    No FF characters/worlds/elements
No original hub worlds to explore/do activities/fun secrets
    Secret boss sucks
Disney theme ridiculously overbearing, just disney world one after another with zero Serious gameplay/backstory in between to refresh the player
Gameplay with all the animations just becomes interactive cutscenes basically
    Progression/leveling system is hardly satisfying
    Story not well written
    Too bad

I totally agree with a lot of these points. KH1 and KH2 had so much more interesting concepts to make the story go along. It made it fun traveling to go to other worlds, solving puzzles, and finding chests. Also, I think that there was a darker aspect to both the first two games. They tried to mash everything in KH3 all together, make it “brighter” and more childish I think just to gain more fans or for more people to buy the game. The storyline was all over the place and I feel like it was unnecessary. It wasn’t extremely horrible just really boring and unbearable to sit through at times. I think I skipped through so many scenes just to get to the end of the game.

Ur review about KH3's plot had it dawn on me that it suffers from a major "all tell, no show" issue. The dialogue/text tells us one thing, the events contradict it. Story said "Aqua is a keyblade master", she gets easily defeated by people who aren't supposed to be stronger. Story said "Kairi has been training to be a keyblade wielder and did a lot of progress!", she never takes it upon herself to fight. Story said "Sora needs to get his powers back", from the very start of the journey he never struggles with his fights, and so forth... The story is dissatisfying because everything that is presented to us is both contrived and inconsistent, without consistency there's no trust in the narrative, thus we stop buying it until we just stop caring entirely, because we feel *lied to* .

Your point about motivation is spot on. In terms of story and RPG features, there's no meaningful progression. This game is so thoroughly ill-conceived, that I can't imagine a salvageable version of it. It makes me sad. In a better world, KH3 came out on PS3 in 2010.

I wish the series was KH 1, COM, 2, then the kh 3 we never got. All they had to do was leech off of Mickey's letter at the end, but no. 358 was just fucking stupid, BBS retconned the lore too much, and I don't even wanna think about DDD or 3.

For me… Kingdom Hearts Dreams was the proper 3. It expanded the story and even called itself *3D* dream drop distance. If that game didn’t set up stupid sequel bait which pretty much every game does nowadays… we would’ve had the perfect quadrilogy to live with.

    • @Jacob-yd7gd
      @Jacob-yd7gd 2 роки тому +5

@@dangerwarg9682 they should have never announced the game back in 2013 like they did. Square caved into fan pressure to release the game when it was obviously not finished and incredibly rushed. They should have came out in 2014 - 2015 and just said “we’re making kingdom hearts 3. We have no trailer or gameplay we’re willing to show you yet because the game is in it’s early stages. It’s going to be a while before you get to play it because we’re going to make the best game possible for all the fans who have been waiting since their childhood for it. Just know that it’s real, it exists, and it’s coming.” If they took even an extra year making the game it would have came out much better.

See I agree 100% about the pacing and power scaling of 3. What they should have done was start the tutorial for KH3 with Hercules but end it with a giant heartless boss fight and leave. Then have Sora level up for the ability of the enemies from the world. So it would be Twilight Town-Toy Story- Tangled-Monsters Inc- Pirates- Frozen- and then Back to Hercules to fight the titans. That way Sora feels strong by the end. Not only that have Sora go to each world to learn new more powerful magic. Have him learn a stronger blizzard spell from Elsa and a stronger thunder spell from Zeus. Such poor pacing.

Nah. The project isn't ultimately his fault. There's the in-house engine they've wasted years of work on. So even though it was in "development" for 5 years, it was actually for much less time because the assets they made with the in-house engine were incompatible with the new engine this game runs on. So they had to do it all over again. Among other things, there's also Disney, an absolute nightmare to work with these days. And it shows too how much Disney had control over the project. Collabs with partners like those two tend to get at a stand-still often. It was a whirlwind of fuckery to the point that it's no wonder why it feels rushed: Because it is.

The frozen world was by far the worst world in the entire series and the Let it Go segment pissed me off cause it's clear that's where all the effort and budget for Arendelle went towards....

Another reason why the boss fights suck in KH3 is because they don't have any triangle commands. In KH2, when you go up against Xigbar, you sometimes have to press triangle to teleport & knock back his big crystal shots. Against the Shadow Stalker in Beauty & The Beast, you have to press triangle to release it out of pillars or out of the chandelier. Heck, there are even casual enemies where you are able to do triangle commands on 'em. Like, doing reversal on dusks or going berserk with a berserker's own weapon. Where's that in Kingdom Hearts 3?

That's more or less how I see Kingdom Hearts as well. I used to be into the games back around like 2003 to about 2009 but I got tired of all the spinoff games (I know they aren't really "spinoffs" but it was definite milking and it was annoying). The fact we had to wait near a decade for a proper 3rd game was insulting itself and I wouldn't say that if we didn't get like 4-5 spinoff titles trying to milk the franchise and only made the story even more bogged down. Birth By Sleep was the only passable one since it at least gave an origin story to the Keyblade.
But yeah I got tired of Kingdom Hearts around 2010 and by the time the first trailer for KH3 was released, I noticed how I just wasn't hyped for it like everyone else seemed to be. And then the game comes out and I still had no motivation to get it and I still haven't played it til this very day, I just don't have the passion or love for the series anymore to do that. And worst of all they say that this was just the end of the first saga and that we'll be getting another one? No thanks. Look how long it took them to conclude this one. Eguh.

Great job. I personally wish they would soft-remake KH3/expand its main story campaign in a Final Mix edition. There are so many missed opportunities for this game. But I highly doubt Nomura would ever go back. In one interview during development, Nomura was asked how he feels about directing FFVIIR and KH3 at the same time. Nomura’s response was “if I can’t put an idea in one game, I can put it in the other” and that’s exactly what I felt when I played FFVIIR. For example (spoilers), there’s an underground lab sequence in FFVIIR which feels like what Radiant Garden/Xehanort’s lab sequence would have been (where, presumably, a playable Riku would have discovered Aqua’s Armor and Subject X’s cell, and maybe fought some of Xehanort’s leftover Heartless experiments). There’s also a giant shadow monster boss that looks very much like what Xehanort’s final form could have been. It seems as if Nomura views all his projects as one big unified project. What sucks about that is that means he likely would feel no motivation to go back and give KH3 any kind of expansion, since he’s already satisfied himself by putting any unfulfilled ideas for KH3 into other games. It’s such a shame. KH3 had incredible story potential.

On the bright side I know that channels this small are infinitely more likely to read my comment : p. Though I agree with most of what you describe, I'd chastise this entry more for completely railroading the Final Fantasy aspects. Also I'm actually pleased that Kairi and to a lesser extent Aqua were weak considering that the former is.... well... Kairi and the latter didn't exactly show caution or teamwork, anyone who goes charging in should get trampled. Feminist something something characters are not needed and I don't want them; only good characters, this entry lacks both lol.
Yuna from FFX(lets ignore FFX-2) is a brilliant example of a good female character but not one ruined by twisting her into a trash "feminist" character. She was indeed very weak physically and emotionally but she overcame it and brought her friends to victory through healing, buffing them, and unlocking spiritual powers(summoning). I actually assumed they'd go this route with Kairi, powering up the team and such; gave them too much credit.

