For anyone doing this, I do suggest sub-assemblies. If you leave the bronze pauldron off then you don't need to attach the top cloak making the skirt-cloak easier to paint as well as his back. You can also put the head on later.
The cloak will go on properly even with the bronze pauldron on if you kinda push the side that goes under the pauldron into its fitting first, Be sure to be gentle though!
I loved painting my Lord-Commander, sti a novice painter and this was my first venture outside of 40k. However, I forgot to store it properly, and my cat likes chewing things 😅
Very nice work. I am debating about getting him but since I have chosen the hallowed knights chapter his bonuses have no affect on my army. Will you be doing Skumdrek for the Krulboyz? I got him painted but not his swamp beast
@@Warhipster totally understand I’m sure me asking for these kind of request is annoying lol. I’m still painting my gut rippas and hob grots so I’m in no rush to paint him yet.
just right on time. thank you for the painting guide. will be following some of your guide. was hoping you shared your tips on the helmeted version of it
just a question, i notice the badge on the left hand side of the model, you only place the blood angels red. was that the only colour and leaving it at its based coat of Wraithbone Primer? do correct me if i am wrong?
I like to use brushfuls of paint on my palette and I'll always take the Medium first so as to avoid contaminating it. I know some folks like to use pipettes, but that's too much faff for me!

And with that done... I need to go to the shops to buy half the paints I don't have. :'D
Superb painting! Thanks for the video.
This is what I wanted! Love following your tutorials, although recently I've been swapping alot of the citadel metallics for the scale 75 metallics
Yes, i swapped nearly every colour to Scale 75. They are brilliant 😊
Glad I could help Nick!
This is such an awesome model and you've done a great job of it.
Thank you very much!
You can cut your time in half and get a better look if you dry brush the metallics. Artis Opus has a great video on the stormcast eternals for this.
Love what you do with contrast paints. Your techniques has helped me improve my painting alot so thank you for sharing

I'd like to cover him patton, it's just a case of time now!

Great painting! Thanks for the video! I'm sure that's the Arcanum soundtrack?
Hello to my favourite painter!, 1 question do you add some water to retributor armor when you aplied it ?
Another brilliant video, the best contrast painter out there... By far!
Thank you so much 😀
All tutorials should be like this one. Liked and subscribed.
Thank you so much!
Well done, music was also a very good choice as well.
Thanks Niko!
Nice !
Is there anything he can’t do? No.
I'm sure Alice would disagree! xD
Damn this is good
Thanks Rich!
Thank you Josh yet again another great video
My pleasure!

Those surrounds of the gems are painted in the same way as the rest of the armour, then given a little dot of Lugganath Orange as a highlight.
@@Warhipster i see but the wraithbone of the left badge, the face you left it as it is correct? Other then the painted gem
Ah I see! In that case, I did that just like the shoulder pad face in this video: ua-cam.com/video/90VGdhTBn-s/v-deo.html
@@Warhipster ahh cheers for that
How do you recommend mixing the contrast medium with the paint?
