  • My Turbinates were Outfractured but I have all of my Turbinates... It could be nerve damage to the turbinates... However this could be from something else...
I have done some EXTENSIVE medical research...
So any advice, comments & suggestions are HELPFUL!
I am already going to see Doctor's that Specialize in this.
    Please pray for me.

    MORE INFO :
There is a spot in the nose,
Kiesselbach's plexus, which lies in Kiesselbach's area, Kiesselbach's triangle, or Little's area,
which connects four arteries to form a vascular plexus. The arteries are: Anterior ethmoidal artery (branch of the ophthalmic artery)
There are Epithelium / Plasma in Mucsa specifically. And after reading medical studies on mice and the affects of taking out the nasal mucosa and different ways of healing it, i realized that the dryness i was experiencing could be this. Stem Cell Therapy was brought up to heal as well. And that is something i have been extensively studying in various forms. I began to research treatments, different types of tissue grafting, cell regeneration, the entire anatomy of the nose, all of its functions, nerves, what they’re called, where they’re located, turbinates, pretty much everything.
The anterior ethmoidal nerve is a nerve which provides sensory branches to the nasal cavity.[1] The nerve is the continuation of the nasociliary nerve which affects the ethmoidal air cells. The nasociliary nerve arises from the Ophthalmic division of the Trigeminal nerve (CN V) within the orbit.
The anterior ethmoidal nerve arises only after the nasociliary has given off its four branches - 1) Ramus communicans to ciliary ganglion, 2) Long ciliary nerves, 3) infratrochlear nerve, 4) Posterior ethmoidal nerve.
After branching off of the nasociliary nerve, it sends sensory fibers to the middle and anterior ethmoidal air cells.
The nose contains stem cells that replenish themselves or regenerate and my understanding is other then there, no other stem cells in the adult body reproduce themselves... Now I am no doctor or expert this is just something that I read in some research a few years back.. I understand that they have been used in European spinal patients and at one point There was a show on PBS That was done by Christopher Reeves..(Superman Character) or about him...on stem cell research and regeneration or repair of spinal injuries. Apparently they had made some progress in movement after treatment with these stem cells, something about the stem cells taking on the job of regrowing the damaged spinal area....

See if you told someone to walk around with a clothes pin on their nose all day... they MIGHT be able to do it.. for an hour... 2.. maybe all day... KNOWING eventually it would come off... But with ENS patients... This is NOT the case. They don't know when they're gonna feel air. if they ever do

I have had a lot of success recently with COLD LASER THERAPY. I have a lot of fluctuations still.. but the suffocation is down about %70 .. and my nose is sometimes running like it used to. I want to make a video on this, but i am afraid to jinx it because i feel like i've had the worst shit luck.
But i suggest trying cold laser therapy... Several treatments. Its cheap too.

I too feel like am experiencing ENS after a sinus surgery. I have seen 5 surgeons and they all have told me everything looks normal in my nose and it doesn’t appear to show that I am suffering from ENS. Although I have a dry nose (like half of my nose at the bottom is extremely dry), when I breath in and out it feels like it’s too much air traveling in and out of my nose. I could literally smell everything I eat in my nose even hours later, but than what makes it wired is I still have a sever lost nasal drip at the back of my nose and the Oder is just foul. Smh. This is just a horrible situation to be in after you let a dr try to fix things up and actually leave you with a permanent nightmare. I don’t even know what I am experiencing at this moment. I really hope and pray to God that we all get through this ❤️

Hey hun, I’m watching this video empathizing so deeply with you. I just want you to know that you’re incredibly strong. I know how hard these circumstances can be. I don’t know your exact situation, but I am dealing with my own bizarre nose situation. Not EMS but basically had a root canal and my sinus I believe was punctured (Bc the fluid rushed into my sinus and drained out my nose) and now have breathing problems, like air feels ice cold and dry and gives me a tension headache above my eye all the time. Just wanted to send you my love and healing. Please do not give up. This life sometimes doesn’t make sense but you are so strong, it’s actually contagious and I feel stronger from watching you. You have a great attitude and I know in my heart you will find healing as will I. Never let go of hope. My friend broke his neck years ago skimboarding, couldn’t move anything or breathe on his own without equipment, Docs told him he’ll never move or breathe on his own ever again. He worked so damn hard towards healing, trying absolutely everything, never giving up, and slowly has been making HUGE progress with each passing year. Now he can operate a smart phone on his own and has full movement of his neck and chest area. You hang in there okay. Sending you positivity ❤️

You should try to take that person to court. A lot of people experience that after root canals and operations with the teeth and i believe it's because a nerve is connected. I have seen a couple people in my ENS group that have similar stories.
Idk how the hell this happens and how teeth are connected to the sinuses. But i get it now.
Your words on healing really inspired me to keep going. I've learned a lot.

