This is a very common feature this is a very common thing in covid scenario where there is loss of smell. The common symptoms where there is loss of smell or smell . if there is purulent infection on the nasal cavity where there is accumulation of debris they can have origin and as a result you can have bad smell in the nose. In children there can be Bad smell in nose where there is a foreign body in the nose or unilateral nasal discharge and as a result of that there can be discharge and sometimes associated with long standing foreign body. Children who don’t clean their nose well can give rise to secondary infections sinusitis can be a cause of Bad smell in nose with nasal discharge and bleeding from nasal cavity. There can be infection with blood stains. There can be mucopurulent discharge. Occasionally can have blood clots with discharge because of teh sinusitis and there can be sinusitis giving rise to these system and there can be Bad smell in nose: . There can be neurological features giving rise to Bad smell in nose: t here can be multiple causes and we have to sift out what is the actual cause an treat it accordingly.

So a few night ago we have spaghetti alfredo , but my mom wanted to try this new sauce but little did I know it would be my worse nightmare, the sauce smelled like vomit and the fact that I was ( and still am ) sick during this didn't help. I decided too to become very introverted. Sometimes i go to open the door to go outside then i realize it's the first time Im going out after about 2 days. I stopped going to church as people beside me always seemed to be in disgust and very uncomfortable after smelling it. School however, its like everyday torture, i have to find a spot where no one is close to me. And when the wind blows i have to hold my breath. F*** it😂 i've been soo angry before i even feel sorry for myself sometimes

I have gone under nose job back in 2014 and since then there is always bad smell in my nose when i rub my nose with my hand. And it increased more recently. Sometimes it smell like fish and sometimes like fungus. I got sick of it.
Someone told me that my sinus might have developed so sort of pocket which blocks dirts inside.
Is there any surgery that will help u?

@@triplehvanna3747 update : i saw i doctor recently and told me there is no sinus infection nor puckets. He asked me if i got covid. I told him yeh, last july, a year ago. He said thats why you smell those things in your nose. He said covid tends to damage the nerves in the nose and it will take time to repair. I told him its a year already, he said for some people it takes up to 2 years or more. So i have to be patient.

Please help me people run away me because of bad smell nose
I have an offset septum following an injury when I was younger. I get a cheesy smell developing in my nose at times which I think is due to accumulation of dirt or body fluids in a crevice. Washing my nostril with an alcohol based cleanser or smearing an antiseptic cream inside it makes the smell go away. Hope this might be of help to some people as I found very little online that related to my problem.

@@monam1671 The cleanser is Clean & Clear by Johnson & Johnson. It is a face cleanser. I put it on a cotton bud if cleaning my nose. Cream is Germoline. An antiseptic that is mostly used for applying to small cuts before putting on plasters.

@@monam1671 Cleanser is not a cream. It is a mild alcohol cleanser for pores. OK to use sometimes (for me) but I guess it may cause irritation if used too much. I found using once stopped the smell for a few weeks. The antiseptic cream is OK to use in nose. Same effect I had smell on and off for years due to dirt getting into my nose. I found stopping wiping my hand across my nose helped. Area of smell was just inside my septum.
Can a staph infection in the nose cause a strange smell ?
My bad smell came from my infected tonsils! Took me ten years to figure out. Started cleaning them out and that fixed the rancid smell that I was coming in waves.

I am struggling with tonsil rotten smell in my mouth and nose

Hello the last few days my nose has been sensitive to foods what should I do anytime I smell foods I get a fowl odor in my nose and mouth is this from sinuses?

I notice before I get a cold or sinus infection (I am prone to infections due to deviated septum) I will smell a persistent garlic smell, even if it's been a long time since I've eaten any garlic, and it seems to be coming from inside my nose.

I lost my sense of smell and of taste during the covid 19 period but I didn't have the virus. 2 years later which is now I had a very strong metallic smell in my nose accompanied with a very painful heartache. Hi, is sinus heredetary ('cause my mother side have this) or not? This started when I had my first vaccine in covid last June 2022. I got sick but the cold stays until now and here I stated to smell something rotten inside my nose. @a3stars966 Ive dealt with the same from a failed root canal treatment. Ive been to 7 diff ENTs and had mersa in my sinuses. Just had surgery 3wks ago and the smell is still there. Tried Iv antibiotics 3yrs ago and nothing has helped. I pray and try not to give up hope. I don't believe Almighty Father God brought me this far to leave me. Maybe its my time. Many more ENT specialist I met but no one identified the actual cause whenever air pressure changes bad smell popping out of nose I tried everything OTD and Ayurvedic, prescribed non prescribed but no change sir what to do? Its been 2 months recovered from Covid19

My right nostril is always blocked with sometimes blood in it whenbi blow out but of late its staring to smell bad even after I blow my nose, the stinky smell remains.

I’ve been dealing with this a couple times a year for 20 years, it’s the most retched smell. Best solution I’ve used is rubbing essential oil’s around the sinus areas, it also helps with the horrible smell. Makes me so nauseated. I feel your pain going through it as we speak.

Iv been smelling something like a burnt smell every where I go same smell I kept smelling things to see what it is but I think it's in my nose for about 4 weeks now I think something might be wrong with me to because iv been sleepy every day I can't concentrate either at work and it doesn't matter how much sleep I get same tired but I have thyroid I'm taking meds for that but maybe it has to do with that somehow .
