Very, VERY excited for the expansion of Studios with the promenade, lake, and Frozen land. …..a bit disappointed France isn’t getting the Sliding Sleighs coaster, as both parks DESPERATELY need more attractions!! 🤷🏼♂️
One thing that's always notable in modern Disney park construction photos and videos is how few people are on site and how little activity there is. But you know, gotta spread that CapEx over as many quarters as possible.
Really excited about the Frozen area. I know construction walls are not great but Disneyland never closes. There is no other solution. Better that than no expansion or redevelopment
I find the new studios expansion quite underwhelming. To me it looks like a single land at the end, and the a small developed area on the right and lastly a lake. Around 70% of the space is expansion plots. It’s going to be very annoying to walk all the way around the barren sides of the lake to get to a land with a cloned ride
Construction of The Lion King Land is due to start in early 2024. It's true that it'll feel a bit empty at first, but it's an important addition to the park's circulation.
Is the 2-3 year timeline feasible? Is Frozen even going to be open by 2024? Disney builds so slowly. Would love to see Lion King ready in 2-3 years but seems like they’ll need time to actually idéate before they break ground and then it would be 4-5 years at least
Well at least compared to the original park this new expansion will leave a framework for a better park. This new lake will create a better atmosphere as well. When Disney decides to invest more they will not need to redo the whole park again
Find it odd that Disney have decided not to put the Sliding Sleighs coaster into the new land, the Studios needed some more thrilling rides, and the mountain is perfect for it!
I agree with you in some aspects. The mountain adds a lot of the land, theming wise, but the ride itself is incredibly short! Have you seen a POV? It would obviously be a success, but it’s quite underwhelming
It has got to be the most theming per track meter out there… Either way, it looks amazing and I’m sure a lot of people will enjoy it for what it is, a highly themed Goofy’s Barnstormer. I’m sure I would like to ride it a couple of times!
I am so excited for it About time the studios is given love and would't surprise me if Frozen 3 comes out in 2025 in time to give them a chance to add more stories to the land : )
Seeing the Frozen land at HKDL, I really don’t understand why DLP doesn’t have the sleigh rollercoaster. This park needs more rides and there was a perfect opportunity to build both at once rather than expansion later. DLP gunna DLP I guess
DLP is a magical Park, Indeed we need more familly rides in DLP, space for walking espacially at night with lighting, restaurants, Frozen land is in this spirit and what is why Disneyland Paris is a beatifull Park. Look at Disney HK , Disney Tokyo, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland have no soul, no charm. As rollercoaster you have Avenger Flight force, Crush's Coaster in Studio park maybe later Tron in Discoveryland. DLP have to extend Fantasyland with 2 or 3 more familly rides, space, restaurants.
That's a possibility, but it's very far into the future just yet. Before Avatar (or another themed land around the lake) we expect the Lion King land and a new land in Disneyland Parc, possibly Star Wars!
It’s expected that Frozen, the Promenade, the lake and the Theatre District to open in summer 2025. So you could visit a couple of years earlier 😉 There are new passes though, not as good or cheap as the old ones, but still!
@@themainstreetnews Neh, I'll pass and let Disney actually finish a few more projects, before spending several thousands of Euros more at Disney's Paris resort. Quite frankly, I rather spend less, fly to California and enjoy a VIP tour at a certain theme park in Universal City. Similar to the Star Wars Hotel, to me, there are better options where I can spend what I would spent at the Disneyland Paris resort. My next Disney resort will likely be in Japan. If I'll head to Paris again, then it will be Parc Asterix.
@@RGamePlayXtreme I agree 100%. I'm someone who usually spends a lot. So, yes, I did the calculation and can confirm that my VIP Universal Studios Hollywood visit will be similar to what I spent at Disneyland Paris (without Infinity). Heck, I will even fly one flight in a Delta One suite....
