@elijahmorris6534there was a mention that he was racist by saying southern Egyptians were not as "signifcant" ( from the person criticing metatron) so yes this does have an importance with the conversation
@elijahmorris6534 I've been watching him for years now and do history at university, I like the way in which he represents himself and references himself , he makes convincing arguements and is by no means got a political agenda behind him , he attacks both left and right wing arguments , he is also significantly more clever than me and uses information well , so no he is not racist he argued what may not be popular, and I have watched some of the videos he is responding to (they're 10 hours I can't be bothered to watch all that ) and find their arguments significantly less convincing or coherent
Isn't differentiating humans based on skin tone already a racist concept? Its clearly an easy way to differentiate people superficially, but also a gross over-simplyfication and an aritificial categorization of humans. And I think to view people through this categorization can quickly turn into classic racist ideas, stereotyping and discrimination. Your opinion here matters more simply because you stated you are "black". This just shows how much value we still associate to these artificial categories.
The late kingdom Ptolemaic dynasty that was closer to us historically than predynastic Egypt, the building of the pyramids and old kingdom Egypt clearly shows that ancient Egypt was a black African civilisation. Just like Spanish invading and conquest of Mesoamerica proves that they built their civilisation and even they pyramids in Mexico. Completely proven!
The funniest thing about American Black Nationalists who identify with Egypt is that even if Egypt were black throughout its history, it would still not be your people. Most American blacks are descended from West and Central Africans, so it would be the equivalent of an American of English descent acting like his ancestors were Russian.
The ones who would have the most merit (albeit little) were the ones enslaved in the Arab Slave Trade, which were brought from East Africa. However, they were usually sterilized so they didn't leave a visible mark in history.

Megaton. Thank you very very much for shedding light on the truth of who the ancient Egyptians were. I’m an Egyptian myself and seeing you defend the TRUTH is music to my ears. Again, thank you very much and god bless you.
Fortunately you have mountains of evidence on your side. But i don't envy you, i've noticed a lot of egyptians being harrassed and called arab invaders by americans. It must be annoying.
@@avielau7333You mean mountains of lies. The original Egyptians have African origins that came from within Africa. It the descendants of foreigners we see today claiming a culture that has nothing to do with them.
Africa is a continent not a color. Multiple races call it home. Genetic studies have settled the debate about ancient Egyptians, but some refuse to accept it.
I've seen "olive-skinned" used to refer to ANY Mediterranean people (Spanish, Cote d'Azur French, Italian, Greek, Turkish, Syrian, Palestinian, Israeli, Egyptian, Libyan, Tunisian, Algerian, Morrocan). It has traditionally been understood to mean a tanned skin or light brown. Not green, not black.
I agree, and to me the expression, olive skin has always been used, in Britain, to mean a person who has a complexion that was of a slightly pale brown hue. Basically typical of a person indigenous to southern and Mediterranean Europe, or the north of Africa. It had a certain metaphorical meaning, as it refers to the people of southern Europe, where olive trees grew abundantly, and olives were a large part of the peoples diet. At least this is the perception of northern European English speaking people. Where the expression 'olive skinned' comes from.
@@jamessullivan9306 Fair point, I dont think Metatron should use it in a generalised way to describe 'ancient' Egyptians. If he is talking about the ancient Egyptian period that started about 3150 BCE,. During this long time period, the genetic make up of Egyptians will have varied a lot. Though I believe he is talking about the periods from middle kingdom onwards - 1674BCE. The last Egyptian dynasty, ending with the death of Queen Cleopatra and Egypt becoming part of the Roman Empire. I believe Cleopatra and many of the ruling class, could have been described as olive skinned, as they were from Greek origin. He should be clearer about time periods he is talking about during the video..
But again, most of Mediterraneans are fair skinned. The olive complexion it’s an stereotype born from migration of peoples of those countries closer to the Mediterranean basin (and it’s now universal, you can find a lot of Sicilians or Calabrians who look like any other European)
@@jamessullivan9306 the point is in what you think "African" means. If you think it means "black" by default, you are wrong, especially if we refer to North and East Africa where Egypt has and had most of its own surface. If you mean "African"as being on the huge geographical platform you are correct and then you can reach a better understanding downgrading the relevance of skin tone. Olive skin is a good guess for many ancient Egyptians, of course not the only possibility and maybe not even the majority but it's more likely than imagining a wholly Nigerian look alike nation
Yep, and that's one of the reasons the modern left / progressives are so terrible at debating, logic and seeing inconsistencies. They never have to debate their ideas within their ideology, so they've had zero practice at it. That's also why they always fall back on accusations of racism/sexism/transphobia/islamaphobia etc when arguing outside their bubble. I remember as a kid doing debates and how it was easier to craft a logical and consistent debate if you were arguing for the side you didn't emotionally agree with. This will be something the right will have to remember when it becomes the dominant ideology again, so we don't fall into the same trap.

