Hey, i noticed your using custom ingame SFX (atleast for the missiles) and was wondering where you found the audio clips. Ive always felt the FTD weapons and damage effects are a bit week
I am not at home rn but the mods are on the workshop, I’ll post the name of them when I get home!
The two sound mods I use are Better Cram SFX and Better Ballistics. They are both on the steam workshop!

Just got into FtD today, but MAN it is complex as all hell... throughout all of today, 10 hours or so, i barely got a halfway controllable "ship" (more cube than ship xD) and like the weakest of the weak enemies blew it to bits within seconds xD
I promise I will eventually make a guide to a starter ship!!
yeah well now you just have to learn all the weapons, engines, maybe even 3 stage fuel engines, armoring effectively and all the ammo types for all the weapons. lets put it this way currently im 150h into my newest battlecruiser and its not even anywhere close to being done
I’d definitely recommend trying to design a functional craft in the land mode before the water because it’s so much simpler and better for learning the basics. Currently about to beat the Ashes of the Empire campaign with only vehicles I’ve built myself and it’s taught me more about the fundamentals of the game than failing to design a functional boat ever could.

Damn, adventure mode is almost impossible to get started. I've made a ton of vehicles, and yet i cannot survive past two enemies in it. Update: I've made it to difficulty 20 with a Larger vessel, yet to get past two enemies with my plane build.
I watched your hole series up to this point in one go and god damn, I haven't seen a nice campaign playthrough like this. Very nice balanced and it really motivates myself to try out the campaign (was just building stuff and learning) . I really look forward to your upcoming videos, please don't put too much pressure on yourself and keep the pirate music, I love it ❤ happy hunting

Why do people do Hull numbers wrong like it's not a Big Deal, but DE would be the Ship Type, followed by an Increasing Number, Name, then maybe if wanna be extra the. class. Ie. DDG-01 SNS Arliegh Burke - Arliegh Burke Class Destroyer Ie 2. DDG-02 SNS Victrix - Arliegh Burke Class Destroyer Then DDG-03, 04, ETC ETC
I don’t follow USN naming scheme or use bull numbers at all. I number the class so when I look at ships in the strategic map I can quickly tell what what class ship it is. I debated on whether to do hull numbers or not be decided not to because naming all the ships is already too much work lmfao. Sorry i should make a video better explain my schemes. I pinned this so hopefully more people can see my reasoning.

Bruh I was at over 1000 hours before my ships looked that good. It was an additional 6000 before they worked that good
@littletimelord2755 you older players paved the way for us though with heaps of online tutorials and contributing to the massive public pool of knowledge we have now. Starting to see players with 100 hours venture into campaign already, which I think is really healthy for the game.
For reference, I have around 500 hours, but that's split 50/50 between getting back into the game recently, and pre-2019. So much quicker to learn the game this time around.
