"The intruder displays to show Titus his strength"
*takes small bite of salad
That's the equivalent of someone entering your house unininvited and start eating your food. Wouldn't you consider it an insult?
"Your culinary habits are impressive, but no match for me..."
😁
I mean chewing is a strength too 😂😂
Titus is showing he isn't scared to fight
Titus looked at the other gorilla like "bring your bitchass over here"
What a strong name Titus. Man just hearing his name I wouldn’t even mess with him.
Sounds like the name of a god
Exactly what i thought
Agreed
Titus is alpha of his group, you do not want to be pick a fight with a gorilla named Titus.
@@rastand5218 In the Greek mythology Titus was the name of the joint-ruler of the kingdom of Rome.
RIP Titus you did a wonderful job
titus..was wise...he took his family high high into the mountain...stayed for days....followed by his son..the challenger.....after it became to cold to stay...the son...left the mountain top..followed by those who now supported him over the king.....titus..was left with a small group..who remained loyal....but..Titus...though survived ...was weakened and old.......not lasting much longer.
he remains to this day...the longest reigning Silverback King..as recorded by humans.
how old is titus
@@marlak4203 he was 35 this he passed due to an injury in exhaustion they say but I can say this about the gorilla King The Challenger Who challenged them in this video which is his son he whoop that ass a couple times before he passed
@@ericdwillis09 ok. Thank you for the info.
The royal college just called, they need you to return the ellipses you stole, the whole library is in disarray.
@@ericdwillis09
Yeah, he was a pretty old guy, but there were males back then that were even older than him. Some of the males are still alive today, one of them is called Guhonda and he's over 50 years old now.
Kerchak is that you?
RIP Titus. 😢
Titus : The king of Gorilla 🦍
The universe has indeed generated some fascinating creatures.
Earth created all creatures.
what about aliens
Good point. Maybe we're the aliens.
The earth is part of the universe...
i think i lost a couple of braincells
Wild gorillas fur is so beautiful and different than the ones in zoos and in captivity. There hair is beautiful. It is because of being in the canopy and mountains all the time. Beautiful
these are mountain gorillas..thats why they have that hair...and they can not....be put into zoos..they do not survive
he is old but not broken
Bow down before the true king of the Gorillas; Titus.
The narrator sounds like Sir Patrick Stewart. If anyone can confirm this that would be awesome.
Yes, that's Patrick Stewart
Yes
Titus is the big boss
Never underestimate the under dog❤️❤️❤️
Leaves eating skill: Rookie.
You know what's crazy about this Titus was dethroned by his son and then Dethrone the second time by the same gorilla which was his son ronu
@Im a Train Fanatic is back I kind of felt that when I was watching the documentary of Titus and do you know what ever happened to the orphan that was with Titus during his last days
@Im a Train Fanatic is back I seen a video where Ronu was trying to impress tuck and I know tuck was said to be 37 years old in that video but I have no clue when it came out
@Im a Train Fanatic is back I don't think it was in that movie
@Im a Train Fanatic is back thanks for all the info I have another question like let's say a Silverback takes over a group how old does an infant have to be to not be killed
@@ericdwillis09 The typical age for weaning is 3 1/2 to 4 years, which is what sends the mother back into estrus. At that point the juvenile is usually safe because it doesn't stand in the way of the new male mating.
Cool video, made even Cooler by Patrick Stewart narration.
What the fuck are you
Oh so that's why it sounded familiar
*Gorilla should start a boxing league called 'The Brawl of the Apes' - I'd pay to watch that!*
fun fact, the challenger is named Rano and was Titus 17 year old son
That’s a different gorilla, yes both gorillas were his sons, but it’s not the same gorilla he got dethroned by.