I agree with many of the other comments - especially the theatre district. It feels like more of the campus style design which is frankly boring and isn't very inspiring, it looks almost like what it's like to walk around the hotel lake which imo isn't what the theme parks themselves are about. Planters are nice but I expected more of the golden age of hollywood to be infused into that area. I can't believe they're leaving the production courtyard basically unchanged aside from a new floor and some plants - the ugliest corner of any Disney theme park. I get that the area is kept open for the projection shows but since there'll be something new on the lake to replace it, it's such a shame they're not completely redoing that corner, ripping out the stitch live building which honestly looks like a backstage building and putting in something like a great movie ride or something that fits next to Tower of Terror
I get those criticisms and they make sense, the point is another though. Currently, that part of the park in NOT presentable in a Disney Park, so while the changes won’t bring a high level of theming, it’ll be presentable. I recommend you check my video on just the Theatre District, there you’ll get more information on it all. Also, the production courtyard will be quite reduced and will look better, but it does need to exist because of shows on the Tower of Terror…
When frozen land opens, is it hoped that the developments to the entrance will also be finished? So it is all finished at once? Also what are your thoughts on the third gate? I believe Disney is required to build this and with the currently rising success rate of DLP it looks likely? And if it is going to happen, what thoughts do you have for possible themes? I know that I'd love to see DLP finally get its own version of expedition Everest or the Matterhorn, maybe called Expedition Etna and themed to the volcano.
Okay, so, starting from the beginning: - Yes, the plan is to open Frozen, the Promenade and Lake + the Theatre District (entrance) all at once; - The third gate will be built, sooner or later. The agreement between France and Disney states this. Currently the deadline is 2036, but it can be extended once more until 2040. - In terms of theme, I truly have no clue what they could do here. Maybe an Animal Kingdom mixed with Epcot’s World Showcase?
There's been a lot of development in this year. Before there was the lake dug out and some small foundations, now the show buildings are several stories high, the lake is complete and awaiting to be filled and theming is starting to show up... There's still a long way to go, but it has indeed changed a lot
There is no official date for the opening of this expansion, but, according to highly reputable sources, the Frozen, Promenade, Lake and Theatre District will all open as one and in Summer 2025.
when i think of how soulless and disapointing the last big changes in the studios are, i dont have much hope for the new lake expansion. yes it all loks modern and fresh and with frozen we got a big brand into the park but i still dont have hope for that park. i realy hope they gonna prove me otherwise
Frankly, i love disneyland but the old mcdonalds was a disgrace. It was super dirty and you felt how tired every worker was. It made you wait in a disorderly manner in a very sad area.
Why do you think that? Personally I really like Galaxy’s Edge but it’s missing some things, kinetic energy being a big one… Disneyland Paris will have a Star Wars land, but not Galaxy’s Edge and not in this park! According to rumours of course

Thank you for the updates, looks really exciting 😊
Thank you for watching! They look really exciting!
I cant wait for this construction to be completed, especially Walt Disey studios, now there will be more things to do, that this park really needs.
I can’t wait to just walk on the shore of the lake, take in the SPACE! Something WDS desperately needs
Really excited about the Frozen area. I know construction walls are not great but Disneyland never closes. There is no other solution. Better that than no expansion or redevelopment
Couldn’t agree more!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it

Disneyland hotel has already reopened ☺️
1200€ per night. Smallest room.
Not yet! It’s reopening in January of next year. The hotel is already bookable though

Will frozen come out next year
No. The ETA is summer 2025
Until it opens the annual pass will cost about 3.000 Euro if they raise prices at the current rate... an outrageous price development... 🤬

It was in need of a big revamp or complete overhaul. The new restaurant will hopefully fix all these problems and become a more pleasant place to eat!
Too bad that they calcelled the contruction of Galxy's Edge
Disney stock is tanking
They are so slow with construction it’s a disaster!! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

What?

Glad they decided not to build another ridiculous galaxy’s edge. What a terrible land that is.
