Thank you so much for this video. The lookup for the files on the pi here is exactly what I needed. The guide I was reading and following said to add :8008 after the IP address and nothing would come up. I'm about to add all the games to my pi now :)

Nice video. Bilinear filter makes games blurry looking. I prefer scanline filter.

Awesome video man I had a question what exactly are the BIOS files on familiar with the ROMs but could you give a little explanation on what bios files are and to play neo Geo do you need the neogeo BIOS
Bios are like system files. You will need a neo geo bios to play some neo geo games yes.

@@princedomo876 the bios files come within the console files. Just have a look online and it will become obvious. I managed it in the end
My question would be: is this recommended over Odroid Xu4? What other options are out there?
The odroid is about twice as powerful as this. it also costs twice as much. So it depend on what you're looking to play. 3D stuff? Go with the Odroid. PSX and under? This will probably work for you.
@@PattonPlays I think I'd rather wait until the next iteration of odroid is out. The smoothing on the psp blew my mind
If you want a little more performance on PS1 emulator enable interlacing on the retroarch options menu. Games look a lil bit better with interlacing.

Hi im new to the raspberry pi and got a loaded pi 3b plus recently however some games don't load, some load the wrong game? And some are in foreign language...can I delete these and add the correct rom? I'm not tech savy at all so will have to try get my girlfriend to fix it for me
you may need to format your sd card before flashing your image

Guys I’m trying to get a game to play on my raspberry pi 3. Viper phase 1. But I can’t get it to play. Please explain what I need to do.
Can you address this please.. I'm having trouble getting the games, 128 SD. I'm not sure which is better/easier, get a prevail flash from Arcadia or loading by USB. I also don't want to overload the 3b with the "troublesome games". Can you advise please?
quick question, what if I'm using a computer that's different from the one that the raspberry pi/retropie was set up with? I got this as a gift (with everything already installed) so I don't know connect it to a computer. Do I install retropie again?

Mr. Lolo if you go to one of his videos talking about adding ps1 games to the SNES classic it will be the same concept. Minus hakchi of course but it will show you what you need to do with the files.

Can you help me make my N64 games run better on my 3b+? I bought mine from eBay with games already pre-installed. So I’d assume it’s stock. I’ve heard about overclocking but didn’t know how to do it just with my SNES controller lol

Going to corrupt your sd card if you are shutting the pi down with that power switch. Very easy to make a button and add a script for proper shut down.
So pretty much we add bios and roms, it comes with the emulator, am I right?
Hey, I have a question when I download mame games I extract the file and instead of the single file of the game it breaks up into like 20 files and never works when trying to play. What am I doing wrong
You do not unzip mame games. They are meant to remain in zip format.
So do you need a separate computer for this or can you use the pi 3

Can you hook up a USB with the games also? 32 GB the max and only SD cards? Can you get PSP games to play off of this and is saving a issue? Does this run the games better than the SNES?
Yes you can. I use a 128gb microsd card. PSP play pretty good, not 100%, no issues with saving. Games run much better than on the snes yes. If you are really looking for an nice emulation machine I recommend the odroid. It's a little more expensive but much more powerful and can run PSP excellent with video upscaling. I've done a couple vids on it recently.
@@PattonPlays After all that work on the SNES I think I will have to get one. Is it easier to set up than the SNES because that was a pain in the ass? So can you hook it up to your TV with full screen? Most controllers comp with USB? PS4 controller? How about newer indie PC games such as Stardew Valley that don't work for the SNES? Dreamcast save without VMU? Saturn run at a better speed? Any other newer system emulators work on it like Gamecube,PS2 or 3DS? Odroid C2 the best one to get and the one I need or is the LattePanda Alpha better?Sorry I got questions.

Connect to my iMac ( sd card )
When I type my IP number or Retropie
Connection failed many times# not connect #
What should I do ?
I would check the retropie forums or reddit. I do not own a mac and can't really help sorry.

Oh good! If you've got a little extra to spend (Like twice as much lol) I recommend an Odroid if you're looking to play some later 3D titles.
Patton Plays nah, I’m mainly old skool when it comes to emulation. GameCube and up I stick to the consoles, and never really was a Dreamcast fan. Heck, the Everdrive City page I created on Facebook is basically dedicated to mainly retro consoles and the rom sets for those particular flash drives. The Pi has come a long ways however, and your video convinced me to invest in one. 😀

Got it up until you got the bios files to put in the pi bios folder. Where did those bios files come from? Where did the roms you added to the pi roms folder come from? HELP!
You have to find them online.
