- Since our original video was so frequently watched, this is how we project onto the table in our other room. This one is not ceiling mounted, but the projector sits on the floor an uses rear projection. In this video I use AV Aid the test bar app for IOS, and mention our Dungeons and Dragon's actual-play podcast called Beer and Battle. Both on iTunes.

I can't wait for your 100th video showcasing this setup!
Hey Dave, for something a bit less flexible, you could look at a 1/4" piece of plexi glass. If you use a fine sandpaper to sand one side, you can "frost" it, which should give a nice projected image without wrinkles!
Ooh good idea!
This was helpful, thanks
Drunk nerds, my kind of people.
I did something very similar for a d20 modern campaign, but I used google earth with a thin piece of paper with a grid printed on it between plexi glass. So anywhere I looked on google earth could be scaled up to be usable in combat.
Awesome setup - what brand Pico projector are you using, and do you have enough brightness? Does the room have to be totally dark for it to be visible?
I think I'll get crazy 2:48 and get the frosted shower curtain. 8-)
Why would one not use a door / windows aluminum / plastic channel to make a light weight frame for the screening mask. Hmmm
have you ever thought about using an arcade emulater on that setup?
Ooh. Good idea!
if you do it post a video and let me know about it
Would make for a mean pinball machine.
Ah, screw it. We'll be drunk anyway...
What kind of projector?
+hammockmonk Darn, that's a great question... I really don't recall, though I'm sure the technology has gotten a lot better since than. I think it was something like 25 lumens? and sub-$100. If you do a search for 'Pico Projector' on Amazon a bunch of them will turn up. Next time I see Peter I'll ask if he knows the model.
+davestrand perfect! Thanks, I found several.
