Yes they do, I live in the same area as Richard Jean and have ran into him at the Dam, fishing on the bank and also at some sports stores looking for particular things, he is as great a person in person as he is on his videos.

Richard have you ever caught a Crappie with a hotdog? I did last night just about sunset. I had six pound test mono with a 3/0 circle hook on a six foot Garcia rod and reel bought at the Walmart. We were camping at lake Texanna near Victoria. The day had been a hot one in the high 90s. I was fishing on a dock basically free line with no added weight. I also caught several small catfish . The dock was lighted and as the May flies came so did the gar fish. I usually use chicken livers to catch catfish. I learned to fish with chicken livers when I would visit my great aunt and uncle on their farm in Kansas. Anyway it was a surprise pull in that Crappie! The clinch knot and polymer knot is all that required for freshwater fishing.Should you re spool your reels my favorite bait shop or even bass pro will tie the necessary knots for fee provided you buy there line.

I agree with the diawa reels. I caught a 19# blue cat while fishing for spring crappie on a 2500 diawa revros on 6# test line. Was impressed with the smooth drag that managed to survive a 45 minute fight with a large catfish.
