Ripper Grippers - Titanal skis on icy slopes

Our first day back to Kirkwood this season puts the hard in hard pack day - but for Chris, this was just what he wanted: the perfect opportunity to try out his new Armada Declivity 92ti skis. I brought mine, and Chris proves just how much faster he truly is than I am when we are on equal equipment.
With much of the mountain still not open, Kirkwood reserved the upper mountain for the expert skiers who don't mind steep icy moguls, and we mostly stuck to the intermediate trails we know and love. We just did them fast.

Yeah it was unusually icy for Kirkwood. Even when Kirkwood should be icy, it is often not.

Drop into a carve. Use those full edges and the ice becomes your friend!

That is exactly what we are going for! We just need to work on getting up our edge angles. The Declivity 92ti really gives you confidence when you get it on edge.