Notice-This is part 10 of a multiple part rewrite of Kingdom Hearts 3, if you haven't read the previous parts then you may have to search throughout the comment section for it. Since I'm not a UA-camr the comment section is the best I can do to get the rewrite out there. To those who have read the previous part, I hope you've been enjoying it so far and enjoy the continuation of my rewrite.
(Kairi and Riku's Story - Ansem's Laboratory)-Ienzo is surprised to find a hidden passage and everyone decides to head
into the hidden passage, Kairi, Riku and company walk down the
stairway and find the hallway of cages, Ienzo then explains that there
were rumors that Ansem was experimenting on children and keeping
them in a secure facility. Ienzo then surmises that Xehanort must've
used this place after he banished Ansem, Aqua speaks out in disgust at
Ansem the Wise's actions. The group then head to the end of the hallway
and enter a chamber, Ienzo then deduces that this place must be the
Chamber of Repose, meant to emulate the Chamber of Waking. Ienzo also
explains that rumors in the Organization was that he talked to someone
in the chamber, Aqua then immediately finds her Stormfall Keyblade and
Keyblade Armor she left behind, triggering a flashback to when she
saved Terranort. Aqua takes her Keyblade and then dematerializes her
Keyblade Armor, Kairi then looks around and then she goes into a
sudden trance, Namine greets her in her Station of Awakening and uses
her memory power to show Kairi what Xemnas was doing in the
Chamber of Repose, which was talking to Aqua's armor. Namine then
reveals that Xemnas holds the memories of Terra and so perhaps he
holds the key to his return, Kairi snaps out of her trance and then is
about to inform the others about what Namine told her until an alarm
goes off. The next cutscene shows Ienzo looking at a monitor and seeing
that Heartless and Nobodies are attacking the town, Kairi, Riku, and
company decide to go out to protect the town.
(Radiant Gardens - Residential Area)-Kairi, Riku, and company arrive at the town square and see that
Heartless and Nobodies are everywhere, the group decides to split up
and then we enter a level where we help each individual Final Fantasy
character in Radiant Gardens defeat a group of Heartless and Nobodies
similar to the level in KH2. Kairi and Lea meet up with and helps Leon
and Yuffie, after that fight, Riku, Aqua, and Ventus meet up with Aerith,
who is having trouble on her own. However, in a quick second half of the
Heartless and Nobodies are destroyed by a quick slash and none other
than Cloud and Tifa arrives. Aerith asks where they've been, but Cloud
replies that he'll have to recap them later, the level continues with Cloud
and Tifa as a new Final Fantasy partner.
(Radiant Gardens - Town Square)-After reaching the town square, Isa and the Hooded Girl (Xion) ambush
Kairi and company, Kairi then tells Leon and Yuffie to take care of the
town and that she and Lea will handle the Organization. Leon and Yuffie
split up from Lea and Kairi and then Kairi takes on Isa, while Lea fights
the Hooded Girl (Xion). We then get a scripted boss fight playing as Lea
against the Hooded Girl (Xion) and after that getting the boss's health to
a certain point, the next cutscene brings us to Kairi and Isa's fight and
then a scripted boss battle with Kairi against Isa begins. After getting
Isa's health to a certain point, a cutscene showing Riku and company
arriving back at the square to help Kairi. However, a blast of darkness
keeps Riku and company from going any further. All of a sudden, a
hooded organization member appears and then lifts his hood off of his
head. The figure is revealed to be Terranort, which puts Aqua on edge
and surprised Ventus, Riku however seems surprisingly unphased.
Terranort then begins to taunt the group about their failures and how
they were not strong enough to save the people they loved on their own.
Riku walks forward and then asks if Terranort remembers him,
Terranort describes Riku as the boy he lured into the darkness only to
squander it. Riku then smiles and thanks Terranort for confirming that
he's not Terra and so summons his Braveheart Keyblade, Aqua and
Ventus then reluctantly decide to join Riku and then a boss battle against
Terranort begins. Meanwhile, Kairi and Lea are still fighting Isa and Xion
and while Isa is keeping Lea busy, Kairi is left to face the Hooded Girl
(Xion) alone. A boss fight between Kairi and the Hooded Girl (Xion)
begins and after the boss fight, a cutscene plays, showing Kairi's attack
knocking of the girl's hood. The face of Xion is then revealed with yellow
eyes and after looking at her face, Namine and Kairi begin to have
headaches, as the memories have been triggered and so Namine
remembers Xion and both her and Kairi have seen what she's gone
through during her time in the original Organization 13. Lea then spots
Xion's face, but while she seems familiar to him, the memories of her are
still locked. Isa then backs away and stands next to Xion, they escape
through a dark corridor together, Kairi runs toward them to stop them,
but was too late to reach them. Terranort then escapes the same way,
saying that he will be waiting for them at the destined battlefield, the
next cutscene shows the whole group at the square. After everyone
assures everyone else's safety, Kairi then is about to tell everyone about
what she's learned, we then see a flashback cutscene of Kairi talking to
Namine briefly after the battle. Namine explains to Kairi that Xion was a
replica meant to replicate Roxas's ability to wield the Keyblade, however
she gained her form because her personality was built from Sora's
memories of Kairi. Namine then confirms that that is the reason why
Xion is connected to Kairi, because her very existence is connected to
Kairi's existence. Back in present time, everyone is shocked, Kairi
however immediately tells Lea that Xion was also his friend alongside
Roxas. Lea is confused, but believes it does make sense since the girl felt
familiar, however he still doesn't remember her and so doesn't know
how to feel. Kairi then decides that she's going to save Xion, Lea
questions her decision since she's part of the Organization. Kairi then
reminds Lea that many of their friends are part of the Organization and
that it's their responsibility to bring them back home, Riku says well said
and Lea realizes that he needs to do the same with Isa and so claims that
if Kairi is going to save her then he's going to stand right by her side to
help her. Kairi and Lea then fist bump with smiles on their faces. (I
would add an optional story leading to a boss fight with Sephiroth)
And that's part 10 of my rewrite, I hope you've been enjoying so far. The next part is going to deal with the changes of San Fransokyo, the Caribbean, and the keyblade preparation cutscenes. I may also rewrite a new original Sephiroth boss fight story, but right now I'm focusing on the main story. Until then, I hope you've enjoyed this rewrite.

Notice-This is part 11 of a multiple part rewrite of Kingdom Hearts 3, if you haven't read the previous parts then you may have to search throughout the comment section for it. To those who have read the previous part, I hope you've been enjoying it so far and enjoy the continuation of my rewrite.
(Sora's Story - San Fransokyo)-Before Sora enters the world, an added cutscene would play, showing a
silhouette of Dark Baymax analyzing the city. Dark Baymax then begins
to cover himself with Darkubes, a mysterious figure (Dark Riku) then
smiles on top of a building, watching Dark Baymax. The story continues
as normal until the group hears the news report of Heartless attacking
the city, as the news also points out a figure that bears the resemblance
of the crimson robot from the city's beloved heroes, Big Hero 6. This
stuns Hiro as no one should be able to make their own Baymax except
him. The story continues as normal until the group finally catches up to
the Darkubes, the cutscene would be extended by adding a part of the
scene of the blocks from the Darkubes falling off, Goofy would pick one
up and point out how they look exactly like the Bugs from the Datascape
with Sora and Donald agreeing. However, the cubes would magnetically
return to the Darkubes and the scene continues as normal. After the
Darkubes boss fight, the Darkubes separate and reveal Dark Baymax.
Hiro is shocked and demands an explanation. Data Riku then explains
then explains that the Darkubes were half of the collected Data the
Organization got from the Datascape of Twilight Town, however it was
not yet complete until Dark Riku came to San Fransokyo and found one
of Hiro's Microbots. Dark Riku then combined the Data and then the
Darkubes were created, Dark Riku also explains that during his
traversal, he came across a colorful dimension and found what he calls
"that husk of a machine" and decided to experiment by fusing him with
the Darkubes, creating his dark avenger, his Dark Baymax. We then
begin a boss fight between Sora and company and Dark Riku. After the
boss fight, a cutscene showing that before the group could attack Dark
Baymax, Hiro stops them, not knowing what to do. Dark Riku then
decides to escape along with Dark Baymax, the story then continues as
normal all the way to the end.
(The Caribbean)-The story continues the same way until after the race with Luxord, to which we would have a boss fight between Sora and company against Luxord. From there the story continues all the way to the end.
(Interval 5)-The scene of Ansem the Wise's rescue and Vexen's betrayal against the organization in Twilight Town is the same.
(Keyblade War Preparations)-Everyone returns to Yen Sid's tower, letting everyone know what they
are up against and that they may not be the same when they return.
Everyone makes it clear that they are ready for Xehanort's Keyblade
War. Lea then complains about explaining Roxas to Ventus like in the
original game, same with Jiminy giving everyone a Gummi phone. The
scene then continues as normal from there, like in the original game. The
next cutscene is Ventus and Aqua's cutscene and is the same until the
end, Aqua stands up and says that she has some work to do before
tomorrow, confusing Ventus. The next cutscene with Lea and Isa is the
same as in the original game. The next cutscene is an added cutscene of
Aqua training Kairi in the World Beyond Time, we then see a small
flashback of Radiant Gardens, revealing that Kairi asked Aqua to train
her before the final battle, to which she reluctantly agreed. After
showing a bit of Kairi's physical and magical skills, Aqua then has a heart
to heart with Kairi, where Kairi expresses how she's done being the
damsel in distress, always waiting for Sora to rescue her and that this
time she wants to protect Sora. Aqua then reveals that when she was a
young Keyblade wielder, she didn't think she could do much and that
Terra always had to protect her, but it wasn't until he beat her in a
sparring match, that she wanted to get stronger. Aqua then wonders if
maybe that was the reason she gave into darkness, because her reasons
were more selfish than selfless, especially since she didn't trust Terra
when he channeled dark powers in KHBBS. Kairi then makes Aqua feel
better by saying sometimes we do things we're not proud of for the
people we love, but the past is the past, and the future needs to be their
focus as heroes. The cutscene ends with Aqua making a joke about how
Kairi feels about Sora, making Kairi blush and panic. (This creates an
anime like comedy in this scene) Kairi then says she better get going
since Sora and Riku are waiting for her, making Aqua smile. The next
cutscene of Vexen planning with Demyx at Radiant Gardens is the same.
The next cutscene of Maleficent and Pete in Twilight Town is the same.
The next cutscene with Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Riku Replica at Destiny
Islands is the same. The next cutscene is the Re:Mind cutscene of Young
Xehanort meeting the Master of Masters. The final preparation cutscene
is the Re:Mind cutscene of the Master Xehanort explaining each
Organization member at the Keyblade Graveyard.
And that's part 11 of my KH3 rewrite, I hope your ready because the I've expanded the final battle in a big way, to the point where there are still many parts of the rewrite to come. The final battle is going to be even more epic and spread out than it was in the original game. Until then, I hope you enjoyed this rewrite.

