Elena and Will here! We were *blown away* by what Team AG did with our space! The couch and the chairs are so comfy and the colours in the rug are perfect. All of our friends keep asking where they can get our room divider from, it's definitely a showstopper 😎 (also... @ Editor James, no, we are *not* ok after reading that book)
A Graham would be lovely, but I need an Amanda in my life even more. How good would it be to have someone managing all the messy stuff we have to deal with! And an Alana to make everything more fun. Actually- all the team! I’m glad more team members are being highlighted.
The homeowner opened their eyes and you would thik that is the first thing they would notice becuase it literally was not there before and they totally missed it!!!😂
Kudos to Graham for the room divider. I'm sure it took up a lot of time to make, but the end result is amazing. Another one-of-a-kind item skillfully made by Graham!
Graham blows it out of the park again with his master woodworking skills! 😮 Your team has so much talent! Thank you for sharing another amazing makeover, Alexandra! 👏👏
Yes, graham totally stepped it up with that divider! Also, can we have a little appreciation moment for James’s sass with the editing?!? All the hearts for you James!❤
Looooove it. Only thing I would have done differently is push the divider a bit further back so it lined up with that corner wall in the living room, since the chair is just against it anyway - I don't like super tight entryways personally. The divider is so nice
Just a heads up if anyone wants the ruggable rug if you are by yourself it is easier to roll the rug (pattern inside)up and place on the rug mat by unrolling it just match edges first! For the larger rigs you can fold the rolled up rug in half first to get placement right before unrolling it!
Hey Team AG, I am loving your style evolution over the years. You are all so talented :) I wanted to share a constructive criticism or observation. I found this space looked quite good in the "before" clips. I would love to see some makeovers helping young families, low income students or workers, an elder, or someone with a chronic illness. Really, any demographic of people that a home makeover would help them in a time of great need. (Not to say that this makeover did not help people!) Again, I love what you do and how you're all growing.
I've never heard of the Emma house either🤷🏼♀️ Love Graham's talent & he's so humble. Fabulous vision on this interpretation to Ms. Alexandra 🎉 Team AG 👏 🙌 ❤ awesome video!!!
@Jessica Lopez AD is Architectural Digest. It was a print magazine, maybe still is, that showcases celebrity homes and other gazillion dollar properties. They have their own UA-cam channel as well I believe.
@@user-ed7et3pb4o yeah, the weekly videos are missed! I try to see it like she’s a busy woman (promoting her new book, making over spaces, taking on bigger projects, etc.), so the videos we do get are of quality content. Plus, ya gotta have that work/life balance so I can appreciate that she’s got a life to live outside of these videos.
I say it every time but I think this one is my favorite! (Okay, James living room is still #1!) But this room was everything! The colors are luscious and the furniture is perfection! Well done Team AG! 🎉🥂🍾
The room looks twice as large, because everything is in its place, including the stunning room divider, and everything is beautiful. Great job, team AG!
Good morning everyone! Can't wait to have a cup of coffee and watch Alexandra and her gang knock another room out of the park! I mean seriously, she just gets better and better each room.
What a nice way to start my viewing day. The transformation was beautiful. After trying to figure out how to do a frame for some tables l wanted to stack l am thinking carpentry is an amazing skill. I am also thinking that Graham is a genius. He just puts together these incredible pieces as though it's something simple. It's not.
Alexandra, what a spectacular job. Your ability to marry someone's decor with your client's taste and your talents is awe-inspiring. Love watching you create.
The room divider/shoe cabinet was simply ingenious!! Aside from the sofa/chairs, I love the wavy mirror, light fixture & how you kept what was already working in their living room - blown away as usual!
Okay, this is a channeling funny. I am a psychic and hear voices. Generally, the voice of my spirit guide, but really, it's just anybody in spirit. So, as I'm watching the interview, Alexandra is having with Elena. The part I'm referring to is at 4:13 in the video, where Elena talks about how she admires the style Emma Chamberlain has in her house. Alexandra has just agreed and said something about not wanting to be in a museum as if it were the house of a more mature person. I'm sitting here at 68 years old, chuckling and wondering what my style might be. One of the folks in spirit I channel suggested a store room. Maybe you had to be here, but I thought it was funny. I guess I need to start putting things away. 😃 I loved the makeover. Alexandra, you and your team hit it out of the park once again.
Wow, the 'before' of this is like...what I wish my space looked like, lol. I haven't seen the episode yet, so I'm sure the space is even more gorgeous than I can fathom.
If I ever got a makeover from Alexandra, I’m not sure I’d want to leave my house; not because I don’t trust her but because I want to hang out with Alexandra and her team! Seriously, y’all are so much fun every video!
This space turned out great, but as a big board game fan I gotta say that the coffee table is a terrible choice lol. There's just not enough room for everyone to spread out. It's so hard to find statement coffee tables that also function well for game nights!
It's also too low and the curves are very wide, making the surface area of the table smaller in diameter. I thought the table that the couple already had was better.
The home owner even said she was in love with wood. This table is too plastic and sterile for this homey space. A similarly shaped coffee table in wood would fit in much better.
That just worked so well. The room divider was the coolest thing (and could be repurposed as a wine rack in its next incarnation). It would have been fun to draw the eye toward the window -- perhaps by painting its frame the green or another fun color.
I hope there is a project coming using the holes cut out from the room divider..... I think the shelves over the TV would look cool I'm green for a little hint of colour there
I am blown away by this makeover! It genuinely looks like a completely different room! It’s so warm and cozy and fun. That divider to create the hallway, that’s just magic! I really think that you guys are just getting better and better and better as a team!
