In some Japanese mountain villages, the nests are excavated and the larvae are considered a delicacy when fried. They offer a boozy buzz when mixed with shochu alcohol. The murder hornets' bodies are light and crunchy and leave a warming, tingling sensation when eaten. The Asian giant hornet larvae are often steamed with rice to make a traditional dish called hebo-gohan -- also called hachinoko gohan. Chefs also place the dead Asian giant hornets (stingers included) on a skewer and grill them over hot coals, their stinger is long enough to poke through protective beekeeper suits and kills up to 50 people a year in Japan alone.

Sticky mousetraps produced an unexpected effect. It turns out they are very effective against hornets. You need to glue one hornet and he will start calling for help with the help of pheromones and after 2 hours many more hornets will stick into the trap. Nobody expected such a good effect from a sticky mousetrap.

That hive was bigger than him. That’s insane. He filled those tube things up and it didn’t even seem to put a dent in the number of hornets. I’m glad they’re not where I live.

When you start collecting giant hornets, and realize you stirred up a swarm but didn’t bring enough containers to catch them in. 😮
Dude, you so needed to bring a ton more of those tubes to catch them. Sounds like they’re at war against each other. 😮🤺🤼Hope they aren’t actually eating him alive, like it sounds. 😬😵‍💫😵