I am Egyptian, and what bothers me most isn’t when some Afrocentrists say that Egyptians were Black. What really troubles me is when people from southern and western African countries try so hard to prove that Egyptians were black, which they think means that they themselves are Egyptians too. This idea implies according to them that I -someone born and raised in Egypt with Egyptian grandparents- am not a “real” Egyptian just because I am not Black. It disturbs me how some of these claims don’t even make sense. It’s like an Italian saying that the ancestors of people in Sweden were Romans, just because they are all Europeans. I don’t understand how proving that Egyptians were Black means that someone from Congo (just as an example) is Egyptian or that their ancestors helped build Egyptian civilization. Because someone told them that humans started in Africa. That the Europeans came from Africa originally and migrated there long before any of these civilizations existed. Which is apparently true, but aoso apparently makes them believe that all Africans were black in the time of these civilizations. I may be wrong, but after looking into things that are happening in the States, it's mainly caused by people being upset because of things that happened during the early days of the Americas. A lot of things have come to light lately that have African Americans panties in a bunch, as well as a lot of upset Caucasians. 1 is the revelation that the Europeans originated in Africa. Evidence of the migration turned up and was reported within the last 5 yrs. There are as many Caucasians that want to dispute that as African Americans that want to use it to their advantage. History with Kayliegh has some good, easy to understand videos about this. Second is some European nation paid a bunch of former slaves relatives for the atrocities of a different time, and the African Americans had a few wins in this stuff too, but were also informed that they were slaves before they came here so couldn't continue to blame the Americans as their sole oppressors. Pan africanists and black nationalists fail to mention that africa is by no means a monolith, it is an entire continent full of different cultures and civilizations. Most american blacks are descended from cultures that had very little, if any, contact with egypt. Its like if some random guy from a swedish immigrant family in thr US claimed to be descended from roman nobility because at one point his ancestors lived in Europe. As a Scandinavian (with a Bachelor degree in Scandinavian history from a prestigious danish University) i can confirm, my ancestors did indeed say "blue men".. It appears both in Scandinavian "viking age" history regarding encounters with the moors in Spain and people along the north African coast and it appears in the old Norse linguistics, which any Norse linguistics expert will confirm. I will even point you to a professor in Norse linguistics that can verify. Blue in these cases were used to describe something dark, darker than the pale Scandinavians and north Europeans. I believe that Jackson Crawford has an entire video about the use of (and meaning of) blue in old Norse linguistics. He is a professor in Norse linguistics with a UA-cam channel.

Your claim is however not worth as much as mine, since you havnt pointed in the direction of a real specialist in Norse linguistics that has another opinion. Isn't differentiating humans based on skin tone already a racist concept?
So do we think that term is appropriate to describe an African civilization with a sizable brown and hey black skinned population?
All these attacks are just making the Metatron team better at their craft. Great job keeping it professional. Keep up the great work!
A shame they have to waste their time on this BS

As someone who translates very very old Japanese stories and puts them on here out of love for ancient Japanese history, I can understand wishing certain things about history were different, but never at any point has that made me deny what reality actually is. If you spend your whole life cutting yourself off from what actually is in support and pursuit of your empty, idyllic vision of what you want reality to be, you are setting yourself up for major, major disappointment, a truth that the ancient Japanese, with their strong tradition of Buddhism, repeatedly attest to.

This is what I've been told and pieced together from several other UA-cam channels, from all sides. 3rd would be a certain streaming platforms recent adaptations of historical events and the inaccuracies that are products of politics rather than facts causing debate.

And thats another funny thing about them, every single one of these people like to larp as egyptian royalty, when its far more likely that, if any of their ancestors even lived near Egypt, its far more likely they'd have been nile farmer #173728 who died after farting near a crocodile.
Plus, why not just study sub saharan african culture, which is highly underrated and very often misrepresented? Most of them are throwing their actual ancestry in the garbage bin to larp as egyptians.
The confusion came from comparison to Europeans and panEuropean ideas but Europe is much smaller continent and since IE invasion it was sort of one cultural zone. Sort of.
Africa is way bigger and divided.
So true
Is Sudan Sub Saharan
Aye, most brought to North America came from the Niger river region. Huge trade in slaves after the Songhai Empire was smashed by the Moroccans and all the rump states fought each other, trading slaves to the Europeans for muskets for their wars.

