The layout change for this truly truly made all the difference! Using the sofa to divide the living area and the work area was genius, it made the rooms look separate even though it’s all 1 giant room. This was beautiful!

Ok, moving the bookcase and adding arch was so worth it! Love the hidden kitty litter box hacks. Made my Saturday!
one thing I'd change about the shelves is taking part above the arch cut out all the way up to the ceiling to make them look like a part of the room's architecture

Funny thing: most scandi homes aren’t the monochrome white-beige that the internet calls “scandi”, they’re wayyy closer to this 😊 either pastels or strong colours evenly spread out across the typical simple Scandinavian silhouette
This is one of my favorite reveals. Not my personal style, but you really accomplished what you set out to, and the client seemed so happy. Thanks for brightening the internet week after week!

Sadly my phone's screen doesn't see the soft color variations; but AM Going to be rewatching it on My TV; Hopefully the TV picks it up otherwise 😭 Am so sad about that ,as it's an absolutely beautifully planned out space-wise 💝 so well planned out !! Side note: when storing records, place them vertically instead of horizontally, since this can cause them to warp and get damaged

That was a great change. The furniture placement really delineated each space perfectly. I love the fresh color choices and I especially appreciate that the cat litter boxes were hidden in a pretty cabinet.

Putting the cords/router in a basket is a legit hack. Ya know, like tucking a light cord behind the curtain. "This beautiful Ikea lamp...." 🤣😂🤣
I don't care for pastels personally but this... I loved everything about this it's just beautiful it's one of my favorites! I think I say that every episode though.
I agree. The colour scheme looks lovely, even though I'm not a pink/pastel person myself. And the layout change works so well.
You know it's a great result when you say "Oh I don't like that style" and in the end you're like... "hmmm maybe I DO like that style." :)
The arch has me through a loop, I can just imagine in a cosy, warm room with burnt terracotta and sandy desert tones 😍

I’ve seen a lot of comments about Graham doing a lot of work… it got me thinking… well, graham doesn’t do the actual design of the space BUT maybe he’d be good at it? It would be really interesting to see a video where EACH team AG member goes through how they would design the same blank space (if it were for themselves). I’m thinking a digital space, maybe mood boards. I think it would be cool to see everyone’s style… and maybe not everyone is great at the designing aspect, but I’m sure they’ve all learned a lot from being on the team.

What a beautiful space! I've never seen this style before, but I love it. I would like to see it in my bedroom. Love the soft colors, the furniture, and especially what you did to the to bookcases. Those arches (and Graham) are genius! Furniture placement is everything, and you did an amazing job! Tamra now has a beautiful place to call home!
First of all - Graham is the best. I need a Graham to help me with my projects and patiently teach me how to do stuff. Second- this has to be my absolute favourite makeover ever. So beautiful.

This is lovely and the team did a wonderful job as per usual. As a teacher though, I'd have loved a much longer desk put behind the couch so when I had non thinking tasks to do (like cutting prep for an activity etc) I could watch TV at the same time. If the longer desk could also have 3 horizontal drawers to hold stuff we teachers need at home for marking and prep that would be icing on the cake. Then the cat box could be moved to where the desk is now, as would not want poop smells coming up from behind my couch while I am relaxing or entertaining. Kitty poop being near the window makes more sense and their climbing trees could have been recovered in skandi pastels too, with maybe a big rattan flat chest under the window for their beds and toys. Kitties do love a sun bath.

So many things to love about this one. The arches. The chairs. The painted dresser. The cat hack. I'm not a huge fan of the boucle trend, but that sofa and styling is beautiful.

I have been weeks trying to design a quilt around a gorgeous fabric that has that same pink. I have been looking in all the wrong places. I thought it was Japanese, but clearly it is a Pastel Japanese Scandi. I just switched the pattern to curves.

Wow! I absolutely love this one. I could live here so happily and that is high praise. There are so many details, like the special environment (litter cabinet) for the cats that make it special.
What stands out for me on these videos, on top of the design, are lessons on HOW-TO create some of the magic.

Looks lovely..2 things...#1...always put a holder under candles, or there will be wax stains on the furniture, plus if candle burns thru to a wooden surface, it is a fire hazard...#2...Cat boxes smell..no matter how often they are cleaned.
Find a place in a laundry room, back entry area, but away from the living areas....😮

This is one of my favorite make overs. The bookcases and the lay out change were perfect.
Love the make-over, looks great ! But I am always worried about the litter-box hack... my cat would never ever go in such a small and low space to do his business :D
I don't think mine would either. It also didn't seem like the cat doors would open once the litter boxes were inside but I guess there was enough room. 🤷🏻♀️
And that sofa is going to absorb all the smells coming out of that vent!
She will have to see how the cats react. Some are easygoing about that stuff, some not so much. Hopefully they like it!
Very impractical. The whole hidden cat box project will be a waste of time if the cats end up using a space of their choosing rather than awkwardly climbing into a dark enclosed space. Has she tried this "solution" on any other cats?
I love the Persian rug. It adds a touch of the exotic to the otherwise very sterile looking room. I love the colors and how they add liveliness to the space. To my eye, the white/gray you went with is too small for the space and too plain to make the area cozy.
I agree. Keeping the "Persian" rug would have broken up all of the solid colors and added more subjective texture.

I swear I had that same south-facing apt in Vancouver in the 90s! There was an old mid-century Kelvinator fridge that sounded like an old Chevy and did a fine job of heating the entire space. We had a dressing room, but no bedroom. It was the first time I'd seen the seasons change in ages and there was such a pretty view out of those gigantic windows. It was my second-ever apt and I loved it sooo much. And when I was sick I almost burned the place down while I was on the toilet. Ah, memories.
