What a brilliant video. Thank you. Knowing what do makes all the difference. My wife was very impressed! Plus it saved the hassle of sourcing and fitting a replacement. Excellent presentation and tips, top marks!
Absolutely made up with this. Just got to site and nothing working. the same as this. Followed this and yes it was jammed. Freed it off and it works great so a big thank you from me.
Immediately thought that it was the blue button/ bezel so I am just about to replace the whole unit. However, in searching out you video, I realise that there are other possible faults (fuse & pump!). Thanks for posting; I will let you know how I get on!
Haha😂 dropping that screw must have been a low point. Glad you loved the feeling of accomplishment but just imagine how good I feel at having created such a successful bog fixing vid. Enjoy the freedom of your next dump on the road Nick. Thanks for the appreciation.🚽
A Very Pleased Bunny here, when I found your video that showed my Thetford Model and how to remove the button plate and yes, the impeller was siezed solid but all is well now 🤞 Many Thanks!
Please may I thank you for saving me a whole load of work. I was all ready to renew the pump, but when I forced the rotor to turn it immediately started running. Thanks again.
Good video thanks! I changed the fuse first but managed to blow it again without realizing whilst clearing the pump so if it doesn't work, try a fuse check after everything's done. One happy father in law!
Thanks. I needed to know how to get into the cistern. Trying to lever up that top panel would have been a last resort - but I now know that is the right answer!
Great video, I'm sure that must be what the problem is with mine. I'll check tomorrow. Our scenario is exactly the same as yours. Here's a laugh, went to Halfords for new fuses and asked for an 'E' not 3 lol. Bloody eyesight. 🤣🤣🤣
@@AndySanderson I'm from New Zealand, we use our caravans all year round. It was just age and general maintenance this time. Thanks for putting up this clip, I use UA-cam for lots of fixit issues.
Useful info. BTW it’s really easy to reach the fuse with the waste tank out. I’m not 100% sure but it might need a 5amp fuse. Other Thetford toilets do. That might be the reason it blew.
@Andy Sanderson if it easy to dismantle and clean that switch on the top (under the blue press button) as mine is sticking on when you press it (feels like it sticky beneath).
My toilet has the exact same issues, blowing fuses just happened this year, I think I forgot to drain it down last year, I've had a look inside and it's a black mess, so I've flushed it out a few times, put some Milton in, I'll let that dissolve the rest of the algae, before I attempt to remove the pump, but thanks for the video, I'm pretty sure this is the problem :)
Great video, it is best to put a rag in the hole to stop the screws falling into the cistern
Thank you. That's a sensible suggestion.

Thanks! Fixed in 15 minutes….even after dropping a screw into the cistern (recovered). The excitement of fixing it just got to me!

Cheers Paul.

Great advice. First time using the toilet on site, flusher not working. Straight to the problem with this video, propeller stuck.

Thanks. Exact same problem. Fixed and cleaned up around the top while at it. Simple when you know how. 👍
Good work let’s hope it doesn’t need doing again next year if it’s drained down.

Thanks… showed me exactly how to get to the impeller which was ceased solid. Got it moving and now all works perfectly. 👍
Great to hear. I’m really glad I bothered recording this, quite a few people seem to have the same problem to deal with.

Thank you for the video! I've just managed to sort out the same issue 😀
Well done. Happy travels.
Great video, very informative, fixed my issue straight away 👍👍
Why not pull the cassette out to access the fuse?
That seems like it maybe a good suggestion! I can’t remember, it was a few years and a couple of Motorhomes ago 😊
Thank you so much. Perfect Video.
Nice of you to say thanks.
Thanks, I will give that a go in the morning, cheers. 😉👍
Good luck. Just take your time.
Great timing my loo has just stopped working, . So I will have a look at mine 👍
Haha thanks John. Buy some Imodium for back up though 🤣🤣🤣