I appreciate your contributions thanks
You're saying 'As's Scandinavian' as if that's more valid than existing historical sources. As long as you're not a legit time traveler, your confirmation doesn't hold validity over historical records.

So.. where do you want to go from here?
I can tell you as a Scandinavian with a Bachelor in Scandinavian history, you will not find anyone able to tell me how my own ancestry and history is.
Further i did, you might have skipped it because thats how people like you often play, i did name a professor in Norse linguistics by name and i did let people know exactly where to find him and the evidence.
If you still doubt my words, its as easy as you going to his channel and finding the video regarding the use of "blue" and the "blue" men.. everyone can go have a look or even contact him.
I would expect any serious person had looked it up BEFORE trying to raise doubt about something like this.. but i guess facts and evidence are not practical when you want to raise doubt 😉
But do yourself a favor, go look it up.. its as easy as making yourself look silly in the comment section, just less people laughing at you afterwards.. win/win i would say 😉
And remember, unless you are a time traveler, you also have no valid argument that what im saying isnt real or the truth.. it goes both ways.
Your claim is however not worth as much as mine, since you havnt pointed in the direction of a real specialist in Norse linguistics that has another opinion.
And again, i told everyone excactly where to search out the validation of my words..
I wish you better luck next time 🙂

The fun thing about trying to figure out what Ancient Egyptians looked like... I always have to ask, "how ancient?" Egypt has been under the control of just about everyone in the region at one point or another.
That is correct but core of population is stable since neolithic times. Thats because Nile is one of most fertile rivers and like Mesopotamia and Chinese rivers when farming revolution begin it hold one of most massive population of farmers. And when you are barbaric Nubian, Berbers, Arab, Greek or Roman conquerer - you want not fancy pyramides, you want those farmers to keep growing food on this great Kemetic soil - so you can control it. Some look Iranian or Turkish, others Korean or Mongolian, still others could be considered to resemble northern Europeans or Indians - most are a mix of all of the above, and all consider themselves Kazakh. @@Egyptwasblack then why are black Africans designated as Sub-Saharan if they're all these places except below the fucking Sahara?
The main difference is that you post from an intellectual perspective, to inform people looking for knowledge. They generally post from a socially political perspective to gain followers looking for validation...
How so? The present well documented facts. That have yet to be rebuttaled.
So you have proof ancient Egypt was a white European civilisation???

I had a room mate who called himself "Pharaoh". One of my best friends, actually. He once told me he traced his lineage back to Pharaoh Akhenaten. I only called him out on that because he previously told me he didnt know his fathers name. 😭😆
Facts
When in doubt, make it up!
Fake it til you make it.
From what I know about tracking genealogies, it's nearly impossible to track one's lineage before the 1300s because birth certificates weren't a thing back then (among other factors).
@@Pirate_Knight27 Birth certificates weren't really "a thing" up until the last century. My grandparents (all of them, born in Europe and the U.S.) didn't get a birth certificate until everyone "had to" have one for travel/immigration. By that time they were adults. This was only 70 years ago. Usually, you trace your ancestors from town/village/city records. Not birth certificates.
YOU are the noble one! I am an Egyptian and I applaud you! Thank you for being fair and honest. We need more people like you defending history and checkmating those cultural vultures.
Blessings to you, from the one who may have coined the term, “culture vulture”. 🥰🥰🥰
Metarton has check mated no-one. He actually just ignored all of the proof of a black African origin ua-cam.com/video/gXkOq6_eDPc/v-deo.html

You’re spot on with your research and tone in presenting your material on Ancient Egypt. I have never felt , seen or heard even an iota of denigration towards Africa, Africans, or ‘black’ people in your content. There is an enormous anti-European anti-‘white’ sentiment expressed by any number of those particular, and similar creators- and in the culture at large. Each civilisation has merits and demerits. It often seems as though the depth of their research into primary and secondary source material is shallow, and neither academic, nor wide ranging enough in their knowledge. They lack a grasp of the subjects in their deeper contexts, often seeming to have a very strange understanding of history. They have a weak grasp on academic argumentation, e.g. endless strawmen and ad hominem attacks. You are very generous in your response and invitation to collaborate. I would be glad to be proven wrong, but I doubt they will take you up on the offer.
Dr. Rebecca Futco Kennedy disproved Metetron and many others. You have a confirmation bias on this subject.

This is utterly dishonest unless Cleitus was described as an Ethiopian in appearance, in the same way the Egyptians were.