Agreed about the coffee table being too small for game nights. Most gamers I know game around a large dining room table. This one is way too small. Might work with two of them. Otherwise they will need some sort of fold up table at the right height to make this work. Also, they didn’t replace the hooks on the wall with enough hooks!
This is one of my favorite makeovers! I’m saving it as inspo for my own home. (I’m also planning a version of Graham’s genius room divider.) I could really feel how much the homeowners loved it. I thought it must’ve been such a huge boost to hear them say they can’t wait to watch the behind-the-scenes. (Editor James- you’re one of my favorite parts of these videos, btw. 😁)
I think I have LOVED EVERY CEILING installation you’ve done: the 3-wicker ones in the basement, the bookcase bed end, the green room divider and this one have all been just STUNNING! I’m going to say this weird, but here is why I think I love them - they give everyone a momentary transition that is mentally relaxing. I’ve only had one of these outside. We used to have a compost and a backyard with a trellis-wall divider. If an animal was at the compost and we came outside, the peekaboo wall gave them and us a chance to get used to each other before anyone moved - raccoons, bears, birds, etc. In the 50’s, I remember these entryways being all the rage. Thank you for reminding everyone how wonderful they are. I adore you guys and the “Standby” screens are such a HOOT! I can’t wait to see everything this years.
You outdid yourself, really a beautiful space, and that room divider takes it up to another level. I’ve been watching for a while now, and there is something magical happening here with your creativity and your team and their creativity as well. Everyone seems to be in sync from start to finish of the process of creating these videos. Well done.
the entry way room divider and shoe cabinet + the couch and pillows are just .... everything! this was so well put together, i am so impressed, because this is not usually a style i would personally like, but this is just so cohesive and just so pretty !
Very nice AD replicated makeover ideas for this space. I particularly liked the orange sofa and pillows; plus that shoe cabinet/divider in the entryway.
this turned out so amazing!! I love how you take regular apartments and turn them into gorgeous magazine worthy spaces...it feels way more realistic than renovating an entire home or buying a fancy place!
Amazing! That room divider/shoe holders/design element....wow. Graham, I can't wait to see what you will build, everytime and you always knock it out of the park. I adore that sofa and everything came together so beautifully.
This is a fabulous makeover! Love all of the plant choices, the green planter on the shelf that matches the wall color of the entrance, the shape and length of the sofa . . . and the room divider is so cool and really changes the whole space for the better. No more cluttered look by the door! Side tables with poofs below -- chef's kiss. If the space was mine, I would probably move the picture on the right down a little bit so it was more in line with the mirror on the other side of the sofa, but that is just me; I'm sure there is a good reason for how you placed it. Congrats on nailing down Emma's style on your first try. Edit: P.S. I forgot to say how much I LOVE the hanging lamps.
Alexandra you are literally the cutest. I watched your face when they opened their eyes and ears can tell you really love turning people's space into something they love. ❤ Love this makeover 🎉🥰
This looks great. It's not my style but it's still lovely to look at. The room divider really is a stand out. I'm glad that you left some of their things because it really does show that you can work with what you have even if you are making a big change. The only thing I'm not loving is the coffee table. It looks nice in the space but it doesn't look big enough for game boards. I also have to say that I love that you show us the questions you ask at the beginning of the video. It's good to know these when you are thinking of changing up your own space.
That room divider is *something*. I gasped when it was put in place. Also, Alexandra - I love love love your sweater from the reveal day! 🥺 and the side tables + stool are brilliant.
I have been looking for a new rug for my living room, and the rug you chose for this makeover is absolute perfection! My walls are painted a deep burnt orange, and I have a lot of bamboo & gold accents in my furniture. You found me the perfect rug, thank you so much! This makeover was also absolute perfection! I love everything you chose for the space. Great job team AG! xo
Would LOVE to see you tackle Kirsten Dunst’s style! Check out her AD episode. So much inspiration there. Once again, well done Team AG! Another fantastic space 🎉
Nice. One of your best designs. Graham did such a great job on that entry divider/shoe rack. I'm not a fan of orange for my own space, but it looks great there. And that pendant that replaced the ceiling fan; what a fantastic find. Good job team
Getting inspo for the exact same issue in my entryway/living room combo. The room divider is incredible!! I had a hard time visualizing the space-where the entry was in relation to the sofa, where the tv wall was, etc. Have you ever considered showing a quick floor plan sketch at the start of the video? That would’ve been so helpful! Love the video as always ❤ you have helped me design my entire home!
I have watched MANY of these videos. You have inspired me to freshen up my own space. Alexandra you have a beautiful sense of creativity and your team is quintessential. I am floored by Graham's skills. Take heed young folks.....carpentry is a wonderful and valuable skill. I read lots of the comments on the videos and I too would have moved the divider to line up to the wall. End result...happy client.
That entryway divider is incredible! Perfection! Love the Article sofa, the washable Ruggable rug and the woven tulip lamps especially! Well done Team AG!
OMG you guys ,that was amazing. It’s not my style but after you put it all together, I could live with that. It was just gorgeous. You guys have amazing ideas. And are so talented. Thanks for sharing.
Always wanted to build a room divider like the one you and Graham did. I'm glad I procrastinated because the room divider is so classy. Thanks for posting all these helpful hints
Elena and Will here! We were *blown away* by what Team AG did with our space! The couch and the chairs are so comfy and the colours in the rug are perfect. All of our friends keep asking where they can get our room divider from, it's definitely a showstopper 😎

