- Finally out of early access. Let's talk about this out of early access survival game. Is this the first Survival Game to come out of early access? Is it worth buying? Let's find out.

This game somehow never appealed to me, so I haven’t played it yet. And after everything you have said, I don’t think this is something I’d enjoy anyways. Thanks for the video!
Just finding this but I agree with this and always will. Great content !
Don't care. I got the game for the offline singleplayer. Imo it's way more fun being able to customize your experience with the sliders and settings it has. Having a blast with the game now. Only complaint is the lag in singleplayer.. it's an easy fix though via a patch
Corey Mckee same single player runs smoother too. Occasional lag doesnt bother me.
J.L.K On Tha Track I haven't played the game in a couple weeks. But since that time they released a couple patches. I'll wait for a few more to see if there is a big difference.
can you customize it on console? thinking of getting this for single player too
Joshua Colantuono yeah there's loads of ways to customize your experience with modifiers for singleplayer
That's why I only play Singleplayer...
Rosh Fragger same
smart man
You forgot to mention, or talk about, how with their "full release" a few days ago, official servers were offline for something like a full 24 hours. Maybe even longer. They claimed their servers would only be offline for 7-8.
Also, they haven't released enough official servers for everyone to play on. They're constantly filled up and you have to wait in a queue to join. I personally have had to wait 3+ hours JUST to join a server. I've heard of people having to wait even longer. They're releasing new servers daily, but they fill up just as soon as they pop up.
Don't get me wrong,I really do enjoy the game. I've got a lot of friends who play it, and made a lot of new friends through this game. I've had good times and bad times, but Wildcard wasn't ready for a full release, even after all the delays. The only reason they went retail is because they had another paid DLC ready to be released, and they didn't want the same flak they got with Scorched Earth.
Instead of spending their time and recourses on fixing a STILL buggy and laggy game that people can STILL Ddos and duplicate items in, they used it to make yet another paid DLC. It's ultimately Wildcard's greed that'll make me quit the game. They're focusing on all the wrong things.
Subscribed! Very good video
It's one of my favourite games even tho sometimes it's really frustrading
great review, saved me 45$
just subbed i enjoy the vid
2:55 lol this is like the game Dead in Vinland. You need to gather some resources until next week or the boss will wreck you xD
You got a couple things wrong, there is a tame limit per tribe - 500 dinos, also most of the mega tribes are actually English speaking mostly.
You are right about the game being very difficult. It's not difficult in the sense of any actual challenge. It's completely random whether or not an alpha raptor is gonna spawn near your base, or if it's not. All the spawns in the game are entirely random, so therfore it's completely unpredictable how your experience is gonna go each time.
Anyways, nice review. ^.^
Thanks for this review, you just saved me 40 bucks.
Paul Walker Not me...
I some what agree with you but have you played the finished game yet because leveling is way faster.
Great review
I play on public, modded x15/x10 PVE servers, but one server that I played with my friend (the best base/setup/dinos we'd ever got) the server got shut down and never came back on.
im now happy I don't play online...
Sasuke from Naruto is that you lol :D
I personally love this game, I don't really olay on servers because I don't have to time to expend on it. The risk-reward ratio is to offbalanced for me to even attempt a server of any kind. However I love playing this game solo or with my sister with boosted stats. I love a fast paced environment where I'm always progressing, I get to the point where I am about to beat the overseer and I breed the dinos that I'm not attached to and willing to sacrifice, the important ones that I'm attached to get sent to "retirement" on my center map. I know some people hate that type of rinse and repeat stuff but I alter my settings and engrams to challenge myself differently each time. The Devs certainly bug me and I'm still a little disappointed that they never fully implemented the age system the once said they would add.
Here is the review for this game. Down to the point. This game has the potential to be the best game ever made. But the greedy and stupid devs keep that from coming to realization by giving their fans the finger.
So true.
You must see the Ark's ending to fully understand the Aberration pack expansion.
I'm looking for an open world survival game that I will get at least 300+ hours. Any thoughts?
Hugh Perry rust? or this
Subnautica
Finally, a very true, fair review that really talks about what it needs to.
Can I ask, what game have you ever played that had "real world value"? .. urm.. lol?