I had turbinate reduction and I developed ENS. The interesting part is that before my surgery i would use Afrin. When Afrin opened up my nasal passages I would feel that ENS feeling. I remember I would ignored it and it went way . Interesting 🤔. Now in the present, after surgery , my nose healed and I felt that ENS feeling again. I ignored it and it suddenly went away . It took a while like 4 months ignoring it . It might sound silly but I remember checking and checking my nose with my fingers to see if I was breathing. It got to the point that I told myself mentally , " if I stop breathing my reflexes will kick in gasping for air." so I ignored it and my ENS went away. It sounds silly but this the way my ENS went away. " I Adapted" perhaps . I think the more you think about it the more u stay stuck in that mental cycle . i can tell u one thing for sure , u are getting enough oxygen becouse u are still alive, thats how i ignored ENS and beat it . Trust me, I know what ENS feels like, that blocked feeling even when air passages are wide open not sensing any air when breathing . In my opinion , i think the reason ENS developes is because u become aware of your breathing. Due to mouth breathing after surgery and always congested before surgery then suddenly nostrils wide open . This is my opinion based on my experience . Hope everyone that has this get Well .

my nostrils are less open now. they were narrowed. My nose didn't heal right.
Im a vocalist so this is something i need to fix so i can get back to being able to perform at my badass level. The dry air i breathe messes with my throat too.
Did all of this go away without you thinking about it??? Like is it all still the same or are you just not thinking about it?
I'm a performer. So i need to get this corrected.

Alex.. that is VERY HOPEFUL. When you ignore things, they do go away. Often its hard so we have to numb them somehow. Afrin is known to numb or deconggest the mucosa. So that might be why you felt like that. your nose was numb. After surgery your nose probably went through something similar and did a bit of healing.
I can actually sense air more now.
What the issue is.. is the dryness... affecting my voice.. My voice is my money maker.. but more importantly my daily JOY. Something i worked so hard at for years. I enjoyed being able to do cool things with it... and progress as months and years went on..
      And now i have degressed.
      My nose WAS made smaller.
He did things i was not aware he was going to do.
So it did have an affect on my voice... because it changed my shape therefore my resonator and easy access to my vocal placement.
It is hard to whenever you feel okay for one second and the next you're not.
But ignoring it.. yes.. that helps...

Thank you for sharing your experience. Thanks to yours and other people's stories I've decided not to go for turbinate reduction surgery. I've got chronical rhinitis (I guess? No ENT has ever told me what's wrong) and conservative treatment doesn't help, but with flushing the nose few times a day I got at least couple of hours when the nose is functioning somehow normally. It is definitely still better than risking this condition by undergoing a surgery. I honestly hope things are going better for you now (and as I've seen a 1 year old update from you it seems they are).

    I went to my
today, I asked him how much of my tissue he removed. To which he replied he did not remove any but shrunk my turbinates with Radiofrequency which is the kindest (technically that’s reducing the tissue but okay) and he also outfractured them. (Didn’t know that. Hell no.)🤦🏻‍♀️
He dismissed my suggestion about my blood vessels or nerves being damaged and said it is normal to damage them while operating. Yeah sure but everyone heals differently and I asked him why then my nose is drying.
Of course he couldn’t give me any explanation. He then proceeded to suggested to reduce my left turbinate even more and fix my septum, because the air flow in my left nostril is fucked up and it could also have an effect on the drying but he can’t promise because I will be angry at him. We’ll my primary problem is the drying and it’s affects. He totally dismissed what I told him about feeling dizzy and headaches, that can not be caused by my nose. 🤦🏻‍♀️ He was super defensive and that’s what angers me way more. I told him I am just trying to figure out what the problem is. And he replied we‘re on the same page then.
He then proceeded to put spray in my nose against swelling even though it was not congested at this time.
It made the resistance worse and air felt cold, gave my dizzyness and blurry vision.
When I told him my nose and sinuses was infected last week and I cured it with garlic and tea he looked at my sinuses with ultrasonic to tell me they‘re free, yeah say what, now there fine again. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It‘s only when my mucosa dries out and is infected that I struggle hard with breathing.
He also told me out of the blue: you‘re prone to infections.
No I‘m not, I never had any sinus infections prior. Wtf.
    Thanks for nothing.

Stay around family and never take what they do personal because you know they’ll never understand what you’re going through. serve others and You’ll find out sooner or later that that’s what you were designed for. go after what you want goals but serve and help others along the way. So sorry you suffer with this, I'm freaking out I might have this , I am 8 days out from septoplasty and turbinate reduction and my sleep has been awful especially without my CPAP machine as I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea last year. I had this surgery to hope to improve my breathing and. Improve my sleep and hopefully sleep apnena and now I'm stressed I cud have made this worse. My nose is constantly blocked with crusting at the moment and struggling to sleep properly.

