You don't need to write "sudo reboot" or unplug/plug, you just need to choose "ssh command -> reboot distant" from universal xml scraper. Thanks for the video.

Maybe cover differences for 4.2, at least mentioning enabling SSH since it's off by default, or differences with the scraper like it asking you to register now, and how by default it doesn't have the 4img option and so forth> What you have here is awesome, and thanks again for it, and if nothing else, someone can definitely figure out the rest.

ETA PRIME, it should be worth noting, that using this tool wipes your favorites list. I had to learn this the hard way. This tool overwrites your gamelist.xml file, and that is where the favorite game info is stored.
Man.. I wish Amazon would hurry up and get me my order of SD cards so I can test all these various emulator setups. Going to try Recalbox, RetroPie, and Attract Mode. I've got a few cards right now testing out some Recalbox and Retropie stuff but have really only been tweaking emulator performance. Time to play around with Scrapers.
ETA, for Alien vs Predator, check that the ROM file has he proper nomenclature and re-scrape. I bet that will allow it to reach out and query the proper artwork.

Paul Constable fba is also a multiple arcade emulator, bios are only needed for certain arcade systems mainly neo geo. I'll. E making an explanation video this week.
Some things were a little different than from your video. For "Download Mix Template" I only had two options to choose from. I had to choose one and save the profile, then at main screen choose "Configuration->Download Mix Images Profil" to get the rest that you mention

I had it working but as soon as Kodi was configured as mentioed, XML stopped working and resorted back as if I had never used it. I hope this makes sense. Hey ETA, thanks for this! Quick question: If you interrupt the process and then run it again using the exact same settings, will anything get screwed up? I started scraping on a slowish computer and the hashing is taking forever (estimated 12 hours for around 500 arcade roms)... Contemplating cancelling out and starting over on a faster computer.
Having this issue when XML finishes, I go to my retropie and I see this error parsing xml file on retropie then I go to emulation station and I check the emulators and no artwork is there.
When I scrape SNES in XML the program tells me Files found: 14/14 Roms found 0/14. I can't seem to get it to apply the images even though it found the roms.
I scraped my MAME games and the interface looks much better. However, when I went to scrape Daphne, random text and words appeared (no image). It looks messy. Is there anyway I can remove the scrape I did for Daphne? Thanks so much for all of your videos and tutorials. They are amazing.

When I go into my XML scraper the only thing it shows is to scrape NES if I try to select my system I can't click on that and I can't click on scrape all of your system why can't I select other systems?

Thanks for the video I have been using the scraper for about a month now (since I first came across this video)and love the results. I have just updated to the latest version. The reason I wanted to update The scraper is it now it properly gives arcade game name info. I have a couple of questions I'm hoping you can help with? The Scraper no longer kills emulation station. I have to do this by pressing F4 to get back to the terminal on the pi's keyboard before scraping which is not ideal. I would like to use MIX 3 but without the Game name to the right. i.e just the screenshot with the game box to the left, is this possible? Any help much appreciated :)
I tried this and it has crashed my computer several times...usually gets hung up on the first or second game being scraped. I have downloaded the most recent version (2.2.0.2) and the previous version and both do the same thing. Are there any settings I should try on a windows 10 computer that you didn't go over in the video? thanks
I ran the scraper and saved directly to my USB like I do with ROMs. Is there something special I need to do to get these to transfer over or is it impossible to do through USB?
when I download the Universal XML Scraper Norton immediately deletes it determining that its unsafe. Now i'm afraid to turn Norton off and download and install it. Any advice?
How do you reset the gamelist files? I want to change the images used but everytime I scrape I end up with the same images even if I change it in the settings. (Recallbox 4)
Us My XML with a external HDD for some reason the images and videos go to my PI on the network but when I plug the HDD back into the PI the images are no where to be found. Now when I scrape from the PI I receive the basic images you would get. When I go back into my PI from the PC I can see the images I just scrapped PLUS he original images from XML. Why aren't my images from XML showing up on any of my ROMS

Also, somewhere I posted a comment saying how the author of the scraper pgm was pleading for his software to be accepted and for these AVs to stop giving these 'false positives'. When my subscription runs out, I'm thinking about just using w10's AV - I mean it will run for 20 minutes just to delete two cookies and I'm doing things or my pc is doing things (updating etc)! Norton doesn't even look for activity.
Is there a way for this tool to just add the box art? I don't really care for the extra bits. Other scraper tools don't seem to be working at the moment?