I feel that KH3 really lost it's "heart". It's a byproduct where the developers really did not have any interest in continuing the series, only feeling like a rushed attempt to complete a trilogy that the fanbase were so desperate for. Doesn't help that Disney essentially crippled the game into a "child-friendly" sellout of movies like Frozen, resulting in a haphazard "plot" and a lack of any meaning.
I don't have much positive to say about KH3, but the music is pretty decent (Agree that the opening theme is hot garbage) and I liked the Hercules world as Hades is one of the rare characters that actually has a likeable character and the Titan Fight was pretty epic. But then there's crap like Frozen and Big Hero 6 which are sandboxes of emptiness, most bosses are generic heartless things, Xehanort's end was unjustified and rushed, too many random characters with no development and so forth. They really should have stuck with more classic Disney worlds as they tend to have far more interesting things going for them, unlike the newer films that Disney is so desperate to pedal. In fact, Nomura demanded that Disney let them make the Hercules world, which is the best world in my opinion and it shows.
If they really didn't want to make KH 3, then it was better not making it in the first place to tarnish the reputation of KH 1 and KH 2, which while not perfect had actually "heart" put into it.

Nice video dude. You are pretty much spot on, but one thing I disagree with is how much of fault Disney overreach was for lackluster worlds/and combat gimmicks. I'm definitely not saying that they weren't forcing the game to include recent titles such as Frozen in it, but ultimately I doubt that the company is foolish enough to be unwilling to negotiate using their legacy characters in it. How can the same company that was okay with Disney Infinity, which includes pretty much all of their original renaissance characters that could've been used in anyway the player wanted...which was released around the time KH3 was in development (supposedly because you know all Nomura did was procrastinate on it and rush the last 2 years), why would they be against allowing square to use their characters? In fact look at characters like Maleficent and Pete....do you really think it was Disney preventing them from being relevant at all in KH3 or just Nomura not bothering to do anything with them? Like why even let them be put in scenes or the epilogue if that were the case? Heck Disney even allowed them to kill Mickey, their most iconic character. I doubt they'd be completely against allowing square to use older properties or against using their characters/worlds in ways significant for the main story. It's just the fault of Nomura that this doesn't happen.
Ultimately I say it is Nomura's fault. It's Nomura's fault that Maleficent was made irrelevant. It was Nomura's fault alone to why there are no Final Fantasy characters in it. It's Nomura's fault nothing of significance was done with the original characters with no story until the very end of the game. The gimmicks in combat were ultimately Nomura's decisions. I'm not surprised he wanted attractions in the game after he made crap like DREAMEATERS in DDD. Nomura deserves a lot more blame than he receives.

    • @RawPower867
      @RawPower867 2 роки тому +3

Nomura is just a bad writer and director. His strength has always been character design, not storytelling. The first game had greater involvement from Disney and even Sakaguchi, before he left Square. That's probably the only reason the first game is as good as it is.

KH2 in the beginning: You start with decent Magic and Valor Form after getting drip from the Sleeping Beauty fairies.
KH3 in the beginning: You somehow can only do KH2 combo finishers with Second Form while you already are KH2 Sora, can pull Attractions and Shotlocks out of nowhere despite being "weak", spells suck. Getting drip doesn't explain some of the powers you get like in KH2.

My biggest gripe is that they chose to use this game as sequel bait(which who knows when we'll get a KH4) instead of wrapping up the Xahenort Saga in a satisfying manner. I wanted Sora and Kairi to have a happy ending, instead Sora pulled a Tidus and disappeared. Overall I enjoyed the game but that ending was rage inducing to me. Notice-This is the 19th and final part of a multiple part rewrite of Kingdom Hearts 3, if you haven't read the previous parts then you may have to search throughout the comment section for it. Since I'm not a UA-camr the comment section is the best I can do to get the rewrite out there. To those who have read the previous part, I hope you've been enjoying it so far and enjoy the continuation of my rewrite.

(Final Story 12.5 - Scala Ad Caelum)-A boss fight between the Guardians of Light against Master Xehanort (X-Blade) begins, situation commands would trigger specials moves, allowing you to switch between the Guardians, who are also backed up by other Guardians of Light. For example, you can switch out Sora, backed up by Kairi, Riku, Ventus, and Roxas with Terra, backed up by Aqua, Xion, Lea, and Mickey and as the battle goes on it continues with every Guardian of Light. After the boss fight, a cutscene would play, showing Xehanort summoning Kingdom Hearts like during his final boss fight in the original game, except the cutscene continues with him unleashing a powerful attack that knocks down all of the Guardians of Light, seemingly defeating them. Master Xehanort claims that the world shall finally become balanced as it should be until everyone decides to give all of their power and Light to Sora, this allows Sora to transform into his ultimate form, transforming his Kingdom Key into the Ultima Weapon and then having it transform into the crystal sword that comes with his transformation. Baffled, Xehanort asks what this power is and Sora replies," my friends, this is our power"! The final boss fight between Sora (Final Form) and Master Xehanort (X-Blade) begins, at the end of the boss fight, the same situation command appears, ending the battle with Sora reverting to his original form and with Donald, and Goofy at his side using their Trinity situation command. After the boss fight, a cutscene plays, showing the Guardians of Light combining their Key Beams in order to defeat Master Xehanort the same way as they did in the Re:Mind DLC with Sora saying that his friends are his power. After the combined attack, Master Xehanort floats down to the roof and Xehanort's death continues the same as it did in the original game, except that he explains that a balanced world would allow equilibrium, ending the battles between Light and Darkness, as clashes between them have taken many innocent lives, even the lives of people he loved (Referencing KH Dark Road) (Also, Xehanort purging the world of darkness did not make much sense considering how much he acted like he embraced the darkness). The cutscene ends with Sora using the X-Blade to seal Kingdom Hearts, the same way as in the original game.
(Epilogue)-Sora and Kairi are in the Final World and bring Chirithy back to the Realm of Light the same way as in the Re:Mind DLC. The ending cutscenes with the added Re:Mind Sora and Kairi appearances are the same, along with the ending of Sora disappearing. The Secret Endings with Xigbar being Luxu and the Quadratum City are the same.
(Re:Mind DLC)-The secret boss with Yozora, Data Battles, and Pro and EZ codes are the same. I would add an extra episode, depicting Eraques and Master Xehanort in a version of the Keyblade Graveyard created by Kingdom Hearts and have a Eraques VS Master Xehanort boss fight. I would also add a Boss Selection mode with the option to play as any of the Playable Characters in the game. (A New Game + Mode would have also been included in the vanilla game)
And that's the epic finale of my rewrite, I hope you've enjoyed following the story up to this point. Please leave your overall thoughts of this part and the overall story of the entire rewrite in the reply section, as I would love to hear your feedback since this was a test at hopes of becoming a professional writer. Expresses what you like, didn't like and what your favorite or least favorite part about the whole rewrite was. Thanks again for following me on this journey and May Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key.

