a smashing one off guide for discovering how to make any woman melt in your hands and love you without the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my m8 got excellent results with it.
This song was played at a relative's wedding, last year. EVERYONE was on the dance floor. From Nanaimo, to Calgary, Edmonton, Sault Ste. Marie,Kenora, Toronto, and all points in between.... We ALL knew that song!! Good times!!
Before Trooper got really popular my dad worked with a dude on Cypress Mountain in Vancouver in 1971 who would play this song a few other songs from Trooper before they ever came onto radio or were released on record. He later found out from a former co-worker that it was in fact Ra McGuire who worked there for a summer before Trooper ever got famous
Oh Canada,i love it here.I grew up in the states and i'd come stay here for a year now and then and i alway's loved it.Honestly there's no place i'd rather be than right here in beautiful Canada!
This is my Mom's song(Linda)...she's on life support in the hospital right now. I know if your reading these you don't know me or my Mom but if you send a prayer for her...that would be awesome!.She's always been so much fun and also an alcoholic, her addictions are why she is so sick right now.If she pulls threw ,I have her lined up for rehab. Its ironic but if you have a loved one who is in my Mom's boat....just remember 'we're here for a goodtime not a long time,so have a good time...because the sun can't every day.Enjoy your life! and your loved ones.
I will also be hearing Trooper tonight because they're playing a free concert in Woodstock, ON! And it's supposed to rain so I'm sure the irony won't be lost on anybody.
yep! you have that right.(except for the american part...).my sister, who used to sing this song, died suddenly 3ago.these lyrics remind me to be mindful... this country, in its entiriety is an amazing place indeed... l'ingredient du Quebec, c'est la passion, la musique, le sens de la famille... mix it in with every particularlirity of our different corners ( even the most remote) and you have ONE HELL OF A GREAT PLACE. best in the world in fact!!
What in the world to do but keep smiling and some music never goes out of style........We are here for a long time not a long time by trooper has always cheered up when skies are grey.......................................
In memory of my Co-worker Gary Arason who passed away Friday March 30 2012. Great man ,friend, and father. All of us will miss you very much and work won't be the same without you there. Rest in peace my friend
I brought the LP "Trooper Hot Shots" to my grade 4 listening station for my friends to hear - that was probably 1981 or so. Good memories- it was a couple years after that I started playing music- I've been at it ever since....
I remember trooper when they played in my home town in cranbrookway back then awesome and i met the lead singer at the laundry mat wow that was great i talked to him and he gave me a free back stage ticket wow it was so great love trooper all there songs,I have no dislikes of trooper what so ever. love them all
Saw them live a couple of years ago, bit heavier, bit slower but they still rocked the house down (Ottawa civic centre so not a small venue, played with 70's one hit wonder Cooper Brothers)
Im 14 and my parents throw partys in the bar in the basement i always DJ and put this and many classics on, its reached Bowmanville ontario and down hear in the eagles nest(our Bar)
This was played at a friend's funeral as his casket was wheeled out. He believed in having a good time in everything he did and wanted others to always have a food time regardless of the circumstances.
My dad has had 6 cancers fighting the 7th in ten years when this song plays he smiles fills with life and sings it's awsome
Yeah man, sorry to hear about your old man but he sure does get it!
God bless
Did he beat it?
