Its a great review but I want people to know that it is almost impossible to sync audio to video. I have done a 20 min videoclip to test if it was my gopro, garmin virb or the ebay voice recorder that was the problem. I also recorded sound via my PC. I imported all 4 clips into sony vegas and both video and audio sync is fine from gopro, garmin and PC. The sound from voicerecorder is several seconds out of sync at the end. I tried to stretch that audiotrack to equal length and it was good at beginning and end but it was out of sync everywhere else. As a voice recorder it is very good for the money but not if you want to sync audio with video. Buy a good linear pcm digital recorder instead (like zoom h1) or use your smartphone.
when you use the 8gb recorder. You have to use a good mono lapel mic. YOU cannot use a stereo mic I repeat, that will cause it to distort and skip every 60 seconds.
For the person complaining about sync you need to go into options and turn sound off. Otherwise it stops recording when you aren't making noise this is why your tracks are out of sync. Do some research before blaming your hardware.

I purchased the Model no. CP0260 and after the third time charging, the device stop working...all it would do when turned on, is just display the “Hour Glass.” So I recommend you look into buying another Brand!

When you first got yours how long did you have to charge it for? I just received mine and I am stuck on the hour glass after a couple of hour charge when I try and fire it up.

Was wondering if there is a more up to date version (which hopefully addresses the voice to video synch issues). Tried a search on Google - no joy. Any help appreciated. Many thanks.

My current firmware info is: 2014/04/17 version 1.1.00 2014/03/06 AS331c_v1000 I found that when you make a long recording then play back, you can hear a quick cutoff very 4-5 minutes. Hopefully, a new firmware will fix this problem. Try recording a few songs back to back, then play back. You'll notice what I mean.

Its cause you have auto stop recording mode don't blame tech blame you

yes, it comes with the phone jack & adaptor, however, I had bought mine in hopes to be able to use it on my smart phone for business calls.

This is far to complicated with a hard to read instruction booklet. It's cheaper to get an app for the iPhone.
