So happy for you. You look like a natural on that rig.

Looks like one of my favorite places to fish in the early spring without mentioning. I've done extremely well in there in March and as early as February. I have two vintage vids from there back in 1995 on my channel if you want to check them out. A 6lb.9oz. and a 6lb.14oz. Many big fish in there! Have a few friends that have caught 8's out of there. Definitely put your time in.

Appreciate you not mentioning. I’ve caught my pb there a few years back and the smallest fish I’ve caught was about 2 pounds. You don’t catch many fish there but the ones you do are large. Best part, the ramp is always quiet. Thanks for watching.

@@UntamedOutdoorsmen Your welcome bro, great night fishing lake as well. Used to throw all black musky jitterbugs in there and big single colorado blade spinnerbaits in black as well. Good luck with the new kayak.

Been keeping up with your build series. Definitely like what y’all have done. I too have a Titan X 12.5 and have seen some great ideas on your installs. Thanks for making the series! Keep up the great work!

Oh, I saw a vid where a guy added bunks to his Boonedox bed extender. He had a Hobie, but it was a good idea. Just thought I’d share it. ua-cam.com/video/8K_OiR_JZkc/v-deo.htmlsi=zIDARgEG9aSMDFEN

Nice maiden voyage. Happy for you. What’s funny is that we basically dress the same here in south Florida to protect from the sun. Face protection, head protection, uv clothing etc. The water temp here is 68-70 though.

    I just found your channel.
That kayak looks great. I especially like that the surfaces are all mostly flat; that makes it much easier to mount accessories. Usually, most kayaks have several curves to deal with; that's always problematic.
I may have missed it but how is the stability? Do you think the v-hull on this model is just as stable as a tri-hull design? Have you been in any rougher water... any two-foot waves with wind?
I like the looks of this rig a lot. I've been looking for a few months and this one might be the one.
    Thank you for posting this.

Stability’s great. Haven’t been in any crazy waves like you described but I have been in rougher water and it handles it pretty well. Thanks!

    How
Much adjustability is there for leg room between seat and pedals?

@@brett5803 a lot. I could push the seat back another 8 inches

Was really looking forward to this, great video. How hard was it to raise and lower the motor with having to lean that far forward, any plans to attach lines to assist? Also couldn't tell from the audio but did you have water on the deck with the draining scuppers?

    • @UntamedOutdoorsmen
      @UntamedOutdoorsmen  7 місяців тому +1

I didn’t have any issues with leaning forward and deploying the lines. I did that on my old kayak so I’m used to it. The self draining scuppers worked great for Pete and I. But keep in mind if the scuppers are below the water line they won’t drain until they’re above it. So sometimes the water will pool in the deck until it gets high enough and comes out. But it’s nice not having to worry about pulling the scuppers all the time.

What chair are you using? I need a swivel like that.

Stock native titan x 12 seat. It’s a swivel from factory