I was looking forward to this game but from the reviews im hearing its not game im interested in it. Also didnt the game just release about a week ago and already it has dlc? And with all the problems and bad game problems and flaws its not good for game company to do that sounds like evolve i think the name was hunting giant monsters with dlc alnistvas aoon as it released lol.
The first DLC came out while the game was still in early access
@@Sirnekk So what. Who cares if they did. Better than fort shit
Very accurate description. I tried playing this and tried liking the game. Ark gets very repetitive very quickly. And when your not repeating the same usual shit that is necessary to keep playing and surviving, youre kind of bored. Its like some kind of No mans sky of the prehistoric jungle. And the frame rate is just shit on console
Very funny rewiev 😂
I have a friend who wants me to get this but he lost me when he told me he spends on average 4 hours taming a single dino and once it took strait 12 hours!
@Milos Rattle mommy proud of u.
To be honest, I personally hated the PC version. Lag was inevitable and was unplayable. However, I purchased it for the PS4, and I find it quite enjoyable when playing on a private server with my friends.
Great review, though. Keep up the amazing work!
SPOILERS
The whole game is set is space (space stations) that's a big part of the story/lore
you should try admin command on private servers
Sharks wifth fricken lazor beams on their head.
Why does no one just play local single player?
Ark never claimed its just dinos tbh i dont see a problem with all this good content. Also grind really its a survival game and there are some big websites hosting official servers with no plans to shut down
if I can get raptors to ride and hunt for me im in
I miss you Alex
I just want to point out that there are multiple arks and they all reside in space, it's just that the "space" one has been destroyed and exposes the truth of what the Ark's are.
I understand that, and from a lore standpoint that is actually pretty cool. However based on the fact this was announced a couple days after their "official release" it shows that they were working on it with money we were giving them to fix their current game. Also, most players are never going to get far enough into the game to actually figure any of the cool stuff out, because it requires an intense grind to do.
@Sir Nekk: Fair point.
that was a prety damn good review...! you basically said exactly what i am thinking !
Thanks for the review, but it would be much more helpful to discerning game consumers if you discussed the true cost of getting the full game, including all add-ons, and any hidden costs, instead of spending so much time on personal opinions. Let viewers decide based on facts. In today's micro-transaction littered game industry, some of us just skip games with low gameplay value micro-transactions immediately. The more information you provide about a games micro-transactions in your review, the more helpful your review will be. These are just friendly suggestions. Thanks again. Cheers!
Kirk H. There is no microtransactions what you see is what you get except the DLC which is an entire new map and shit but ya
Thanks for the confirmation. I bough all the DLC for ARK; I only support companies that operate like WildCard now, zero micro-transcations in full priced games shows respect for game consumers.
do i need PlayStation plus to play?
If you want to play a game online on PS4 you need to have playstation plus
Sir Nekk ok thanks im just gonna play by myself
What do you think. That's like asking can I play a ps4 game not with a ps4
You know this game has Singleplayer? Multiplayer is always shit, always. Play singleplayer.
So basicaly..
It's like minecraft, with greater graphics, tons of grinding but anoyingly hard difficulty and hell shit lag for low end computers.
Find a 10x server and then transfer
Single player fam
Subnautica Anyone?
Also.. ark in space? Omfg dude, you are confused...
Review
I don’t think it would be worth £50
Only absolute masochists play this game
ARK COMMUNISM CYKA BLYAT
Someone confusing stuttering with lag. Not going to watch this review. You don't even know enough vocabulary to make a review.
Wylie28 I didn't confuse them though. You just misunderstood what I was saying. I state that my footage in this video might stutter, and the stuttering of the video is caused by the lag of the game. Stuttering is a term used for videos. Lag is a term used for video games. If anyone is confusing stuttering with lag it's you.
No the stutter is caused by the game not loading in things fast enough. Which can cause frames from being rendered for a short period of time. Lag is a networking term. lag is another word for behind. You can lag in a multiplayer game by being behind the server. AKA having high ping. Lag is not a word that describes performance or framerates. Don't argue terminology with a software engineer. Ive gone to school to learn these terms.
Wylie28 Lag directly AFFECTS frame drop. In the video this gives the impression that the video itself is stuttering, however it was just that the footage was recorded during a period of lag.
