    Geez! That is alot of work.... You certainly aren't afraid to take things apart, Nice work! All i kept thinking was omg look at all those pieces and wires......So, how does the system sound? Any annoying rattles from the rear of the car with the bass? Some cars without the dynomat sound like they about to fall apart from the outside.... I have the bose system in my 2ss 1le and it sucks! The tweeters sound flat and no depth to the low end.... Oh well, the 1le is essentially a track car so I guess i should be happy that it has alot of the comfort features at least.

      jrock702 Man, it was a lot of work and I ran out of steam towards the end of this project. I am happy with the sound quality but I have to go back to the rear and deaden a few spots where I am getting a light rattle. For the most part it hits clean and balanced. By far best vid explanation for wiring up the speakers and assembly!! Could you explain more about what loc did you use? I mean the one you mounted on the foam in the trunk, you tapped it into the rear speakers. I just missed why you had two LOCs. After you cover everything up in the trunk you showed a second LOC the LC2i. Also, did you use the same rear speaker wires as input to the lc2i?

    • @jasonoctane4787
      @jasonoctane4787  2 роки тому +1

      I needed a remote and one of the cheaper LOC created one but I needed the LC2i to fine tune control the sound bc the levels using only the amp didn’t sound the best. It created a lot more wiring but it worked well.

All 4 6x9 speakers and tweeters I used your idea and used the Bose speaker housing to mount my speakers, the 6.5s mounted fine. How does the speaker connector (at 24:30) for the rear side speakers disconnect? I pulled the red locking tab outward and then tried to pull the connector and it will not budge. Is there another tab to release, or does it just require lots of force to disconnect? It's hard to see how the connector works when reaching in there blind.

    • @jasonoctane4787
      @jasonoctane4787  3 роки тому

      Been a while since I did it but I think after you pull that red tab out then you squeeze it and pull it off. The red tab is just to lock it in. Easiest to disconnect that panel leaving seatbelt in it so you can see it better off

    • @crbws6676
      @crbws6676 3 роки тому

      @@jasonoctane4787 Thanks. You are correct. Once the red lock tab is pulled out, you squeeze directly under area exposed once the tab is pulled out with your thumb to release it. It's silly how electrical connectors are mostly different from each other, even on the same car.....wish it was more standardized.

      This is a great install and it definitely helps people who need it. I wish I would have thought of doing a video to help everyone out but it was one of those things that I decided to do it out of the blue so I wasn't thinking. I did everything myself and I promise you it looks like we did the exact same think on the installs. It was definitely a full weekend and some. Take your time and do it right the first time and you'll be glad that you did.
      I have a suggestion for you, run the LC2i to the front speakers. This is because the front speakers have a full range signal and the rear actually has half of a signal. Since I have two amps using one for mids and one for my subs I quickly discovered this and it confused me but I called around to get advice and it was determined that that was the case so I ended up using all of the channels and got a digital sound processor to dial it all in. If you connect it to the front channels you will hear a big difference having a full signal.
