Most recently he has provided the music for Tim Burton’s Dumbo and The Grinch.
Danny also wrote the theme music for The Simpsons as well as the series Desperate Housewives and Tales from the Crypt. He has become one of the most profound music composers on the planet and owns one of the most sought after movie film composers in America.

I was looking for the new danny elfman music he made recently and found this. I am now 5 minutes in and invested
Would you recommend this Masterclass to composers who are mainly in the Rock / Pop / Electronic world as well...or is this so focused on film scoring that it becomes too irrelevant? It seems that at least a few of the lessons could be applied to any type of music composer / writer and Danny was in Oingo Boingo, so I am wondering if there will be enough there for me to "chew on".
His mindset and methodology will help you for sure. Have a look at the lesson plan and see if it's relevant for you though. All the best.