I got rhinoplasty and septoplasty in 2022. Since the surgery got finished, I have not been able to control my breath.
Those below are the actual main symptoms I have.
①When my noses inhale the air, the air comes into my body too strongly. It's so strong that I feel suffocated.
And my noses don't work for letting the air out from my body by themselves. So, I need to try to force the air to go out from my body.
②I have a headache and need to take pills for it every day.
③My nasal snot stuck with my nasal paths.
④My mouth, nose, and throat are always getting dry. The mouth doesn't produce enough saliva. The nose is burning. The throat is always with pain.
Honestly, these symptoms make me insane every single second.
If you're considering whether you should take any nasal surgery or not, just be careful of your decision.

My ENT recommend septoplasty and turbinate reduction now after seeing what could happen with the Turbinates has me paranoid. I am on day 5 towards recovery and at night I can’t even breathe only through the mouth. He did not remove all the turbinate only shrank a little to get airflow since none would go up my right nostril. I dunno this shit has me stressing now.

I feel your pain.. and i am so sorry. Everyday i cry. Today was BADDD. I freaked out. This whole week has been bad. It's like a few really goood hopeful days... throughout months of agony. I still do what i can do and need to do... But this disease NO ONE GETS. It's not like Cancer. I actually think it's a lot more traumatizing than that. My I.T's were reduced as well unbeknownst to me...
I have had 1 Stem Cell Injection which did help but didn't do as much as i would have liked..
BUT i have been getting Cold Laser Therapy... and seeing mass UNEXPECTED benefits from that. I went in thinking, nothing is going to work because this could be a plethora of shit going on. But over time.. the body regenerates.
      The nasal mucosa..

yoou are blessed. The majority of people don't, if they do it's usually from an "aggressive approach"
Sadly it was too late, after i saw that a lot of surgeon go in the nose like Leatherface and do quick surgeries.. and are not delicate when it is a delicate organ.
NOW i do have 1 Question: Balloon Dilation, did that help open you up? And what does it all do or entail?
Because my nose is sort of closed up on the inside and i mentioned that to my ENT as a suggestive treatment... Because sometimes i have to sing and rap with Q-Tips in my nose or holding my nose and its quite hilarious.. its like i'm holding a mask on my face.

My nasal turbinates got swollen during covid infection and were refractory to treatment. An ENT surgeon suggested partial chemical cauterization of inferior turbinates and said it is helpful in many situations. I thought he is specialist and knows what is he doing. I ended up with ENS two months after cauterization. It is horrible to live with this condition as I don't feel that I am breathing I don't feel the air in my nose and lungs, I feel that I am dying 24/7. My life is ruined. I hope my body somehow get repaired. Do not let anyone touches your turbinates

I am sure you definitely can. Idk how it's like in other Countries. But so far i've seen people getting stem cells and definitely PRP in other countries. Might be even better here in the US although i saw Dr. Das and i trust him and his knowledge. He's educated me a lot... well Google has. But he's confirmed a lot. I'll put it this way. Just from the aggressive outfracture this surgeon did to me... i had reallly terrible ENS. pretty much a 5 on a 1-5 scale for the SNOT-22 test on almost every one. However, it's now MILD.
PRP is good if you have a lot of bulk but want to sprout angiogenesis and cell regrowth, nerve function, ect. It's a bit cheaper too. Im considering getting another injection. I only had 1. And have mostly been doing Light and Laser Therapy.

I am actually trying to and ironically have bumped into many lawyers sympathetic to my case. I have felt so disabled & helpless i haven't even been able to get on disability. I still go out and do my thing and rest as much as i can. Perform. Work when I can. I try. But i DO have a Case. It's just hard to hear back from people. which I hate. Things take time.
And also - it's so hard to determine whether it's a complication or a surgical error but i can tell you right now, there are many reasons WHY it IS a surgical error. And regardless lawyers have told me "IT DOESN'T MATTER, the Outcome is NOT what was supposed to happen, It left you with this, and you should seek justice"
Yet i have to hear back.. and it's all felt hopeless.
      But i'm gonna keep trying.

God help Lexa. When you pause your talk I know what you mean. I pause my talk too at some moments in one of the videos. Wish you strength (inner strength), this helped me, and at the same time a few tricks that hopefully, if they worked for me, they will work for someone else too. The help may not come from doctors - it didn't for me, from them I only heard 'you are crazy, you take drugs, you have nothing, you only want a nose job' (I have seen several ENT specialists, that's why there are several answers). And while there, when you breath at 0:58, it doesn't sound ok - the nostrils are restricted, dry mucosa will swollen and restrict the nostrils.

