Oh I like the putting of the scores on the screen as you announce them! Sometimes I forget the first person’s score by the time the third person is telling theirs 😂
Wait, you talked to Bert? 'Our' Bert of 999games? My mind was blown thinking you know him 😃 As a Dutchie I think it's so cool you're showing a game by 999 games 🤩 Great game btw, I really liked the Crypts version!
Seeing the difference between how they color it in is priceless to me lol.... Nikki's board is so organized and pretty, while Mike is so chaotic with his scribbles lmaooo love it!! 🤣 This looks like the kind of game I'd be bad at, so I'm buying it for sure, seems like a fun a challenge!!
I found this an interesting idea and wished I could play the game, actually. But I agree, it feels a bit gimmicky. And also, there's the whole wearing of the pencils issue. I think this line of games would be more interesting if they just developed a plastic component that would be inserted in common pencils/pens, to make them rollable "pencil dice". That way, they could ship their games with a set of small, basic, pencils that would be used up and easily replaced by the owners of the games, assuring that they actually have some longevity and flexibility. You might even sell separate plastic inserts with specific distributions different from this one, opening a whole sub-market. This seems a way of lazily maximizing the profits of what is essentially a gimmicky component, unfortunately.
Hmmm, so you wear out your dice by using them to colour in. Also, rolling the pencils will most likely break the lead inside. So when you sharpen them the lead will just fall out. So, better to just use your own colouring pencils, and if that's the case...could've just been dice that you roll. Or is there more to this that I'm missing? Sorry for being negative, but it seemed strange to me.
I think its harder to role the pencils than a dice so dice can't replace the pencil rolling part. And besides that it's not six on the pencils so yeah..
@LillaJag don't get the harder to roll part, sorry. You are still rolling something that gives you an outcome. And of course, they could just be custom dice with two ones on them, instead of a 6. Just like they've done with the pencils.
They are valid criticisms. Imo the game is almost pure gimmick and could have easily been done with coloured dice and pencils separately. I don't think there's much of a game there either
All valid... The way I see it, it's a great concept and nice touch to the game to have the pencils as what you roll. Sometimes those little differences makes a game really stand out and unique next to all the games with 6-sided dice. To each their own, I'll probably just buy a cheap color pencil pack while using the pencils from the game only for rolling purposes.
I was thinking this. I don't like these style of rolling, same with cylinder dice. Also, those pencils are small, they will be gone fast. Colored dice and a set of pencils would have been way better. Just seems like a cool idea in concept but doesn't land for me unfortunately. At least they did provide pencils though. I've had plenty of roll and writes recently not come with pencils, looking at you French Quarter!

Seeing how stoked Nikki was about this game is great!

No points for "making it look pretty"!
When I get get this I'm going to use other colored pencils for,the actual coloring in. So the pencils don't wear out
That's a good idea, I like it! 👋
"I got 61. What happened?!". Erm, you didnt listen to the rules haha. Love the video guys
I even said, "I think I messed up a rule!"
Nice idea using the pencils.
We used to play Cricket with pencils we marked ourselves.
"That's a large straight."
Mike and I were on the same sheet.
These look cool!
Such a fun game!

Don't know how many games we have messed up the rules on the first go. Hehe
I don't really get this one. Doesn't seem like the best roll and write.