(Sora's Story - Datascape)-Sora and company take the train and arrive at Sunset Terrace, Riku then
tells Sora that the key to Roxas's salvation in the Datascape may be
connected to the seven wonders and so tells Sora to investigate, while he
does some investigating of his own. Sora goes through the same seven
wonders as Roxas did in KH2. After completing the first wonder (in any
order), Sora sees Roxas's memory of running into Riku and losing his
money bag. After the second wonder, Sora sees the memory of Roxas
falling off the clock tower. After the third wonder, Sora sees the memory
of Roxas's last meeting with Axel where he says lets meet again in the
next life. After the fourth wonder, Sora sees the memory of Roxas being
defeated by Ansem-Riku. After the fifth wonder, Sora sees the memory of
Roxas talking to Riku before their battle, however he only however a
name (Xion) is cut out as a static blur and the scene ends with Riku
saying that it's a struggle to remember her name. After the sixth wonder,
Sora sees the memory of Roxas arguing with Axel and leaving the
organization. Finally after the seventh wonder, Sora sees the memory of
Roxas, Axel, and a third blurry, but familiar person hanging out on the
clock tower eating ice cream. After the seven wonders are complete, the
world begins to mysteriously heal from the damage the bugs caused and
so Sora and company meet with Data Riku. Data Riku points out that
completing the seven wonders have somewhat healed the data Twilight
Town from the damage the bugs caused like an anti-virus, but most of
the world is still infected. The voice of Pence then tells Sora and
company that there is a digital anomaly happening at the Sandlot and
tells the group to go there.
The Sandlot (Datascape)-Sora and company arrive at the Sandlot, but see nothing. All of a sudden,
Pence and Jiminy try to contact Sora, but the communication is now cut
off and Sora and company are now surrounded by Bugs. Out of a corridor
of darkness, Xemnas and Ansem arrive, surprising Sora and Data Riku.
Sora asks how they are here, but Data Riku interrupts and claims that it
was them that placed the Bugs in the data Twilight Town. Ansem
confirms this by saying that there was a price to pay for Riku using his
power and that price was his knowledge, Xemnas then says after all, we
were once Ansem's apprentice and that there is no secret he can keep
from us. Ansem and Xemnas then sick the bugs on Sora and company and
after defeating a few a cutscene plays showing that they are
outnumbered until a shine of light surprises Xemnas and Ansem and the
bugs are erased. Ansem looks around and notices none other than a
mysteriously young Namine (Sorta) on a rooftop using some strange
power in order to destroy the remaining bugs in the world and before
Ansem and Xemnas could attack her, a hooded figure (Roxas sorta)
wielding the Oathkeeper and Oblivion Keyblades. Ansem and Xemnas
are shocked as to how "he" is here, but they decide to focus on the fight,
the Hooded Figure (Roxas sorta) tells Sora and company to get ready. A
boss fight begins as Sora, Donald, and Goofy, with the aid of the Hooded
Figure (Roxas sorta) and Data Riku act as extra partners, facing Xemnas
and Ansem with a combined health bar. After the boss fight, Sora and
company are being pushed back by Ansem and Xemnas and then Xemnas
instantly captures Namine (Sorta) and throws her down to the Sandlot.
Xemnas shoots a bolt of lightning at Namine (Sorta), but Sora gets in the
way, however a light appears in front of Sora and then we see a glimpse
of Data Sora, giving his life to save Namine and Sora, saying "looks like I
kept my promise". Data Sora then says "Nice to meet you... Sora". In a
flash of light Data Sora is destroyed and Sora instantly is shown the
memories of Data Sora and is recapped on Data Sora's perspective of
Re:Coded, causing Sora to shed tears for Data Sora. Xemnas and Ansem
then decide to escape, claiming that even if "he" returns, it adds to their
benefit, they then leave through a dark corridor.
Due to word limits in the comment section I'm ending part 4 here, but Twilight Town will conclude in the next part and we will get to Act 2 of Riku and Kairi's story. Until then, I hope you've enjoyed this rewrite so far.

Notice-This is part 2 of a multiple part rewrite of Kingdom Hearts 3, if you haven't read the first part then you may have to search throughout the comment section for it. Since I'm not a UA-camr the comment section is the best I can do to get the rewrite out there. To those who have read the first part, I hope you've been enjoying it so far and enjoy the continuation of my rewrite. (The story from here on out is going to be Sora's story, Riku's story, and then Kairi's story in that specific order)
(Riku's Story - Realm of Darkness Act 1)-This level starts with the same cutscene of Mickey and Riku talking,
however the next cutscene shows Riku and Mickey arriving at the
Enchanted Dominion from 0.2. Mickey then explains that the world
must've been within the Realm of Darkness for so long that the Realm is
trying to replicate it as an echo. (Basically the Realm of Darkness is
creating an echo of worlds that have fallen into it in the past, similar to
how Terra and Ventus were echoes of Aqua's memory of them) The level
continues as the same set of levels from 0.2. However at the end of the
level, Riku faces and echo of his younger self in his Dark Form, facing the
origin point of his darkness one last time. We then get a boss fight of
Riku fighting Phantom Riku and after the boss fight, Riku and Mickey
converse about how Riku was so vulnerable and was foolish to believe
that Sora could ever want to replace him and Kairi as friends. Riku then
claims that Ansem's mistake was allowing Riku to access the power of
his own darkness, as now Riku has made the power his own, symbolizing
Riku's mastery over his own dark powers. Riku and Mickey continue into
    the Realm of Darkness.
(Kairi's Story - World Beyond Time)-The beginning of this level starts with the same cutscene of KH2 Kairi
writing a letter to Sora. The next cutscene shows KH2 Kairi and Lea
entering the training area, with Merlin greeting them. Merlin then begins
today's training by having Kairi and Lea fight each other in a tutorial
boss fight for Kairi's mechanics and techniques. After the boss fight, a
cutscene that shows Lea and Kairi sleeping around a campfire begins.
Kairi begins to show distress in her sleep, we then see her dreams,
showing flashes of a mysterious black haired girl (Xion), seeing
memories and events that are not her own. This dream would connect
the two characters for the remainder of the game. Kairi then wakes up in
fear, as the morning sun shines down on her and a woken up Lea. Lea
asks Kairi what's wrong, but before she could answer, Isa appears
behind Lea and is about to strike him. Lea blocks the attack and then is
pushed back next to Kairi. Lea asks Isa how he found them and Isa
replies that it's all thanks to his new partner, he then points to a Hooded
Girl (Xion) who appears next to him. The next part of the scene is the
same cutscene of Lea and Kairi meeting Xion from Re:Mind, just in a
different place. We then get a boss fight between Kairi and Lea against
Isa and Hooded Xion. After the fight, Isa and Xion escape and then Merlin
arrives too late, apologizing as he didn't notice their arrival. The next
cutscene shows that Kairi has told Merlin and Lea about the dream and
that it was about the Hooded Girl (Xion), so Kairi is driven to discover
what it means. Merlin then tells Kairi that the best way to start is to go to
Yen Sid. Kairi and Lea then decide to leave their training early in order
to investigate the mysterious girl in Kairi's dreams, giving a reason as to
why Kairi was still kind of weak during the Keyblade War. The level ends
with the same cutscene of Kairi's costume change, haircut, and Lea's
    explanation of Ventus.
And so this is my rewrite of Kairi and Riku's story, I hope you enjoyed part 2 of my rewrite and expect me to post the next part of my rewrite very soon.

