With nothing new this update, I figured this would be a good time to make a little tutorial on top tier and talk about some good habits to get into.

If there's one good thing to come out of this update, the new Rocky Canyon map is a stellar map for top tier jets. Playing that map in the F-4j was a blast compared to the usual tiny furball maps.
I like the map, but I just wish it wouldn’t keep appearing at prop tier for some reason
Great map, not so much fun in an f5 or any other ‘slow’ planes
how planes that turn like a brick? (A5C for example at mach 1)
I like how R-3Rs are not even counted as missiles at top tier
I use them in simulator because some planes don't have rwr and chaff.
Are they really that bad?
@@zanzao-1ps318 they only fly mach 1.7 and not even throughout their entire flight time. They pull only 10g and have to be guided the entire time via radar or they lose lock. They are really that bad.
good for headons or using gravity
I genuinely feel that the addition of the Finns to the Swedish tree is great! It really rounds out the tree and gives it a lot more range. Yeah, it's a copy paste, but I think it's good for sweden overall :)
*That's actually a really good point, that the Mig-21Bis is a very good plane for learning and getting better at Top-Tier*
I got this plane (Russian) when it was meta and had a very good time with it, to a point where I bought a talisman for this plane.
Fast forward ~a year and I revisit this plane to catch up with the Russian air-TT, mainly getting the 2 Mig-23s and the meta has changed massivly to a point where the Bis went from being The Best to a mediocre aircraft and grinding with it, having to relearn the game a bit, turned me into an acceptable pilot.
It teaches you how to keep your energy, when and how to pick your fights and also how to effectivly dodge missiles.
as a swede, I appreciate the 'copy paste' Finland vehicles. wish they add the swedish bmp1 too :)

Swedish BMP-1s would be quite useless, sure they operated 500 BMP-1's BUT the swedish modernization didnt have ATGM's. Finnish BMP-1P would be better addition to the swedish tree tbh.

This may sound stupid but what I got from this is fly it like a J35D but with RWR and flares. Keep your speed and look around almost most of the times

i love the mig 21, it’s a much better missle bus and support fighter than dogfighter imo, and that’s how i fly it

One thing I like about playing the Mig-21: as soon as you latch onto someone else's tail, there is nothing they can do. Only a third party can save them...

I am a Finn, and I really, really hoped for better. I wanted finland to be a subtree ever since Sweden was added, and I was hoping for some interesting additions, like the Gnat, or the finnish draken variant. Instead the only "unique" plane we got is the down gunned fokker.
I’m honestly really hyped for more Draken variants. They’re pretty sweet looking jets!
I heard the finns upgraded their J35s to have flares/chaff and RWR
If we got that it be so fucking happy because I'm a sucker for the J35D and sadly the lack or RWR really sets it for failure at 10.7 (where you frequently get uptiered to 11.0/11.3

This update isnt over, its a two part update. Part 2 is coming out in a months time from when this update launched, so expect to see it end of November early Dec. And to be honest, I like the update. TOR M1 is insanely cool, SEP is also cool, 2S38 is toxic cancer shit, everything else is okay. The Finnish sub tree is something we probably didn't need and I agree its copy paste to the highest degree but BT-42 is cool and it adds another thing to a Swedish lineup which, suffered. Sweden is op, but their lineups really suffered from a lack of vehicles. The new tree helps with that especially for the higher br's.

@@SeekerHead Well gaijin said that fire and ice is the first of a two part end of the year update. Do with that what you will, I just think the second pat of the update will be more finnish vehicles hence part two lmao

My biggest problem with this thing is that they didn't even bother with translating the texts to finnish, which was a thing on the real thing. Couldn't have taken more than a few hours. Didn't give it an ecm/cm pod like the real deal. (once again, all mig21bis planes in museums have that pod) and didn't bother giving it bombs that the real thing once again, had.

how do you make the a-10 late appear as A-10A [L]? I see it in rounds just as A-10A
I use a custom lang pack. you have to edit your files so if you’re on console you cannot do this.

yes there is a bunch of chinese and russian missiles that are immune to chaff and flaires, so even if you know and flaire them you are boned....specialy when you are flying F-14 which is ridiculous. Look, you are giving good but very basic adviced that really won't work at all, cos all your team will just jump right into the combat and die like idiots they are, so long and wide circles without dogfight won't work cos you will get jumped by whole enemy team at you ass
russian and chinese missiles are actually the most flarable. your problem is you’re flying the f-14, it can’t flare shit rear aspect launch.
literally skill issue lmao russian and chinese missiles are the most susceptible to flares. Skill issues with F14 players aren't surprising since they need the crutch of blatantly overpowered missiles to play
