Painted mine using this tutorial, its such a fabulously done tutorial, started off unsure but as you add each layer and stage it really brings it all together into a really nice piece, mine turned out much darker than yours unsure if its the camera or my contrasts were not thinned as much, but i love it looks almost like a dark brown autumn leaf, Thanks for this :D
Now your mat is forever scarred like he! XD Wonderful tutorial, I did start on a Mawcrusher without a plan, but I might tidy him up with some ideas from this. Many thanks!
Love this video. Been a big help to me since I'm a beginner. Just a thought for other videos, show what you do to the underside of the wings, and belly as you go. Maybe turn it upside down.
So happy you’ve done both Krondys and Karazai! Both models are just so glorious , any chance you’re also going to tackle that Corpse Rippa Vulcha for the Kruleboyz too?
Geez i always waited for the day when this gonna happen. Go get some 3D printed pot holder with a warhipster logo :D Amazing tutorial as always Thanks!!
I have indeed - I've recently done a video on the Great Unclean One and on Plaguebearers, which can both be found in this playlist: ua-cam.com/video/FNNfqcZd_FA/v-deo.html

Awesome guide took some from here as I started the gw tutorials but theirs was really half assed for the later stages, happy with my results.
And another great paint job done by the king of contrast. Thank again.
Thank you so much John!
Just saw it on the Warhammer Website, one look at the paintjob and the base and I knew it was yours. Congratz!
Haha, thank you so much Kerath!

Haha, it is indeed scarred forevermore! A Maw-krusha in this style sounds really cool, you'll have to let me know how it turns out.
Thx so much for all these fantastic painting guides
Thank you so much for watching them!

Thank you soo much for this tutorial, realy happy how my own dragon turned out 😀
That’s awesome!! I’m so glad to help!
So happy you’ve done both Krondys and Karazai! Both models are just so glorious , any chance you’re also going to tackle that Corpse Rippa Vulcha for the Kruleboyz too?
Thank you Luke! I actually got Gobsprakk for my birthday back in September, it’s now just a case of finding the time for him!
Geez i always waited for the day when this gonna happen. Go get some 3D printed pot holder with a warhipster logo :D Amazing tutorial as always Thanks!!
Now that's a good idea! I shall have to have a look into that.
Fantastic! Would also love to see a Mirebrute Troggoth guide!
Thank you very much! I've got the Mirebrute on the list, so it's all about finding the time now.
Do you make your contrast mixtures on a wet or dry pallet? Or do you store them in bottles?
Wanna buy two more dragons and paint them green and white maybe? Might as well go for all the Chromatic Dragons from DnD ;)
Funnily enough, my Stormdrake Guard are a kind of green and white scheme...
That beginning 😂😂😂
I know, I'm one of you mortals now!
Thanks
Thank you so much!
There’s his fur on his legs/arms and beard. I might have missed what the scheme is, what color was used on those parts?
It’s Cygor Brown! It’s done at the same time as the dark Scales part around the shoulders over the back etc etc.
He looks crack'a'lacking good and we now know you are not a Contrast painting Alien sent to show us all up and in fact just a very talented human.
Thank you Russ! There's some who'll still think I'm an alien and I'm alright with that.
The GW paint pot holder may look like a waste of money but, after spilling a few pots of contrast, I can honestly say it's the best £6 I ever spent!
I have a very nice pair of contrast and shade joggers so I too invested in one of those, best few pounds ever spent.
Aye, I'm beginning to think it might not be a bad investment. I might even have one already, ironically enough.
Just started using cygor brown, 6:1 mix. My Karazai is turning out very brown and not a deep red as in your video. Any idea where I have gone wrong?
Karazai is scarred now after seeing that spillage
He's not the only one!
haha, happens to everyone. Have you thought of ever painting some maggotkin?
I have indeed - I've recently done a video on the Great Unclean One and on Plaguebearers, which can both be found in this playlist: ua-cam.com/video/FNNfqcZd_FA/v-deo.html
How do you figure what paints go with the schemes?
I usually start out by looking at the GW scheme, then I look through the Citadel Colour app to see what colours are close to that then go from there.
Karazatastic!
Haha, cheers!
Music you played at the beginning of the video?
That is the rather wonderfully named 'Dragon Call' by Deskant that I got from Epidemic Sound.
That happens to the best of us.
Right? I'm not even the best of us, but I certainly try!
how to do you have such fine control over your brush while painting? It boggles me that you're able to paint with such control.
It’s a lot of practice - I tend to spend around 10 hours a day painting between commissions, work for the channel and my own stuff.
Could be worse, my entire bottle of akelihan geeen fell over my table. Geuss that i'll have to paint it that green further now
It is a lovely colour though. I have an Akhelian Green Sofa! not because of the paint, just because it looked very similar.
@@Warhipster it is but its gonna cost a fortune getting so much akelihan green for a table
aaah the horror of washes + contrast pots xD
The downfall of many a painter!
he's definitely spent too long in the realm of beasts, KO'd that pot!
Haha, yes! That's his Ghurish spirit coming out there.
i sniff a tyrnaid paint sheme here
Ooh, that could be very cool!
Karazai the Spilled
Like so many others.
NOOOOOOO I did that with Magmadroth flame....big sad.
I HATE those pots I have done this 3 times myself. Really wish GW would go to dropper bottles
Intrusive ads break the flow, popping up at the most interesting parts!
Hmmm I’ll see if I can shift them out of the way! Annoyingly I can’t state where the ads go but I’ll see if I can turn off the In Video Ads for you 💪🏻
RIP paint
The tiniest of violins.