I have used this but I scraped the roms that were on my pc and put them on a set up usb what the pi plays the games from they didn't show up do I have to do it exactly the same as you did and can I still play from the usb
For some reason this is not at all working for me. I was able to transfer some roms from my PC to Pie earlier using your steps from your latest how to install and set up retropie. However, I decided to give this a try, but my PC is now not connecting to the pie at all. I had both hooked via ethernet, tried connecting the Pie via wifi and doing it that way too but still not working. My router for some reason on ethernet had an orange light when previously it was a white one (meaning it is working good) it is a Netgear Nighthawk AC1700. The thing is though, the Pie still has internet connectivity and I was able to do scraping from the Pie's menu itself. I tried multiple reboots and such and still isn't working, even with disabling all firewall protections (and using no proxies) any suggestions? Edit: for some derpy ass reason, using //RETROPIE and the IP didnt work, but I was able to access the retropie by just going to network and found it there, doh!
Sselph's scraper put image in your rom folder under the directory named "downloaded-image", it also put the gamelist.xml in the rom folder. So you need to delete both (gamelist.xml and downloaded-image)
I downloaded this program and scrapped my super nes games I have a little over 1000 games and it only scrapped about 200. I know it's not going to get them all but I feel like it should do better then that. Can u help me out?
Hey ETA PRIME I tried using this for my PSX roms, and it added an additional entry for every rom in the console list of emulation station. So now in my list i Have 2 of every game (40 for MK Trilogy) but only one launches the game. Could this be because of the .bin and .cue files used for psx? How to fix? Thanks

I did not do anything from usb but am doing it via ethernet and using a mac and cyberduck, but the configs folder is not present or tucked away in any of the folders showing via cyberduck. do u have any idea what could be the reason behind that? thanks for your help!
I copied the steps exactly, but mine doesn't say "Mix" on the main screen and "Change your mix imaged profil" is grayed out. Is there something I need to do for that?
HOLY HELL YES!!! This is amazing. And I can't believe it was so easy. My only problem is, it took 32 minutes to scrape 80 SNES games - but not complaining at all :). I currently have my list on the right and the art on the left, does anyone know how to switch this?
yeah, it's a nice tool but if you need faster scrapping times you need to donate at least 5 euros for an additional thread and if you donate 10 euros you get 5 threads. I am not sure if it's a recurring charge or a one time only one.
ETA PRIME actually I've just found out today about the universal scrapper from your channel because doing it manually on emulationstation is pretty frustrating to say the least and time consuming. By the way great video keep up the good work.
DO NOT USE THIS IF YOU'RE USING RETROPIE-MOUNT,(running roms from a usb stick) it bricked my retropie with kodi build. If that happens go into your usb stick and delete the metadata.. Update after dicking around with this finally got it to work without bricking my build but one problem I'm having is when it scraps psx games it add a srm file causing the games to show up twice...
can anyone help me out please I'm using 128GB Gold Community Pi Image i can scrap to pc and the Images are there in my pc configs but it does not show the .emulation station directory when using winscp I also scrap to my pie the Images are there in pie configs emulationstation downloaded_images amstradcpc but thay don't show up in retopie games list

Before scraping anything go to your retropie and exit emulation station then go ahead and start scraping

This takes longer to scrape than the built in one in the package folder. Over 3 hours to scrape 700 roms, the built in one takes 1 hour
No it doesn't. Donate 10 euros and you can up your threads from 1 to 6. I definitely recommend :)

Tyler Smith settings , displays select the displays you want to remove, scroll down to delete display

I did not do anything from usb but am doing it via ethernet and using a mac and cyberduck, but the configs folder is not present or tucked away in any of the folders showing via cyberduck.
do u have any idea what could be the reason behind that?

No the roms are stored in an EXT4 file system windows cannot see this partition without specific software installed.
do these artwork show up for attract mode too?
I copied the steps exactly, but mine doesn't say "Mix" on the main screen and "Change your mix imaged profil" is grayed out. Is there something I need to do for that?

HOLY HELL YES!!! This is amazing. And I can't believe it was so easy. My only problem is, it took 32 minutes to scrape 80 SNES games - but not complaining at all :). I currently have my list on the right and the art on the left, does anyone know how to switch this?
yeah, it's a nice tool but if you need faster scrapping times you need to donate at least 5 euros for an additional thread and if you donate 10 euros you get 5 threads. I am not sure if it's a recurring charge or a one time only one.
+Alfredo Canas this is a new feature. It was not like this when I made the video I actually didn't know about this until you mentioned it.
ETA PRIME actually I've just found out today about the universal scrapper from your channel because doing it manually on emulationstation is pretty frustrating to say the least and time consuming. By the way great video keep up the good work.
DO NOT USE THIS IF YOU'RE USING RETROPIE-MOUNT,(running roms from a usb stick) it bricked my retropie with kodi build. If that happens go into your usb stick and delete the metadata.. Update after dicking around with this finally got it to work without bricking my build but one problem I'm having is when it scraps psx games it add a srm file causing the games to show up twice...

can anyone help me out please I'm using 128GB Gold Community Pi Image i can scrap to pc and the Images are there in my pc configs but it does not show the .emulation station directory when using winscp I also scrap to my pie the Images are there in pie configs emulationstation downloaded_images amstradcpc but thay don't show up in retopie games list
