- In this hornet nest removal video follow wasp hunter as he deals with another giant hornet nest and hornet swarm as he tries to removal a giant wasp nest in a customers backyard. Given the aggression of the bald face hornets and the size and height of the yellow jacket nest this was a nest that had to be removed as soon as possible to prevent unnecessary wasp stings. The reason why I’m subbed to this channel is because I have an intense phobia of wasps and seeing this brave lad take down all these nests leaves me the feeling of sweet, sweet revenge
Not all of them are bad especially paper wasps they are one of the most pleasant wasps they always mind their business and never bother me once Yellowjackets can get annoying since they like to fly around your food and crawl on you etc.

Right I’m not sure if it was too early in the morning for them but it was very odd with how large and active it was
Never seen baldfaced hornets that mellow. Usually you stand 20 ft away from the nest and the cloud comes after you. Got pretty close and they didn't really care. Nice work!

WD40 does work. Used it on the job site two weeks ago as I didn't have anything else on hand. Doesn't kill em right away but it gets them to the ground fast.
My Mrs installs fibre broadband and finds a fair few wasps inside cabinets, she always used WD40 on them and says its brilliant

You should try some pepper spray/pepper gel into the entrance. I wonder how something that concentrated would do against them. Plus, I bet the algorithm would love that.

I would like for you to jam a roman candle or comparable firework. Jam it in upside down on top of the nest right after you light it! Or maybe use your drione injector but use goex black gunpowder and light safely from a distance. Stay safe!

How do you make sure all the bees have left your suit? I was helping a bee keeper years ago. He had me suited up, some how a bee got into the suit. I felt it crawling on my eyebrow and shut my eye tight. It stung me. A couple days later a different bee keeper told me i did the right thing. He said if it had stung me in the eye, id have to go to the er

Anything that's not oxygen will kill them pretty quick, it really doesn't matter what gas it is if it displaces the oxygen they'll die. Pure oxygen would be interesting especially if you then set it on fire in a pure oxygen environment 🤣🤣🤣

They really didn’t have any opportunity to swarm. The dust had the entrance blocked with dead and dying hornets.
And I realize they are not true hornets, just saying… bald faced hornets are actually yellow jackets.

I know this is a question you gotta hear all of the time, but have you been stung by Hornets in spite of your suit before!?
Normally a few times a week the suits are made for bees that’s stingers are about 1/4 as long. If you bend over and the suit lays flat on your skin they get through every time.

Drione seems to be the best, I’d say tempo dust is a close second and delta dust a bit behind in third
How many wasps can this hive pump out? 100 per 3 weeks or something? (obviously none now :) )
Figure there are anywhere from 50-500 larva they take a few weeks to hatch so they could make over 1500-2000 a month in peak season

91% isopropyl kills just about any insect extremely quickly, even cockroaches! It's highly toxic and extremely flammable!
100% ethyl alcohol is extremely toxic and also highly flammable and would kill just about any insect out there.

Flood the nest with stoichiometric oxygen/acetylene and then light a match (very far away). This can be dangerous, but it would be a real blast.
That sounds like a literal bomb exploding, it's also extremely violent and would be amazing to watch but I don't know that the neighbors would appreciate their windows being blown out 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Trying to picture myself inside the hornet nest. The nest hanging free in space suddenly the hand of god entering this world, the end is coming!