You don't blame Disney? But they're probably the reason behind the game being bad 😂. Such as not letting us fight Disney villains or forcing the rides inclusion

Notice-This is part 5 of a multiple part rewrite of Kingdom Hearts 3, if you haven't read the previous parts then you may have to search throughout the comment section for it. Since I'm not a UA-camr the comment section is the best I can do to get the rewrite out there. To those who have read the previous part, I hope you've been enjoying it so far and enjoy the continuation of my rewrite.
(Sora's Story - Datascape/Twilight Town)-The next cutscene shows Sora and company, Namine, and the Hooded Figure (Roxas sorta) are in the
middle of the Sandlot. Data Riku says that he doesn't understand, I was created from Jiminy's Journal, so
I could logically return within the Datascape, but Data Sora was a creation of Chip and Dale. Data Riku
then says that there is no logical way that Data Sora should've even existed anymore. Namine (Sorta)
then says that Data Sora was the detected anomaly and that her theory is that he sensed the danger and
came to help, yet at the same time, his heart was fighting his own nonexistence and so could only
appear for a brief moment, but was sadly deleted because of Xemnas's attack. Sora then asks how
Namine was able to get into the Datascape, however Namine reveals that she is Data Namine from
Jiminy's Journal, the Hooded Figure then reveals the face of Roxas, but reveals that he is Data Roxas
from Jiminy's Journal. Namine then explains that the seven wonders were actually seven locks that
Xehanort implemented to keep any outsiders trapped within the Datascape, however when Sora
completed them he created a gateway, letting her, Data Roxas, and Data Sora in and allowed her to heal
pieces of the data Twilight Town. Sora then asks Data Namine if she can help them find a way to put
Roxas into the Datascape, however Data Namine reveals that Roxas's heart has already found a new
home, but cannot fully awaken. Data Roxas then steps forward and speaks up, telling Sora and company
that Roxas's heart was ejected from Sora the moment the seven wonders were complete, as the locks
were formed from fragments of Roxas's memories, explaining why Sora saw clear memories from Roxas
after completing each wonder. Data Roxas claims that Roxas's heart is sleeping within his body, but
cannot take control because he is made of data, but Data Roxas promises Sora that he and Data Namine
will protect Roxas's heart with their lives until he can find a suitable vessel. Namine then opens an exit
portal and then they say their goodbyes, as Sora leaves he looks at Data Roxas and tells Roxas's heart
that he promises that he will free him. Sora and company leaves the Datascape through the portal. Sora
returns to Twilight Town and gets a call from Ienzo who claims to have observed everything from his
console and will begin analyzing the new data from the data Twilight Town. The rest of the story
continues as normal. (When coming back for the Hundred Acre Wood, I would have Sora ask about Kairi,
to which Merlin would just tell him that her training has been progressing well)
(Riku's Story Act 2 - Realm of Darkness)-Riku and Mickey continue to search the Realm of Darkness for Aqua and
end up in the dark roads that Aqua walks through in the Secret Episode
of KHBBS Final Mix. Riku hears ghostly whispering behind him and looks
back, but nothing is there, Riku continues walking forward while a
shadowy figure is peaking at Riku from behind a wall. Riku then asks
Mickey about his new Keyblade, to which Mickey reveals that this
Keyblade (Star Cluster) is master Yen Sid's original Keyblade and that it
was necessary to face strongest Heartless within the Realm of Darkness.
Riku and Mickey then travel the same levels as the ones in the Secret
Episode of KHBBS Final Mix, the main enemies are mostly possessors
and once they reach a certain point, Riku and Mickey are attacked by a
Red Eye Heartless and begin a scripted boss battle. After bringing the
bosses health down to a certain point, the Red Eye is destroyed by an
echo of a blindfolded Shadow Riku from KH2, which surprises Mickey
and Riku. Shadow Riku then belittles Riku for not trusting his friends
enough with the burden of awakening Sora and reminds him of all the
bad things he did to Roxas. At first Riku ignores Shadow Riku, leading
into a scripted boss fight against him. After getting his health to a certain
point, Shadow Riku takes off his blindfold and turns into Ansem-Riku
and then begins to taunt Riku for using Ansem's power, Riku then agrees
with Ansem-Riku and tells him he used a power that only knew how to
take from people, but now he's about to show him a power that can save
people. A boss fight against Ansem-Riku begins and after the boss fight,
Riku satisfyingly tells the echo to get lost and Shadow Riku disappears
for good. Riku then tells Mickey that once this is all over, he's going to
apologize to everyone he's wronged, especially Roxas.
(Kairi's Story Act 2 - Yen Sid's Tower)-Kairi and Lea have recapped Yen Sid about their encounter with Isa and
Yen Sid claims that he is unsure who the girl is, where she is, and why
she is within the ranks of the Organization at all. However, Yen Sid
claims that if she is connected to her dreams, then there is a way to solve
the mystery. Yen Sid explains that in ancient times Keyblade Wielders
developed a meditation technique in order to delve into their own
hearts, memories, and dreams. Yen Sid asks Kairi if she is up to the task
and she nods yes. The next cutscene shows Kairi with her eyes closed in
a meditation pose with her Keyblade on her lap, concentrating on Yen
Sid's words, he tells her to visualize and focus on the light within her
heart until she is in a deep sleep (Basically, this is ancient hypnosis).
(Dreamworld)-Kairi awakens to find herself within what appears to be a world mixed of
pieces from places she's been, however there are some parts that she
does not recognize. Kairi begins getting a small headache and in an
instant, Nightmare Dream Eaters appear to surround Kairi, after
defeating the Nightmares, Kairi hears the cry of a Meow Weow Spirit
Dream Eater. Kairi decides to follow the Spirit, not knowing where to go
next and deduces that he must be trying to lead her somewhere. The
Dream Eater Spirit leads Kairi to a dream version of Namine's room from
the mansion with Namine drawing in her seat as usual. Surprised, Kairi
asks Namine where she is, to which Namine replies that they are in the
Realm of Sleep and so Dream Eaters roam the Realm. Kairi is about to
explain the situation to Namine, but Namine interrupts, saying that she
already knows, due to being one with Kari. Namine then apologizes as
she explains that because she rejoined with Kairi, their memories are
colliding and are melding together, making it harder to remember their
most deepest memories. Kairi then apologizes to Namine for being so
eager bring Namine back into her body, Namine claims that she was
never meant to exist in the first place, but Kairi assertively tells Namine
not to talk like that, telling her that she is as much a person as her, Sora,
and Roxas, and tells her that she deserves her life as much as anyone.
Happy to hear these words, Namine sheds a couple tears and agrees to
help Kairi, telling her that they must travel to the center of her heart in
order to see her deepest memories and dreams. Namine claims that the
journey there will be perilous and so grants her the ability to use Dream
Eaters. In gameplay, Kairi can now use and customize Dream Eaters as
partners like in KHDDD. Kairi and Namine make it near the center of
Kairi's heart, however there is a darkness keeping them from reaching
it, the darkness is in the shape of none other than Apprentice Xehanort
and then transforms into the form of Terranort, a boss fight between
Kairi and Shadow Terranort begins. After the boss fight, the area then
turns into Kairi's Station of Awakening and then Namine appears, they
hold hands, and then they begin to concentrate and focus on finding the
mysterious girl (Xion) within Kairi's dreams. However, her memories
begin to collide with her dreams and so she sees glimpses of both the
blurry mysterious girl (Xion) and a young Kairi at Radiant Gardens with
her grandma. After that, Namine states that while they have more
questions than answers, Radiant Gardens may have the answers she's
looking for, Kairi agrees and then begins to disappear, waking up, but
not before she thanks Namine and promises that she will find a way to
free her. Kairi wakes up and Lea asks what she found out, she then says
she met up with Namine in her heart and may have found where to start,
Kairi then says "we're off to Radiant Gardens".
And that's part 5 of my rewrite, Riku and Kairi's story is only going to get more interesting from here so I hope you readers are excited.

I forgot about the Titans, but you also fight a Disney character in the Pirates world, which was a nice surprise. Keeping it fresh LOL. I knew Disney would have some overreach but I didnt even think about the examples you gave, i.e, Disney getting as big as they have; and the game is just way too linear with no puzzles.