But as a vocalist this is hard.
I have always had voice issues and sensativities and trained everyday but i was in a really good place.

but the dryness and the nasal passages being made smaller / different has caused that for sure. He did a lot more to my nose than was ever communicated or i ever even wanted or signed up for. I know the issues i'm having trouble with, with resonating, and those are the areas he did things to.
WHAT DID WORK FOR U THOUGH? i am curious. Because i have some things that did for me.
We can trade some thoughtful advice.
And it's never been any of the stupid vanilla answers Surgeons or ENT's have given me.

If it's not that bad... don't do it! I thought this would help - but omg. I'm a smart girl, so i had NO idea this would happen. TBH, i think operating on Turbinates specifically (not really septums but still) should be extremely rare and only in cases where it's really impeding on someones sleep or quality of life. They are important. And patients don't know this. Doctors do but don't say anything.
If you do, see an ENT - ask a lot of questions. And make sure they do not touch your turbinates, at least not without your absolute consent.

A straight septoplasty will not give you any issues. These videos on the internet with ENS are mostly due to a turbinates removed or deeply reduced due to a turbinate hypotrophy. If you tell your surgeon you don’t want turbinates touched, they are not crazy to still do it. So to anyone who has ENS, you know you didn’t know the difference between a turbinectomy vs a septoplasty only. If you need this surgery and have concerns, don’t do turbinates.

I have something similar going on with my right nostril. It feels stuffy and I can’t smell too well out of it and nasal spray hasn’t worked. Nerves are scary when they stop working.

    • @LexaTerrestrialx
      @LexaTerrestrialx  5 років тому

DAMN. see right there the first few sentences sound like swollen turbinates...
My right nostril does the same and bled for awhile at the top...
Nasal spray didn't work for awhile. It only temporarily did for like 10 minutes or so.
It works more now. But i have been getting treatments that are actually heap and easy to get.
I used to wake up every hour or not be able to sleep for 3 days.
      I love sleep.
They do say its normal to fluctuate from breathing out of one nostril or favoring one at a time... A NASAL CYCLE.
However i never noticed this before... NONE OF THIS. Until after the unfortunate surgery.
It is a lot better now but i still notice sometimes from time to time that it is easier to breathe out of one side. I feel stuffy a lot.
My nose DOES RUN More. But i also cry A LOT.
A lot of people get sinus surgeries FOR THESE REASONS because they have breathing issues due to them or a deviated septum or something else. But I have no inflammation either
Well i do. My nose is still very swollen and theres scar tissue.
So that causes some of it too.
Idk if you have had surgery... But if you haven't... treat it through irrigation, a good diet, lots of water. and maybe a few other things.

  • @unknownunknown3692

I think it looks like you have the wrong airflow in your nose. It could be that the upper part is being ignored, hence this weird feeling. Its hard to think that you nerves are damaged, BUT you do have cold air so thats the turbinate NOT warming the air. You need to make photos of the inside of your nose so you see the current shape of the turbinate, that will explain a lott.

I believe its a vast amount of things. Its still healing. However, nerves COULD be it.
He did fuck with my turbinates. I got a CT scan. and an endoscopy. They are all there. They don't look weird, or swollen. They are pink. However it could be the nerves on them.
It DOES feel like i am sucking in air through a straw and thats because the insides of my nose are a lot smaller.
Whatever he did, added or took away, made the insides not be able to handle it
That COULD be part of it.

      @laurenelizabeth9398 5 років тому +1

@@unknownunknown3692 Thank you for this explanation. I don't have this sensation but I do have very faint pressure and weird airflow due to a turbinate reduction which puts my breathing out of sync with the rest of my body and I can no longer take a deep breath due to a vortex being created and the air just going round and round in the nasal cavity and not into the lungs. I guess you could call it very mild ENS.

    • @unknownunknown3692
      @unknownunknown3692 5 років тому +2

@@LexaTerrestrialx How can the inside be smaller ? It looks like u dont understand ENS, ENS is when the nose is too open and either the turbinate or the airflow dont go the right way. You need too know where he cut the turbinate and how empty that part of your nose is, the airflow will change everytime the turbinates or cut. But if you struglle with deep breath it means the pressure isnt good anymore.

@@jizzahm I AGREE. THANK YOU. and i don't really care. But it makes me sad for those who leave comments like that to all the wrong people at all the wrong times.
Go send it to some fake chicks IG. Not mine man. Im an underdog whose suffered her whole life. The fact that i even put on makeup and felt like it that day.. was good.
Let people be, especially if they're suffering. No ones putting truth out there.
They're all filtered and posting generic ass shit too afraid to talk about their struggles or weakness. They only show the glamorous shit, not the road it took to get there. It's all an illusion. This is why people fall into this trap.
Don't perpetuate it. It will come back to you.