@@mannyob7164 oh my bad
@@_Zabbor_ lol Na it’s ok, the first gorilla dethroned/took like 50-70% of his group his name was kuryama, (which is the gorilla you see in this video challenging him) and yes he’s tituses son, but after a while a new gorilla came which was rano (tituses son) well his son had left and came back he was much bigger and stronger than kuryama (his brother) him and Titus fought and Titus got a wound that infected slowly and slowed him down and got dethroned by his own son, the wound gave him a fever for I think two weeks, and after that titus passed away, I almost cried just reading everything, he’s been through a lot since a baby all the way to the end.
@@_Zabbor_ but also rano has passed away as well.
@@mannyob7164 Titus was the boss for so long, there weren't that many male gorillas around who weren't his son!
Titus was one of a kind
R.I.P Titus
How does this not have a million views this is incredible
Where is the goddamn next part?! I want to know more!
Sameeeee :,(
@bongo155 it's Ranu
There's a 2 hour documentary about Titus look it up
@bongo155 there's a Instagram page that told me he still alive
@@faqih8624 this wasn't Rano. This was his other son who had been banished three years previously. He managed to see him off but was exhausted which is when Rano sees his chance and gets involved. They don't fight but Rano chases follows them thru the forest for 10 days then Titus had no strength left so laid down and three weeks later died from exhaustion passing the group on to Rano who had trouble being accepted as the leader at first. I watched it on television last night
This was an amazing documentary
Forget everything and run.
Face everything and rise.

A L P H A M A L E
Alpha Males are just parents.
Lol I was just on an Impractical Jokers binge
I love footage like this its fascinating
hey harambe i miss you :(
He still had some gas in the tank
No Titus !...don't give up !
rip titus
lol the “rival” intruder who is his son and lives with him.
Not here it wasn't. At this precise point, his son Kuriyama had already deposed Titus from rule and divided the troop. Around 75% of the troop decided to recognize Kuriyama as the new dominant troop leader, leaving Titus with a much smaller group of his own made up of only a handful of females & a few juveniles. At the time this was filmed, his son Kuriyama had already broken from Titus claiming a territory of his own, where he was by now already attracting new females and expanding the troop.
@@Britton_Thompson yea man and crazier thing is that his other son rano a much bigger silverback than kuriyama completely dethroned him, and he technically killed him by inflicting the wound that infected and killed him, I was crying just knowing that happened to Titus.
Please don’t let anybody kill the innocent babe🙏🏻
1.000.000 YEARS BC is here
So did he win?
NOPE, he got rekt
He won this time.
He was able to drive him out. But he was getting older and started dying and then the other took over and Titus passed away.
So whrre is the fight? Don't keep us hanging...
Where can you find the complete documentary?
What became of titius little girl who had been abandoned by her mother?
Alpha meal
Gorillas pounding their chest sound like horse hooves
Or quick series of punches to sand-bag...
Oshe Shango My heart would probably explode lol
Anyone know what happened?
Sadly he contracted stds and died and slow and painful death at the age of 35
He won this battle. But he died in 2009 of old age (he was 35).
Titus died in 2009. Ultimately, his troops were succeeded by two of his sons, which is a success in gorilla hierarchy. His oldest son, Kuriyama, took control of around 40+/- of Titus's 57 gorilla troop a year prior to his death. This was the primary troop Titus; the troop Dian Fossey followed.
However, not everyone in the troop sided with Kuriyama. Titus was left with a smattering of females & juveniles that he led in the last year of his life. A couple months before his death, Titus successfully sired one last juvenile with one of his remaining females. Eventually, this much smaller troop Titus led was also absorbed by, and fell under the leadership of another of his sons, named Ranu, who was already leading a small troop of his own when his father died.
Ranu didn't turn out to be a very good king for such a large group, unfortunately. His reign wasn't particularly fruitful, as he was more concerned with pleasing one certain female in the troop more than he was leading the entire group of gorillas. Kuriyama is a different story. Kuriyama has done about as good a job you can ask of a silverback leading a troop as large as Titus' in the years following his father's death.
@@Britton_Thompson Your information is a little out of date. Kuryama died in 2011 after leading his group only a few years. He was initially a successful leader, but was challenged and driven out by a younger silverback and died shortly thereafter.