Notice-This is part 15 of a multiple part rewrite of Kingdom Hearts 3, if you haven't read the previous parts then you may have to search throughout the comment section for it. To those who have read the previous part, I hope you've been enjoying it so far and enjoy the continuation of my rewrite.
(Final Story Part 6 - Keyblade Graveyard)-Riku looks around the battlefield and Ansem appears
, expressing his pride toward Riku's power to wield the Light and Darkness in tandem, claiming Riku to be the prime example of Xehanort's vision of a balanced world. Riku then tells Ansem that he's not wrong about the world being unbalanced, but that just like Light and Darkness must exist hand in hand, so must balance and unbalance. Ansem is enraged, as to him, Riku's words are insulting to Xehanort's vision. We then begin a scripted boss fight between Riku and Ansem and after lowering the boss's health to a certain point, a cutscene plays, showing Ansem creating a dimension of darkness and transforms into his second form from KHDDD. All of a sudden, a crack of light pierces through the dark dimension and Sora comes through it to help Riku, Sora and Riku agree to take on Ansem together, just like it should've been (Referring to KH1). A boss battle between Sora and Riku against Ansem (Second Form) and after the boss battle, a cutscene plays showing Ansem enraged by his defeat and so transforms into his final form from KH1. A boss battle between Sora and Riku against Ansem (Final Form) begins, the boss battle is similar to the final boss battle in KH1 combined with the mechanics of the Xemnas (Dragon Form) boss fight from KH2. The boss battle also allows Sora to use situation commands that trigger combination attacks similar to Sora and Riku's limit breaks in KH2. After the boss fight, Ansem's death scene is the same as in the original game.
(Final Story Part 7)-Kairi and Xion are watching from the sidelines, as Lea and Isa continue their battle. After the two jump down from midair, Isa then yells to Lea that it's time to finish things and Lea agrees. A scripted boss fight between Lea against Isa begins. After the boss fight, Lea tells Isa to stop and is then knocked down by Isa like in the original game. Just as Isa is about to deal the final blow, Xion blocks the attack and protects Lea. Lea then asks Xion what she's doing, Xion responds by telling Lea that he brought her back, despite her running. So this time Xion tells Lea that he can keep on protecting, but she'll always be there to have his back, making Lea smile. Lea stand up and summons his Keyblade, a scripted boss battle between Lea and Xion against Isa begins. After the scripted boss fight, Lea and Xion are knocked back by Isa and he praises them for how strong they are, but then says it's time to finally end this. Kairi then stands in between Isa and Lea and Xion, Kairi then says that they've been fighting for their freedom for too long, now it's time someone fought for them. Isa then charges at Kairi with the intent to destroy her, but Lea blocks the attack, telling Isa that it's time to bring him home. Lea pushes Isa back and Isa unleashes his full power berserk mode. A boss battle between Lea and Isa (Berserk Mode) begins, Isa has infinite Berserk Mode throughout the battle, making Lea rely on situation commands making Lea use special techniques to make Isa vulnerable to attack and damage him at the same time. After the boss fight, Isa falls to his knees and asks Lea why he won't strike the final blow, Lea then tells Isa that he realizes that Isa wants to disappear and that he intentionally made it so Xion's could return. Isa then reveals that despite his new found purpose, he wanted to atone for his past actions against Lea, Xion, and Roxas and after that, he wanted nothing more than to disappear. All of a sudden, a barrage of lasers rains down on Kairi and company and when the smoke clears, Xemnas appears. Xemnas mocks Isa for his betrayal and compassion towards Lea, Xion, and Roxas, he then shoots more lasers at Lea, who stands up. However, when the dust clears, Isa is shown to have blocked the blasts, Lea thanks Isa and Isa responds by saying that Lea's beginning to rub off on him. Lea then tells Xion and Kairi to stay back because the sun and moon are about to show what they can do together.
And that's part 15 of my KH3 rewrite, the next part will begin continuing where part 7 of the final story left off since it is not yet over. Until then, I hope you enjoyed this rewrite.

Notice-This is part 18 of a multiple part rewrite of Kingdom Hearts 3, if you haven't read the previous parts then you may have to search throughout the comment section for it. Since I'm not a UA-camr the comment section is the best I can do to get the rewrite out there. To those who have read the previous part, I hope you've been enjoying it so far and enjoy the continuation of my rewrite.

(Final Story Part 9.8 - Keyblade Graveyard)-Riku is healed by Sora and wakes up and just then, Master Xehanort floats down onto the structure, surrounded by his 13 Gazing Eye Keyblades, whilst wielding the original Gazing Eye Keyblade. Master Xehanort claims that he will have to deal with the rabble before he can begin the forging process. All of a sudden, Aqua, Terra, Xion, and Lea arrive to aid Sora, Riku, Roxas, and Ventus. A boss fight between the Guardians of Light and Master Xehanort (13 Keyblades) being, after getting his health to a certain point, Master Xehanort transforms into his Keyblade Armor and changes his moveset to No Heart's moveset from KHBBS Final Mix. After depleting one bar of Master Xehanort's health, a situation command, triggering a special move of one of the Guardians of Light also allows you to switch between each of them as a playable character. After the boss fight, a cutscene plays, showing Master Xehanort getting pushed back and he claims that it's time to stop holding back. Master Xehanort uses all of his Keyblades to knock down the Guardians of Light, he then returns to the rock pillar, reverts to his original form, and taunts the Guardians about how they couldn't protect Kairi. Riku and Mickey attack Master Xehanort the same way as in the original game and the cutscene of the X-Blade's forging continues the same way as in the original game, except that the scene is extended for Sora to say that he may know a way to save Kairi using the Power of Waking, while he's within the Portal. Mickey objects, but Riku tells Mickey to trust Sora the same way as the ending of the original game.
(Final Story Part 10 - Scala Ad Caelum)-The story is the same until after defeating the Xehanort Replicas, Xehanort would tell Sora that the way to save Kairi is to sacrifice his very being from this world, to which Sora has no objections to, causing Master Xehanort to smile. Master Xehanort wishes Sora luck and disappears, we search for the pieces of Kairi's heart and explore Scala Ad Caelum the same way as in the Re:Mind DLC. After finding the pieces of Kairi's heart, Master Xehanort appears and the cutscene of him telling Sora of Scala Ad Caelum and merging with his replicas is the same. We then get the same boss fight with Xehanort and after the boss fight, a cutscene plays, showing Donald and Goofy no longer having the strength to fight, while Sora is still able to keep going. All of a sudden, a bright yellow light shines over Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Master Xehanort, interrupting their battle.
(Final Story Part 11)-Meanwhile in the Keyblade Graveyard, the group is still holding back Kingdom Hearts and the story continues the same way as in the Re:Mind DLC with the Guardians of Light and Mickey having an epic boss fight against Xehanort's replicas, ending with the Guardians of Light going into the portal to help Sora.
(Final Story Part 12)-Sora, Donald, and Goofy appear floating within the Endless Sky and then the cutscene continues the same as in the Re:Mind DLC with Sora and Kairi reuniting until Master Xehanort (Armored 13 Keys Form) appears. Master Xehanort tells them that they alone cannot defeat him and that the Duck (Donald) and Dog (Goofy) are incapable of continuing the battle. A voice then says "They only need one more", Riku appears, much to Sora and Kairi's surprise and joy. Kairi uses her Power of Light to have Donald and Goofy float over the stage so they won't get caught in the crossfire, Riku then summons his Braveheart Keyblade and then Sora says that they've come a long way and now it's time to see just how far they've come. Master Xehanort claims that they've come this far only to fail and a boss fight between Sora, Riku, and Kairi against Master Xehanort (Armored 13 Keys Form). After the boss fight, Xehanort's armor breaks, creating a bright light that takes them all back to the Scala Ad Caelum wreckage. The cutscene continues as normal, except it has Kairi and Riku present, until Sora and company get to the roof of the Scala Ad Caelum to fight Xehanort. After Xehanort says his lines about Sora knowing about connections, Sora claims that he does believe he can defeat Master Xehanort here, but not alone. Just Then, all of the Guardians of Light appear to help Sora, bringing them all together at once and after that, the cutscene continues as normal with Master Xehanort summoning the X-Blade saying that there is one sky and one destiny, Sora and the Guardians of Light take their battle stance.
And that's part 18 of my KH3 rewrite, the next part will be the epic finale and go over post game DLC. So until then, I hope you've enjoyed this rewrite.

Remind saved Kairi for me but I'll agree the story only works if it's taken in as a chapter in a long story rather than as a standalone story. Clearly comes off as a rushed stepping stone onto bigger and better things. Totally understandable why a lifelong fan would have wanted it to be over.