How did you like the extra seating under the end tables ? I just loved them for your game nights !

We love you guys!!!! And so glad you love it!
How did you like the shoe cabinet?

What a game change
I want to see a series of how your clients added and kept up with the new home designs, like 'where they are now?'. Love this!
That is such a brilliant and shared idea. Because I use to love to watch hgtv house hunters where are they now.
Love this idea!
I went looking at the Bachelor in Paradise couple… they looked like they kept a lot of it… changed out the sofa.
I was thinking the same thing!
this!
I think I need a Graham. I think we all need a Graham.
Gorgeous room
Definitely 💯 😊
I second the motion !!
Yes!!! Graham is AMAZING 🤩

I feel like if I had a Graham for a day or two my run down old house would look 50x better
That divider is everything! Well done, Graham! Love the design of the entire room as well. Great choice in furniture, AG!
Wow! Love the entire space!
This divider is a work of art! Absolutely amazing!
Lol literally came to the comments to say that divider is everything

Yes, graham totally stepped it up with that divider!

I know! I love that we got to “meet” him through his own makeover and now see his personality in the editing!!
I miss seeing him in videos!
Graham needs to open up his own store where he sells these amazing one of a kind pieces he creates!
Graham killed it with that divider!!
What is Grahams training? Would love to see a conversation about that!
Looooove it. Only thing I would have done differently is push the divider a bit further back so it lined up with that corner wall in the living room, since the chair is just against it anyway - I don't like super tight entryways personally. The divider is so nice
I was thinking the same thing. I would rather have a roomier entryway than that corner in the living space.
Just a heads up if anyone wants the ruggable rug if you are by yourself it is easier to roll the rug (pattern inside)up and place on the rug mat by unrolling it just match edges first! For the larger rigs you can fold the rolled up rug in half first to get placement right before unrolling it!
I agree with Graham to paint the alcove green but the divider and shoe storage is EVERYTHING. That couch color is perfect. Great job.

OBSESSED with the room divider !! Good job Graham and Team AG
The room divider is AWESOME. Really crested the separate entryway that the room needed.
I feel like I'm watching twins playing tricks with my mind. Great job with this beautiful makeover.
That divider is giving me life!! Also, PLEASE do a Kirsten Dunst style room!
I think this is my favorite AG transformation of all time. The furniture is absolutely stunning and the room divider changed EVERYTHING. Amazing!!!!
Graham I also thought... before you said it...i wonder if that green would look good on the recessed TV area!
Great job as usual AG team
Always wanted to build a room divider like the one you and Graham did. I'm glad I procrastinated because the room divider is so classy. Thanks for posting all these helpful hints
