As a Namibian in Africa I like to see fellow brothers go through the experience that is Tool. Please do the 7empest next, it's quite long but worth it.
@@ohioagainsttheworld5453 Hahaha.. funny story, I got introduced to Tool one day whilst in India (on Lucy) at a cafe where the Beatles once visted. I'll never forget that day; my life changed, I think I went through every possible emotion I could have felt at the time. Been a big fan since and I'm trying to convert a few metal heads here too.
I've been watching a lot of black reactors to Tool recently. They all find that not only is Tool an amazing band, but boosts their numbers like crazy. I think in about five years you're going to see some interesting Tool-inspired black-led bands because of this. It's all thanks to Lost in Vegas.
Three other responders have recommended it too. Let me now be the fifth (including OP). That's a fantastic video... and the most impressive and technically difficult part of that song is actually the part that sounds the least complicated and mellow to the ear (at least to me).
I think I started going down this Tool rabbit hole sometime last year so there are some Tool songs that I have never heard yet so having said that I think this is the first time I've ever heard this one. I'm certainly glad to see that you're taking a trip down this rabbit hole though Spiral Out 🤘🤘
You're a lucky person. Please make sure you do lyric videos or have them available. I wish I could go back and experience some Tool songs for the first time. Enjoy
Love Tool! I subscribed just because I loved that you gave the song a chance given that it is pretty long. But also that you instantly saw the raw talent and genius behind their music on the first listen. 👊
You really have to start at the beginning of the sound that is TooL to understand. Their development as a band has progressed to the point of these longer songs to make a point of expression. Welcome to what is the music created by TooL.
I mentioned Ticks and Leeches on another one of your videos as a great workout song, and I'm sure a number of other people also mentioned The Grudge or Intolerance (both great also). One that I don't think you'll hear often that I happen to lean on is Triad. It's an instrumental, and it's technically the third song in a triple piece Disposition/Reflection/Triad. It's a great trio to experience together, but if you're just looking for workout music then Triad is excellent. I honestly think it's the greatest piece of music for an athlete or a team to use as an entry song. The first 2 minutes are just a pulsing build to an explosion at the 2:54 mark. When I listen to it I get this feeling like I'm back playing high school football and getting ready to run through the banner onto the field for the first 2 minutes, and then just tearing right through at 2:54 - or the feeling of setting up for the opening kickoff and then the kickoff occurs right at 2:54. I also use Disposition and Reflection in my workouts but as cool down and stretching songs. They're more meditative songs that get me into a more mellow and reflective head space.
Any song by Tool gets better everytime you listen to it. Especially from this album songs like this one, Descending and Pneuma are literal gifts from the music Gods. I'm digging the reactions man keep it up! All the way from hick town central ky.
I love Tool (and Perfect Circle) these I listened to as albums; straight though. Wonderful experience, glad to see you experience this. Something primal, deep. I wonder how being filmed changes the experience, I'd look crazed really transported - I gotta close my eyes. Legit I watch ur music vids a my eyes closed then listen to what you thought but not often how you looked during.
Hello again, it’s Mr. Invincible 💪. Thank you so much for reacting to Invincible and including me. This request comes from a different direction. You mention you like to add music to your dining experience. I wish more would do that. I wanted to mention an artist/band named Portishead. And my request is for you to look up the album called Dummy. It’s a hidden treasure. Now I’m pretty sure if you react to something off that album, people will be overjoyed. If you’re not looking for that kind of exposure, then just take some time and enjoy for yourself.
When maynard comes back in and sings... Control, your delusion Insane and striking at random Victim of your certainty, and therefore your doubt's not an option. It blast me off to the interdimentional area where the beings that alex jones talks about.
I don't think you should look at these songs as "challenging" each other. Just enjoy each song differently they were meant to be! Loving the reactions my man, keep spiraling!
I’m going to guess 10:00 in and you’ve already figuring out the complexities of this song. It’s like 5 songs merged into one. And isn’t it amazing how little the vocalist felt he needed to be in the song. He just lets them play
I almost recommend going backwards with tool This album is relatively user-friendly normally I would absolutely agree and enjoy introducing myself to albums and bands chronologically but tool is special
@@danisyx5804 disagree...Their new music is full of time changes and syncopations so many can't tolerate until they see the light per say. Their early music, while more intense was mostly in familiar time signatures with minimal transitions. Just my opinion...
Welcome to the tool shed mane lol if im being honest workin out definitely turned me onto metal more than i thought id like it. But anyways i envy for getting to experience the tool rabbit hole for the first time. You can meditate and work out with tool. If your still just starting out with tool then i suggest, Vicarious or Stinkfist.
Please check out Lateralus, Parabol/Parabola, Schism, Right in Two, Forty Six and Two, the Grudge, Pneuma, Sober, the list goes on and on for tool. You need to check them all out, they will not let you down.
Enjoy watching your reactions. If you're really enjoying the bass work of this band it pretty safe to say you'll enjoy the song "Schism" by tool..the beat will really throw you off at first...just really different (It's TOOL!).
Hmmm... 46&2 is a great song with a driving beat and intensity that would seem to go right along with your workout song search. Since you're digging Tool, it's def one of their best.
Just some tips for some killer workout songs: Black Sabbath - Supernaut Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Black Sabbath - I Bascially a shit ton of Black Sabbath...
Its another long one but you MUST do the Danny Cary drum cam by Vick Firth. The best drummer in the world on the coolest set in the world at the top of his game!! And.. You're welcome.. Peace from an old schooler Tool fan!
You got to start checking out Rage Against The Machine. I have a workout list that consist of only Tool and Rage Against the Machine. My go to songs are "Wake Up" Down Rodeo" "Guerrilla Radio"" Freedom" and" Bullet in the head" among others. If you want to get angry while workout try this Asap, you wont be disappointed!!
Tool is my all time favorite band, but if you want good workout music, it doesn't get much better than Gojira. They're heavy, but their music is talented and meaningful (I recommend lyrics videos). Start with "Born in Winter" and "Low Lands" to get you warmed up for them, then move on to "Silvera", "Stranded", "Mouth of Kala", "Flying Whales", "From Mars" into "To Sirius", and then finally graduate to "From the Sky", "The Heaviest Matter of the Universe", "Wolf Down the Earth", and "The Art of Dying". If you can't lift a small bus over your head by the time you're done, there's something wrong. ;-)
PongGod It’s hard to pick a favourite song from this album. I switch all the time myself. Lately it’s been Fear Inoculum. I think that’s song gets less recognition because it was released well before the album
I didn't like this album, and this was one of the songs i liked the least, along with descending, both they performed live before releasing the album. And now those two are probably the ones I I've listened to the most. Guess Maynard's music too is like wine, gotta have patience and give it time so it gets better :p
@@Killspec same thing happened to me with this album and the 10,000 days album. At first I wasn't digging it but after a while it just grew on me and now I feel like this album is just as good as their past work

Rush is my only comparison to Tool.
So much intellect and talents mixed together.
I appreciate listening :)
Truth if there ever was one. Rush is the best ever in my book.
Musicians listen to RUSH
Tool is kind of a natural progression of what Rush was for the next generation.
EXCELLENT song!!! I hope you become a Tool Fan.
Parabol / Parabola , you will thank me later.

Devin is in his own world though. Give anything from him a go and you'll be hooked.