(Final Story Part 1 - Keyblade Graveyard)-Sora is running through the battlefield and is confronted by Young Xehanort, Young Xehanort then tries to convince Sora about how creating a balanced world can bring an end to all of the suffering and chaos in the world. Sora then says that throughout his journey, he saw the harm of an unbalanced world, the damage darkness can do and also the damage light can do. But Sora then states that there doesn't have to be a winner, only people willing to protect both sides enough to the point where they don't have to fight anymore and so takes a fighting stance. Angered, Young Xehanort states that Sora will never understand, and so summons his No Name Keyblade. We begin a scripted boss fight against Young Xehanort until his health gets to a low enough point. After the boss fight, a cutscene plays, showing that Young Xehanort is being overwhelmed. Young Xehanort then laughs, confusing Sora, Young Xehanort then explains that while they hold the pieces of Master Xehanort's heart inside of them, they have yet to unleash their true power. Young Xehanort then taps into the piece of Master Xehanort's heart within him and transforms, donning the armor of the Xehanort Replicas from Scala Ad Caelum. Feeling outmatched, Roxas's heart reaches out to Sora again and then Sora transforms into his Double Form. The second half of the boss fight between Sora (Double Form) and Young Xehanort (Armored Form). After the boss fight, we get the same death scene with Young Xehanort from the original game.
(Final Story Part 2)-The cutscene of Riku fighting Dark Riku is the same, while being combined with the cutscene where Ansem escapes with an addition of Sora deciding to fight Xigbar and Riku deciding to fight Dark Riku. A scripted boss fight between Riku and Dark Riku begins, After the boss fight, the same cutscene of Riku Replica attacking Dark Riku is the same until he merges with him. Riku Replica decides to take control and fuse with Dark Riku, confusing Riku. Riku Replica then transforms into his Armored Form and tells Riku "Like I said, a true test for the Mark of Mastery". Riku Replica takes a battle stance and says to Riku that it's time to settle this. We then get a boss fight between Riku against Riku Replica/Dark Riku (Armored Form). After the boss fight we get the same cutscene of Riku Replica leaving Riku with a vessel for Namine combined with the cutscene of Demyx appearing to pick up the replica, except without Sora. The boss fight and fake death cutscene with Xigbar is the same, except without Riku.
(Final Story Part 3)-Aqua is combing the battlefield for an opponent, until Terranort tries to pull a sneak attack, which Aqua anticipates and blocks. Terranort tries to dissuade her, but Aqua just says shut up and fight to Terranort, beginning a boss fight between Aqua against Terranort. After the boss fight, we get a cutscene where Aqua is overwhelmed and before Terranort could strike the finishing blow, Ventus arrives and blocks the attack. Ventus pushes Terranort back and tells Aqua to stay back, Ventus then says that this time he'll protect her. A boss fight between Ventus and Terranort begins and after the boss fight, Ventus is knocked out and as Aqua sees Terranort about to kill him, she blasts him with a Dark Volley and reveals that she has transformed into her Anti Form. Terranort then smiles, stating that Aqua's anger has finally taken her, he then tells her to embrace the darkness. However, Anti-Aqua says that the only thing she is going to embrace is Terranort's destruction. A boss fight between Aqua (Anti-Form) against Terranort begins and after the boss fight, Aqua reverts back into her normal form for overusing her darkness to the point where she is no longer truly angry, but sad for Terra. Disappointed, Terranort decides to finish things, but before he can, the Lingering Will arrives to settle the score with Terranort. Terranort then claims that he thought he shook him earlier, but then says that he might as well take out the trash, beginning a scripted boss fight between Lingering Will against Terranort. After the boss fight, the second half of the Re:Mind cutscene of Lingering Will and Terranort plays, starting with them clashing their Keyblades and continues the same way except until after Terranort is about to destroy Lingering Will with his Guardian. Ventus, with an aura of light around him, saves Lingering Will and the cutscene continues the same until after Lingering Will is destroyed after saving Ventus, Terranort then gets a major headache (Terra fighting back) and the cutscene of Terranort using the Chains of Darkness to destroy Aqua and Ventus plays, except without Sora and is the same until after Terra is revealed to be the Guardian. A light shines from Terra's Guardian body, taking them into Terra's Station of Awakening, Terra then appears to Terranort and creates the same chain barrier around the station like in the Keyblade Graveyard in KHBBS. Terranort ask Terra how this is possible and Terra says that this is simply his body and he's taking it back. A boss fight between Terra against Terranort begins. After the boss fight, Terra satisfyingly destroys Terranort using his Chains of Light within the Station of Awakening, the next cutscene starts from the Guardian disappearing and placing Terra's heart back into his body and the cutscene continues the same way as in the original game, except without Sora.
And that's part 13 of my KH3 rewrite, the final battle only gets more exciting from here as the next parts get posted. Until then, I hope you enjoyed this rewrite.

Totally agree with all you said. I dislike this game so much that I get angry at people who likes this game. Graphic is nice? Look at other PS4 games, the graphic level constantly remind me of PS2 era, the character impression is non-existence. The game play is shit, brainless hack n slash and enemy attack are random and untimely. The combat camera is shit too because while you’re focused on one enemy you get interrupted with a enemy out of frame. Disney ride moves can’t reach levitated enemies. No clear intro to every enemy boss strategy, you basically had to hack away until you beat the boss without figuring anything out, it just finishes. I can go on forever, and I feel like this game draws in fans of Disney without knowing why people love Disney the first place. Although there is high expectation it is no excuse to praise a game that has nearly nothing to praise about.

I know I'm way late for this, but I'm posting my own KH3 rewrite on recent KH3 videos. The game was great, but I believe that the game could've been better and improved. This rewrite is meant to make the story and game as long or longer then Kingdom Hearts 2 and puts many earlier developments in the main story to rest, but also creates new ones for the next saga. This rewrite also combines scenes from Re:Mind so just pretend that there is no DLC expansion, as those should have been in the vanilla game. This rewrite is not meant to disrespect the original writers, this is just meant for fun. This story will be split into three stories, Sora, Riku, and Kairi's story, it runs on a certain order so changing the story order is not optional. Since this will be a long rewrite I may have to post the rewrite into multiple parts in the comment section since there is a limit on how long the comment can be, so forgive me if it seems like I'm commenting too much. I'm not a UA-camr so this is the best I can do to get my rewrite out there. I hope you enjoy the rewrite.
(Prologue)-The scene with young Eraqus and Xehanort is the same and then after
that, we get the scene with Aqua and Ansem the Wise, however instead of
Ansem, it's Terranort who arrives to question Ansem the Wise and fight
Aqua, who still has her Master Defender Keyblade. This is the first boss
fight and serves as the first tutorial for basic controls. After the tutorial,
a cutscene plays that shows Ansem and Xemnas intervening in the fight
to help Terranort. Aqua is confused on how these three people share
Terra's face, but continues to fight. The boss fight continues with Aqua
facing Terranort, Ansem, and Xemnas at the same time, except they
share a health bar. After the fight, the scene where Aqua is blasted into
the Dark Margin water is the same, except her Keyblade falls in with her,
explaining how it ended up on Destiny Islands. The scene of Sora,
Donald, and Goofy leaving Yen Sid's tower from 0.2 is the same.
(Olympus Colosseum)-Everything is the same until the meeting with Hercules, Sora lets
Ventus's name slip and Hercules hears this, catching his attention. Sora
then tells Hercules that they are looking for Terra, Aqua, and Ventus and
Hercules tells Sora that he knew them in his youth and also says that
once Hades is dealt with, he will do what he can to help find them.
Everything is the same until the meeting with Xigbar, which turns into a
boss fight as a way to test Sora's current strength. Everything is the same
until the fight with the Titan, as Sora will question his attraction flow
power in a brief extension of the cutscene after defeating the Rock Titan.
the story continues as normal until after the fight with the Titans, as
Zeus talks with Sora and claims that he has had his eye on Keyblade
wielders for a long time and admirers their courage and so gives Sora his
new red and black clothes using his godly magic. The conversation is
then interrupted by a hooded figure with a familiar voice (Vanitas).
Vanitas goes on to taunt and insult Sora on how weak he is because he is
so kind hearted and shows nothing but hatred toward Sora, so he
challenges him to a duel. Vanitas reveals his Keyblade, which surprises
Sora, and so they begin their battle. We then get a scripted boss fight
between Sora and Hooded Vanitas, after either bringing down Vanitas's
health or losing the boss fight, a cutscene plays with Sora awakening his
Guardian Form and pushes back Vanitas, but Sora still loses the fight due
to Vanitas's power. Vanitas then says to Sora that he isn't even worth a
Keyblade master's death and so leaves while telling Sora to come find
him when he becomes stronger, leaving Sora baffled. The ending scene
continues as normal, but I would add a new scene with Vanitas meeting
up with Master Xehanort on Olympus, who scolds Vanitas for acting
when he was ordered not to engage, Vanitas protests, but to no avail.
Master Xehanort then claims that he has a mission for Vanitas. Finally
we get the Remind cutscene showing the conversation between Xigbar
and Luxord as an extension of Maleficent and Pete's Pandora's Box
cutscene. (I would add Olympus Coliseum where Hades is the final boss of it)
And that's my rewrite of the prologue, I will post the next part as soon as possible, probably in a few minutes because I already wrote all of this down LOL. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the first part of this rewrite. Like this comment if you are excited for what comes next.

You can tell this game was rushed. The Hercules level is what all the levels were supposed to be. Instead they decrease in quality/depth of story with each iteration following mt Olympus. When I started the game I was so excited after playing Hercules for what the rest of the game would have in store, it was very clear to me that the devs were under a lot of pressure to deliver something by a certain date, and not something they would necessarily be proud of by the time consumers got to play it.

Couldn’t agree more. This game did not need to exist. There didn’t need to be an after credits cutscene in KH2 because that game was complete as it was. Trying to drag this franchise like it has a meaningful story and is more than just a fanfic for adults or a children’s game for well, children is worse than beating a dead horse.

Notice-This is part 17 of a multiple part rewrite of Kingdom Hearts 3, if you haven't read the previous parts then you may have to search throughout the comment section for it. Since I'm not a UA-camr the comment section is the best I can do to get the rewrite out there. To those who have read the previous part, I hope you've been enjoying it so far and enjoy the continuation of my rewrite.

(Final Story Part 9.5 - Keyblade Graveyard)-A scripted boss fight between Sora (Rage Mode) against Vanitas (Unmasked) begins. After the boss fight, a cutscene plays showing Master Xehanort watching Sora (Rage Form) and Vanitas's battle. Master Xehanort laughs and expresses his joy, yelling and boasting that Sora has finally given into the darkness and that he simply required motivation, unlike that feckless neophyte Ventus. Master Xehanort then shouts that this is why he chose Sora to become his thirteenth vessel, the fight between Sora (Rage Form) and Vanitas continues and then in a blink of an eye, Sora (Rage Form) attacks Vanitas with lightspeed and knocks him off the structure. Sora (Rage Form) roars to the sky, while his darkness begins to spread until he hears a familiar voice from behind him. "Come on Sora", Sora turns to see Riku, who then says "I thought you... were stronger then that". Sora roars at Riku, Riku then says that the others are on their way and he can't have them seeing Sora like this, Riku then tells Sora that he was always there to help him through the darkness, so now, it's time he saved Sora from it. A boss fight between Riku and Sora (Rage Form) begins and after the boss fight, a cutscene plays where Riku uses the Power of Waking to simply tell Sora that their going to save her within his Station of Awakening, leaving it up to Sora to control his darkness. After Sora reverts back to normal form, Riku passes out in Sora's arms, saddening Sora, Sora asks a passed out Riku how can he beat Xehanort and save Kairi if Xehanort's already won. Vanitas reappears and taunts Sora that by giving into the darkness, he could never know when he's going to lash out again like he did now. As Sora sheds a tear he hears a voice, "You worried?", Roxas appears, telling Sora that he's traversed much darkness and never let it destroy him, even when he was a Heartless. Ventus arrives and then states that Sora even traveled through the Realm of Darkness to not only save the worlds, but also return his heart, and that says something about Sora. Roxas and Ventus simultaneously say that whether he walks the path of light or darkness, Sora will always stand by his friends, because they are his power. Hearing these words, Sora places Riku down and stands up in confidence, standing in between Roxas and Ventus and they all take a battle stance. Vanitas then expresses joy to a reunion with his brothers and how he gets to destroy them all at once, Vanitas takes a battle stance and then a boss fight between Sora, Roxas, and Ventus against Vanitas (Unmasked) begins. After the boss fight, a cutscene plays, showing Vanitas instantly getting behind Ventus and then claims that he's about to show Sora and Roxas's his true power. Vanitas forcefully fuses with Ventus (Get your mind out of the gutter) and then transforms into Ventus-Vanitas with the incomplete X-Blade in hand. Master Xehanort expresses how weak his original plan was, as when he forges the true X-Blade, it will be stronger then that one ever was. (Calling back to his plan in KHBBS) Meanwhile, within his Station of Awakening, Ventus arrives to find Vanitas. Vanitas expresses how far they've come together and Ventus tells Vanitas that he finally accepts him as a part of himself. Vanitas then laughs and tells Ventus that all Xehanort did was rip him right out of him the same way as in Re:Mind, to which Ventus tells him to go back where he came from, Vanitas then tells him to make him. Ventus then summons his Keyblade and readies for his rematch with Vanitas, meanwhile, outside Sora and Roxas ready to fight Ventus-Vanitas. A boss fight begins between Sora and Roxas against Ventus-Vanitas, during the boss fight a situation command would allow you to switch between Sora and Roxas against Ventus-Vanitas and Ventus against Vanitas (Unmasked) within the Station of Awakening. After the boss fight, Ventus strikes the final blow to Vanitas, meanwhile in the Keyblade Graveyard, Ventus-Vanitas stops in his track and Sora and Roxas attack with a combination slash to defeat Ventus-Vanitas. Ventus and Vanitas separate and then the scene continues with Vanitas's death scene, which is the same as in the original game, except that Roxas is present.
And that's part 17 of my KH3 rewrite, the next part will begin the endgame of the final battle. Until then, I hope you enjoyed this rewrite.

    KH 4 needs
Final fantasy npcs and secret bosses
    At least 20 worlds
A final fantasy world would be Interesting
Some sort of customization like clothing
    Bring back disney bosses
Side stories where you play as Roxas and Riku
More magic customization like on final fantasy
Return of a BIGGER traverse town
    Final fantasy keyblades included
    Way more story depth
    More tournaments
    Some dragon quest npcs
    Fighting organisation 13 members
    Bigger worlds
I also think it should take some ideas from the ni no Kuni game
Scrap the gummi ship and use final fantasy air ships
Final fantasy monsters to fight not only just heartless and nobodies
I feel the series should also get darker
    A disneyland world
Customize ur own keyblade master for online mode
Allow sora to have final fantasy characters in his party I would love vivi to be a consistent ally like Donald and goofy
At least 20 hours of side quests
There should be 40 plus bosses on the game that are heartless Disney and finam fantasy based

I fully agree, kingdom hearts has just become Nomura's giant weeb disney fanfiction with ZERO ff characters.
He keeps on creating original characters out of thin air while sidelining FF.
Both Disney characters and original KH characters are owned by Disney, so if anything there's TOO much Disney!
Having FF elements like monsters, permanent party members, NPCs would make Kingdom hearts a dream come true.

Yo I fucken hate this game with a passion. What the fuck. I play kh for combat and The combat can be really fun in 3 but the majority the problems are extremely noticeable in critical mode. I like being able to save my keyblade forms but the attractions are so nasty on Disney’s side. Y can’t they Leave shit alone. There’s no strategy seems like they give you all these abilities that make you too powerful then there like “oh shit, lets artificially raise the difficulty and have enemies attack you from off screen givin no warning because we don’t know how to improve on a previously already successful battle system.” I get wanting to innovate but this shit is worse then ever before. It’s like they had a terrible development and this is the salvaged product. But of course Disney had to get there ads in. Can’t forget those that’s the main priority. Fuck all the final fantasy characters. Man I’m glad other ppl understand. Because I wanna play kh3 as a childhood fan but I just can’t do it. I regret every penny

Kingdom hearts 1&2 came out in 2002-2005. Square Enix forgot that fans of those games are 15 years older than they were back then and the story hasn't matured with the audience, it is actually less mature than Kh2. Another franchise that suffers from not knowing their audience in this way is pokemon. Most pokemon and KH fans are adults in their 20's and 30's, why are you still making your content to suit 10 year olds who are not fans of your franchise?

  • @Mono_303

Basically it should’ve ended at 2, because anything after is just a cash grab that Nomura was forced to make. KH3 with all the hype it had turned out to be a massive disappointment. The thing I hate about Nomura is wtf he did with the story after 2, it was already complicated enough. If the games aren’t made with passion or any real vision then we’re gonna get trash like Kh3.
